That's why I love One Piece and One Punch Man. This is a one page worthy moment while in One Punch Man, one swing could take up an entire chapter. And you wouldn't complain. Full color Metal Knight appearance and Boros ship maze. Was way more pages than they needed and was on par with a cover page story of a One Peice chapter.

0:48 Luffy casually telling Kaku he left Lucci at the side is humorous just as an exchange, but how the animators moved Luffy in such a nonschalaunt way after Zoro’s been dodging for his life makes it 10x funnier.
Probably figured for him to think: "compared to being endlessly barraged by Katakuri's attacks for 11 hours, this is chill." But you're right about Kaku's reaction.
Luffy does have pretty good control over Observation Haki so it's probably easier for Luffy to dodge without much effort

Can we talk about how S-Hawk lost his kicks when he used the Dice Dice Fruit on his feet
Paramecia fruits mess with clothes just like it messes with the users body. Just like luffy's clothes stretch (then again luffy is a zoan now so use the next example) or buggy's clothes split apart and reattach.

The way the atacks are reflected on the eyes of the characters is really especial... the animation team work is out of this world!
This animation is truly MAGNIFICENT. There's SO many details, between the second 0:05-0:06 how Mihawk's face reflects like a shadow on S-hawk face, MR.1, the little dance S-Hawk does, the explosions in black and white with greens and reds, the movement, the frames without lines all base colors, Kaku's travelling while suffering, the sweat drop, S-Hawk nightmarish faces, everything is SO BEAUTIFUL. I know what's going to happen in the next chapter and if the animation is like that I can't wait to see. THIS IS SO BEAUTIFUL MY GOD I CAN'T STOP REPLAYING THIS SCENE AND I NEED TO GO BACK TO WORK.

An example would be the camera movement around the 30-40 second mark. In my opinion a little less camera movement while keeping the character movement would have been better.

clean, fluid, and easy to follow, not dragging everything out with excessive and long wind ups, and most importantly, NO OBNOXIOUS AURAS. this is one of the best one piece clips I've seen in a long time, hope it stays like this

This is what Zoro fights have been missing for so long, in Wano it was just crazy laser beam sword fighting, its epic to see some actual choreography and using Kaku as comic relief is fantastic
Zoro having to toss around and carry Kaku is karma for him having to be carried while Sanji fought for multiple episodes 😂😂

Ngl Thriller Bark made me drop the show on my first watch, that was a couple years ago now and I’m glad I eventually continued watching, the arc afterwards is genuinely one of my favorites in the entire show.

They definitely spent all of Sanji's budget on this scene. That beam deflect later on is going to be a 7 frames drawn out into 240 and they'll make him cough up blood straight after doing it so he doesn't actually give off the impression he's a competent member of the straw hats. Toei have an agenda I swear on it.

I dunno if this makes sense but watching S-Hawk fight reminds me startlingly of Damien Wayne from Batman. It’s almost a little uncanny. I’m almost waiting for him to say “That’s the difference between us. You hold a weapon. I AM a weapon” in his littke kid mihawk voice

it’s crazy how S-Hawk is like a living throwback to all of Zoro’s major opponents. He’s the clone (and in a loose sense, biological son) of both Dracule Mihawk from Baratie and King from Wano Country, he’s emulating the powers of Daz Bonez from Arabasta, and several of his leg-based attacks are highly reminiscent of Kaku’s Four-Sword Style from Enies Lobby. Combined with Kaku himself thrown in the mix (much to his dismay), it’s like a waltz down memory lane! Which is funny, because S-Hawk is a clone and does not have Mihawk’s actual memories, only his muscle memory.
toei today with several good animators such as Vicent, chis, ishizuka, henry turley, shida, fosto, midora matsuda, yong ce tu, and sugita, when both in action do not disappoint.

Since Wano, the animation has been excellent, but this particular scene's choreography is beyond wild.
