You are also very funny and crack me up when you belly laugh. Just found your channel and look forward to enjoying you videos.
when my horse died at the end , i had to pause the game to sob. it was the 'unruly bastard' i got from Hosea. named him Brutus, the only black shire in the whole game. i had high bonding but low honor i think , so my Arthur was like double gut punched with that. because low honor arthur is like "yeah i deserved that" alot of the time , so that mindset applied to the horses cruel death in combination with the high bonding I had with it gave me an incredibly unique dialogue. my arthur just sorta sobbed out for a quick moment before John yelled for him to hurry. it was heartbreaking
I once did a play through on RDR2 where I used Hamish’s horse Buell, I finished Arthur’s chapter with Buell and I tell you. When Buell got shot and Arthur runs back to tell him thank you as he’s dying, that broke me lol
@@screenedat0m my wife played the game using the same horse she got from the beginning of the game, never switched it once. When her horse died and the cutscene played she legit started bawling lol

I'm a non horse girl as well and played RDR2 with my boyfriend and it was GREAT lol. You should definitely play it if you get the chance. Incredible story and characters.
I love Red Dead Redemption and RDR-2. I've spent countless hours virtually camping out, fishing, hunting, and just lopin' around the map real lazy-like.
Do you guys have the same editors post content at the same time I’ve noticed sometimes papa and creep cast post at the same time now I’ve got beerpup content at the same time too WhT a blessed day
I can see a game about a horse living through a significant historical event being a thing. They could even be clever about it and show it all through a horse's eye. Like, horsie doesn't care about politics. Horsie wants to run and eat and sleep and play. y'know? similarly to how in stray you just wanna be with your kitty family and play
Knowing that you're into games too I think a lot of us would love to see some gameplays! Maybe a Red Dead playthrough, maybe It Takes Two with the husband👀 Love your videos, this has unexpectedly become my comfort channel
You forget the knights! Kidding aside, if you wanna drip out horses in fancy historical clothes and armor to ride across Europe, definitely check out Kingdom Come: Deliverance. One of my favorites as a knightly equestrian and the sequel (KCD2) comes out next month!
I got one of the diseased horses from the Murfree brood and named him Zombie. I got him because he reminded me of the horses of the apocalypse from Undead Nightmare.
I’m not a horse girl or ever really wanted to play this game until this very moment. You had me at dragging a body to its death. Plus, crimes on horseback sounds fantastic. I’m glad I clicked on this video.
I know he's not a good pick for the game, but I love the Shire Horse you're supposed to sell at the beginning of the game. He's my boy. Kept him till the end of the game and cried when he died.
Been replaying Red Dead Redemption 2 for about a week now (and seems like everyone else is to for some reason lmao) but this was perfectly timed 😂 keep up the excellent work
Just jumped back into RDR2 after 1.5 years of not playing. My favorite game ever. The first thing I ever saw about Red Dead Redemption 2 was the horse balls physics that they would shrink in the snowy and cold areas.
Great video! I did not know that they used mocap for the horses, but that makes so much sense. The RDR2 horses are definitely some of the most realistic I’ve seen in gaming.
I've never played Red Dead Redemption but for years I've played a game called Horse Isle. Horse Isle is a horse game that was created and developed by a Husband and Wife and their small team. Horse Isle 1 was launched in 2007 (around when I first started playing it), Then they came out with HI2 in 2010, and Now we are on Horse Isle 3 in 2019. The graphics are nothing compared to RDR but it does have an amazing genetics aspect when it comes to breeding. In Horse Isle 3 you can breed and create your own custom breeds, there's hundreds of actual breeds to choose from and so many colors and coat patterns. You can also create your own competition courses of all disciplines. Back when I was a teen I would spend hours trying to find a horse game I actually enjoyed and well... back in 2007 (Yes, Let me age myself) Horse Isle 1 was the best I could find and I've played off and on throughout the years. After watching this video I intend to finally give RDR a try as I now also enjoy FPS and Survival games. So for now, Horse Isle is my favorite horse girl game but maybe RDR will take the cake?
My favorite horse girl game is Rival Stars Horse Racing just because of the lineage and breeding aspect. The horse color variations is crazy and a great part of the game is that it's still constantly updating. I play it on steam
Great video! I love your channel so much :) On my first playthrough of RDR2, my first horse (who I did, admittedly, buy for a whopping $20 from the stable in Valentine) was named Samwise. His stats kind of sucked at first and he was malnourished, but by the time I was getting to the end of Chapter 1, he was great. I gave him a mohawk and the best saddle I could afford. That stupid video game horse was literally my pride and joy - I took to calling him Samwise the Great. And then, tragedy struck when I least expected it. I got off my horse to help some guy on the side of the road and he shoved me over and stole Samwise. I chased after him, but it was too late. I had also never played the game before, so I had no idea that you could whistle for your horse and get them to buck the thief off and I didn't think to shoot him either because I was so distressed. I literally just chased him on foot, desperation clawing at me. I'll never forget the absolute sorrow that washed over me when they disappeared out of my sight and my saddle was dropped on the trail like just another piece of trash. I was fucking devastated to the point that I had to walk away from the game for a couple days. The best part? I had adamantly feared and hated horses for the majority of my life before this stupid fucking game. Nowadays, I'm still deathly afraid of horses, but my hatred has turned into adoration, albeit tentative. Because now I can't help but see Samwise the Great in each of their clever eyes and silly little mannerisms. I think that's something really special, and it's exactly what art is supposed to incite in us as humans - understanding. It's just another aspect of the game that makes the story even more bittersweet and meaningful. Even when the whole of the gang and the world is against him, Arthur (and by extent, you as a player) will always have his horse. And isn't that something?
I just got Rdr2 this year (2024) and after having played Star Stable since I was 8?! its a whole new world dude, I'm so glad I convinced myself to get Rdr2. I've not even finished it yet but I will ALWAYS recommend Rdr2 to anybody whose never played it- even if you already watched someone played it. I really like the environment aspect too bc I grew up in South Dakota near the Black Hills. They did a really good job capturing the beauty of the Midwest.
I've spent countless hours just riding around in these games. Red Dead Redemption is one of my favorite games of all time. I was a little overwhelmed by the sheer scope of RRD2 and was not able to get into it right from the get go. Was just too stressed with all the things you could do, but I finally did play it and just took my time and immersed myself into the world. Even after so much time playing the second one, I still discover things I didn't know was there. I'll have to do a fresh play through at some point.
Although it wasnt very customizable, i grew really attached to my horse in ghost of tsushima- what the story does really made me realize how awesome and wonderful the horse you choose is and makes you realize how attached you become and how attached the character is to the horse.
I did not personally enjoy RD2, I just don't think its for me, but your explanation and analysis through a horse girl aestwtic has definitely made me appreciate and admire the game a lot more! I’m playing RDR for the first time right and I was shook when I made John skin the horse. 🤣🤣 the giant skinned body after had me dead. He even takes the hooves lmao. I've never kept the big unruly bastard. I typically prefer a mare to a stallion. Your comment has inspired me to give him a chance.
I always choose him too, I named him Goliath after the giant from the Bible.
