Look, ADHD brain. I often forget stuff like that and accidentally set myself back when I'm excited. In that sense, it would make sense for her to make a mistake like that since she is so excited to show the Movie to Elster. Not saying it isn't a mistake worth pointing out, but it's cute if you read it the right way and not at all a problem in the writing.

Fun fact: Elster Units are not supposed to see unit photos, watch movies, read books, or listen to music, as it jeporadizes their mental stability, and causes Gestalt memories to leak through.
This is hinted to be the reason Elster first thinks she's looking for Alina Seo at the start.

That explains why the photo of Elster and Araine in the Penrose was like that before it changed to Alina Seo after the Prologue. . . Huh.
But there is no obvious connection between Elester and Alina Xiao.
Yes, it is known that her neural structure is copied from the military woman Vinneta, but there are too many Vinetians in the game to connect Alina Xiao with Elester’s gestalt memories.
But! Alina Xiao is mentioned in Ariana's notes. Namely, Ariana very often compared herself with her back on the Rotfront, at first she was only attracted by the external similarity, then her thoughts reached the possibility of being happy in Evsan, if she had a different fate.

So when you think about it, not only Lilith Itou died once, but twice. And the Eusan Natian thought that showing war movies, photos of Gestalt soldiers, reading books, and listening to music were just part of the persona degradation, but it turns out, Ariane is unintentionally stabilizing Elster with Love.
Some of the stuff I'm about to say could be wrong, but with the recent update, I believe it was confirmed that theres no risk of mental stabiltiy when interacting with such. As it states that fetish objects are there to make sure that the replika units stay complacent and at their jobs. Whole bunch of stuff like that in the room where the Ara is
There is only one problem with this work of art, actually the same problem i have with the game.

I actually like how Elster's frame is a bit bulkier in this one. In the game she's a bit more slender but I like the representation of different body types.

Ariane is an interesting individual. She supposed to have so much time to read those instructions while chilling on that ship. She wasn't curious even for a bit about them
Must be pretty intelligent too to be able to survive and keep the ship running with lstr 2000 cycles after the expected date they would die without those manuals

Озвучка не двухголосая, кстати :) Обеих героинь озвучивает одна девушка. Глянь еще ее работ по Сигналису, она - настоящая находка для фэндома!

Storyboard, writing, and direction -wise, this thing really is too cool!!!! Really shows a great understanding and skill in such fields. Also the voice actresses were very suiting!

Despite not being a fan of war movies I hope that Elster found something to enjoy in it being that it was something Ariane enjoyed

Great animatic and really cute. It made things click for me.
A girl who looks just like an unknown war hero joins the military and is paired with a robot with the cloned consciousness of the deceased war hero's lover. In not reading or respecting the documents given, she shows movies, music, art to this robot. They enjoy war movies, specifically. This triggers gestalt memories in the Elster unit. Ariane can't help but fall in love, how could she not? But Elster isn't human, and really, much of what you go through as Elster is Ariane's fault, for not treating the equipment properly.
But even though Ariane was irresponsible long before she understood her mission was nearly a fruitless suicide mission, you still can't blame her for falling in love, wanting to share with Elster. We created such humanlike things but in the user manual deny them their humanity. Such cruelty and hubris should lead to downfall.
Anyway, love this game and great animatic!
I wish there are a lot more sorts like this one on signalis, you did such a great job on this one brother. I hope we see more of your work.

There’s a little character difference I noticed in my play through once you get past the fakeout ending and you remember Ariane, before that point Elster couldn’t and wouldn’t read certain parts of reports but when you play as Ariane’s Elster for the first time forward you’re able to read just about every document presented to you without an issue for the most part. I love how that was captured in this animation here and I’m gonna go sob now.
