- Free inside each special pack, another helping of nostalgia-inducing adverts from the 1980s and 1990s. Retro 80s & 90s food, snack, cereal and crisps commercials - prizes included! (Potato chips to our friends across the pond). These vintage British TV commercials aired in the UK but we would love to know if anyone remembers any of these being available in their country too.
How do you choose your cereal? The free toys of course! Oh wait, we haven't seen them since the start of the noughties. Now every trip to the supermarket results in despair. Miss these days so much! We didn't know how privileged with innocence we were as kids in these times 80s 90s were brilliant
Wow the casper glow stickers are still in 2022 on my bedroom door at my parents house they won't remove them and ya ....they still glowing 30+years later 🤣🤣💌💯👍

I remember, I think it was Weetabix. Were giving away free G1 Transformers; either a Stuntacon or Airialbot. Or a Barbie doll if you collected the tokens. The commercial for it had three boys each say they got a Transformer, while a fourth boy revealed he sent away for a Barbie doll, and then got rushed by a mob of eagerly excited girls.
The good old days.

😂😂always member mother dearest ♥️ would do the weekly shopping on a Wednesday every week we new when we got home we would have a few cereals,me and my two brothers were getting into fights arguing thro it so mother had a list down who was to get the gift on that day lol madness X never have a had this with my kids ♥️

@@ThatWasRad I love all the British cereal TV advertisements that have free toys. That, and all the French TV advertisements that have free toys. One of my favorite British cereal free toys TV commercials is the Monster in My Pocket Weetos TV advertisement from 1992.
They probably stopped it because the fun police decided that encouraged kids to eat unhealthy food.

Cereal prizes does still sometimes happen, they're just rare (in the US anyway, not sure about other countries).

I never really understood why things in cereal stopped. I know why in America but the world outside America is a big ol place.
I think it's a combination od wanting to stop kids eating too much sugary cereal and snacks (obesity etc) and to reduce the amiount of plastic tat there is around- for environmental and parental-annoyance reasons

Cereal are very very bad especially Kellogg’s .., they needed somehow hook up kids on it. Now they are so no need free toys 😒
