Workers and unions must become an essential part of managing corporations.
Unions are no longer a legitimate compromise between worker and ownership classes. Worker cooperatives and government ownership /management of public goods / resources, plus full supply chain price control and a UBI, would go a long, long way to restoring democracy, a government FOR the people, etc.

Still can't understand how everyone who's not very wealthy doesn't support him. Even people who were very upper middle class (or higher) have been bankrupted by things like cancer. Supporting Bernie Sanders' policies = supporting your own economic self-interest. But sadly, most people vote on social issues and/or are not very well-informed or interested in such things.

You know each time Donald Trump comes to Michigan, I dread his presence. He is awful. I can't wait for him to leave. I won't go see if or listen to any of his baloney. He makes me sad, aggravated, and mad. But, I can't wait for Bernie to show up. I would be really happy to meet him. What a wonderful man he is! Yeah, I was one of the Democrats that wanted Bernie Sanders in 2016. I didn't want Hillary Clinton because she screwed up NY in general even as a former Mayor's secretary. Also, Bernie Sanders Actually know his game. It's sad that the DNC Let him go because they think his ideas are too extreme besides the old age factor. If Bernie Sanders was running for President in 2016, Drumpf would've lost big time! in 2016, Let's just say Bernie would've gotten above 350 in the Electoral College if Hillary wasn't elected. Nominee All the States, Michigan, Pennsylvania and even Wisconsin wanted Mr. Bernie Sanders. In 2020, He had to give up and gave his Nominee status to Joe Biden because Sanders knew history will repeat itself, if he didn't concede his final run!
This wonderful man is not only Vermont's senior senator but he's meeting in various states to support the minimum wage increase to $15.
Say goodbye to jobs in any state that adopts that.

More specifically it's a life where one has time to restore their energy and heal from the damage they take while working. Like getting a vacation, weekends off, decent pay, and healthcare when needed. To not just exist to die sooner for the profit of some rich D-head. To not go homeless despite having a job.

I was surprised when Biden started talking about these things too. I never expected that. Too bad most Americans pay more attention to cult of personality than to actual policy. No other administration has done as much for average Americans in over half a century. Sure we deserve even better, but we'll never get that if we don't choose the best we can and reward good behavior. Criticizing bad behavior only works when good behavior is rewarded.

In my short life of 71 years, I've seen a time when 1 income can own a house, feed, and educate a family with 8 children. Now without 2 full time incomes you won't even qualify for a rental, you won't be able to pay car payments, and insurance. This year alone, home owners insurance went up 50%, and they are warning us to prepare for several years of increases like we have never seen before.
I also am 71 and the oldest of 8 kids. My mom never worked until her older years. We weren't rich by any stretch of the imagination, but, we did ok. Father was an over-the-road truck driver so my mom handled most everything! Miss her bunches.

What even is the minimum wage in the USA right now? I remember a few years back Chile had higher minumum wage than the USA, and they went through the whole Pinochet debucle to be rolled back into hard capitalism.
Federal min wage is 7.25 an hour. It can vary by state, but it can't be less than the federal amount

The FIRST King discovered that if he told enough people that God had told him God wanted him to lead the people and be their King, that enough people were gullible enough to believe him and would follow him as their King. And not only that, but the people would work and produce crops and goods and services and give their wealth to the King, and the King and his Wife and Family would never have to do an honest day's work or anything productive and useful. And so it was! And other egotistical and conceited individuals soon learned that they could get people to believe they were special too. And that is how it began. That some people are privileged while the majority of people struggle their entire lives and never get ahead or have anything while a few have far more than any group of people could ever possibly need.
I have had to give up driving my car insurance is to expenive. I have no tickets or accidents. Clean record. It went up by 1/3.
All of this is factual but I believe the problem is even more insidious. When workers get more free time, what do they do with it? Since our culture teaches more is better, many use the time dividends to take on extra employment to complete in the income and acquisition of stuff game. In other words we have to re-evaluate our priorities to live a truly rewarding life. I don't see a consumer based economy facilitating the change.

Then why did most tech companies have to have mass layoffs because of the Chips Act? How can you show that they're producing more? They're produced by machines, it's not some 13 year old in a factory hand feeding thread into a spool anymore. Inflation is a lot worse then everyone says, we're going into a recession, I mean are you saying you'd completely neglect inflation, possibly increase it, and the only people we should be blaming are tech companies? They don't make up the CPI at all, I mean it's like you're trying to sabotage the last sector of the markets that has still kinda done well, along with Nancy Pelosi and her insider trading reports. Why is establishing socialism more important then individual issues where that isn't the crux of your argument?
