  • What is the Feast of Weeks (Shavuot or Pentecost), and what is its significance? The Feast of Weeks is a spring harvest festival following Passover. It begins with the waving of a single sheaf of the FirstFruits on the day after the Sabbath. Then seven weeks are counted leading up to the culmination on the 50th day, the day after the 7th Sabbath.
    My prayer is that the Holy Spirit will be given to you this Shavuot (Pentecost).

      , Please study with all your heart, and with all your soul, and don't rely only on the interpretations of other humans (Deu 11:13, 13:3, Jos 22:5). Honor our Creator and beseech him to give you understanding above all things (Psa 111:10, 119::34, 73, 99, 104, 125, 130, 144, 169). This feast has a spiritual reality, as all of them do, that is not yet understood by the man in this video. Please seek to learn that spiritual reality. It will cause you to understand the process our Creator is taking us all through.
      Yehovah bless you, and keep you:
      Yehovah make his face to shine upon you, and be merciful to you:
      Yehovah lift up his countenance upon you, and give you peace.
      (Num 6:24-26)

    Yahuah as my witness, I celebrated Passover and Unleavened Bread together for the first time this year set on observing the Feasts of Yahuah. I had my doubts about the 'Law' being done away with for a while but was too afraid to truly search it out. Since Unleavened Bread Yahuah has shown me that the calling I felt towards the Torah was it being written in my heart and since starting to keep the Torah, Shabbat and count the weeks until Shavuot He has given me the greatest abundance of Shalom and happiness, He has blessed my family with unity on the matter and we are immersing one another into the name of Yahusha on Shavuot. Praise be to Yahuah and my King Yahusha for revealing so much to me in such little time! Shalom.

      Good morning, sir/ ma'am.
      I have started reading and understanding Bible.
      I am a Catholic and never understood about Sabbath day, Unleavened Bread and Passover festival.
      How to do that?
      When do we come to know which feast is it?
      Please can you guide me, help me to understand the truth and law of Moses.
      In Catholic there are masses every day. People eat the communion ( bread) every time they go to church .
      Please can you explain about this
      Thank you sir/ ma'am

      @@Jonid5184 hello my friend is it better if we email as there are a few things you must know about the Law (Torah) the feasts and the Sabbath but I’ll try to do my best.
      It’s all in the Bible; Lev 23:5-11 (Passover/ Unleavened Bread/ Firstfruits), Lev 5:15-16 (Shavuot or the feast of Weeks), Lev 5:24-25 (Trumpets), Lev 5:27-28 (Day of Atonement), 5:32-36 & 39-42 (Tabernacles), Please keep in mind that there is no longer a need for sacrifices or offerings as the Messiah (Yahusha/Jesus) is our perpetual offering. The Sabbath is on the Seventh day or Saturday from sundown Friday to sundown Saturday. No hard work is to be done, we are not to make others work for us and we are not to buy or sell either, it is a day of rest of “shalom” and dedicated to Yahuah our creator. As for the Torah the main things to remember are the Ten Commandments, dietary requirements (no swine, shellfish, fish without fin or scales.) It is all in there my friend and I’m happy to continue sharing what I know and hopefully learning a few things from you in future if you would like that you can reach me on (imitatingyah@gmail.com).
      I hope this has helped.
      Shalom, Aaron.

      @@Jonid5184 Yahuah draws close to those who draw close to Him. You are doing exactly that my friend! Personally my family and I treat Friday as a preparation day to get everything we need to sorted and do a household clean up so we can rest on the Sabbath but as for menial tasks of just average things like making the bed or washing a couple of dishes I don’t see the problem but this is more of a personal preference sort of thing. Remember Sabbath was made for us so we shouldn’t burden ourselves with what we can and cannot do where the word isn’t specific or directly related to the task. It should be a matter of conscience for those small things and above all a day of rest and spiritual reflection and study.
      May Yahuah continue to bless your efforts.

Young's Literal Translation renders Exodus 20:18 as " 18 And all the people are seeing the voices, and the flames, and the sound of the trumpet, and the mount smoking; and the people see, and move, and stand afar off," YLT This goes right along with what you were saying about the languages spoken in Acts chapter 2.

      Grace, and peace, to you, and your loved ones. The Ten Commandments were given to the Israelites, not the Church. We were given two commandments to keep. To love God, and our neighbors. When you love the way Jesus loves, you won't break any of the Ten. We are filled with the Love of God by the Holy Spirit, in our new spirits. Why would I want to go back to an Old Covenant that doesn't work to bring new life? They couldn't keep the Ten Commandment, and we can't keep the two. Not much has really changed. Loving people isn't as easy as it sounds. And loving our enemies? Do you see much of that going on? I thank God for His mercies, amen!!! Be blessed!!!!

    Appreciate the lesson; very well
    presented!. However, I believe it would be best to quote the Torah (& NT as you did for other reference points) for the 70 tribes/languages vs a Rabbi (no disrespect to him) Genesis chapter 10) lists 70 different families. Blessings!

    Penta comes from meaning 50. It was 50 days after the cross to Pentecost. It was 50 days from PASSOVER to the time when Moses went up.on the mountain to meet God.

    This would be very hard to do where I live. Our barley isn’t ready until mid June at the earliest. Our grain harvest happens during summer. During Pentecost our barley is only about knee high and still green. Our lambs and kids are the same though.

      @Fitandover40 4 роки тому

      @@mandlajiane2843 to answer that one MUST first know, who am I? Then the meaning of Jesus being a "lamb" makes sense. Ask the Lord, for anything you ask in My Name will be answer to you. Do not ask men, ask THE LORD. "And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him."

    I like it! Pentecost if counted correctly by Passover not being kept a day late on the night to be much observed.Will always fall on a Sunday.

    • @thankfully1202
      @thankfully1202 7 років тому +1

      Not so. Passover is the 14 of abib and 1st day of Unleavened bread is 15th and the morrow after the U/B Sabbath is the 16th- wave sheaf. The yr Messiah was crucified it happened to fall on a sunday but that controversy was before the Sabbath/sunday controversy catholic church made it always on sunday. The 16th wave sheaf or 3rd day is when Messiah rose from the dead and he walked with the disciples 40 days then ascended and told them to wait for the blessing promised on their being faithful to keep his appointed time Shavuot.

      Many err in reckoning the Day of Pentecost because they fail to follow God’s instructions in Leviticus 23:14-15. Much of this confusion stems from translation problems-semantics and specific definition of words. God’s instructions, given in Hebrew, were specific and clear.
      When trying to decipher relatively simple instructions from God’s Word, people jump the track in every conceivable direction. But this should not be surprising.
      Consider explicit commands such as “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy…the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD your God: in it you shall not do any work…” (Ex. 20:8, 10). The vast majority (more than 99%) of professing Christians get this wrong. So it should not be surprising to find that various sects of Judaism disagree on reckoning Pentecost-yet many correctly determined Pentecost by following Scripture.
      Billions of Christians are waiting for the Return of Jesus Christ. Yet virtually no one understands how this will occur. The Bible reveals the shocking truth about Christ’s Coming, and the manner…
      By counting fifty days from the day "after" the weekly Sabbath that falls "during" the Days of Unleavened Bread, you can pinpoint Pentecost. On this day, the wave sheaf offering was presented. This ceremony involved cutting and waving the first sheaf of barley of the initial harvest. The fifty-day count began and ended on the first day of the week. What is the first day of the week? Look at any calendar.
      Theoretically, the day of the wave sheaf offering-the day after the weekly Sabbath-could be any one of the days of Unleavened Bread. The sacred calendar does not designate a specific day in the month of Sivan on which Pentecost should always fall. That is why a count is necessary.
      When the first day of Unleavened Bread falls on Sunday, then the seventh day of this feast falls on the weekly Sabbath, the last day of the week. When do you think the wave sheaf offering would have occurred? Remember, we are to place it on the day after the weekly Sabbath. The first day of the week for the wave sheaf offering was to fall during the days of Unleavened Bread.In this unusual situation, the first day was also the day of the wave sheaf offering. To follow the last day would place Pentecost one week late, on Sivan 12. Pentecost fell during the month of Sivan on the Sunday that fell on or between Sivan 5 and Sivan 11. These time constraints can be calculated by simply adding 50 days to Nisan 15 and adding 50 days to Nisan 21. (Keep in mind that Nisan always has 30 days and Iyar, the second month, always has 29 days-the count must be inclusive of the day of origin.) Hope this helps.

    Whats your take on the Jewish lunisolar calendar for observance of the sabbaths,feasts, etc? Shouldn't that be in use for anyone that worships Yahuwah, instead of the papal induced Gregorian calendar system in place today?

    • @unlearnthelies
      @unlearnthelies  6 років тому

      The Biblical Hebrew calendar is based on the moon phases, but the Sabbath is based on a continuous 7 day cycle.
