This destiny we share, could hardly be called fair. Once friends, now foes; Different sides we chose. Our swords will meet, to this victory we compete.
The day that we have lost our homeland will be a memory marked in our hearts and will never be forgotten. When the wind flows smoothly across the grass, that tells us that the day that we retake what was rightfully ours is soon to come. Let the gods feast their eyes upon us, as we prepare for war, as we prepare our finest soldiers for combat, and it is our destiny to fight the enemy and tell them that This is our land! and we will never surrender! Let the drums of war be played, because we are on our way to Victory!
So i felt the blood, dripping from my skin and scars aching ever so painfully once more. I raised my head to see my family and friends fall one by one. I thought to myself:"This won't end, they will continue until there is nothing left." Our resistance was futile and nothing could be done with simple weapons and shields. I could feel the rage inside me grow rapidly - it became unbearable. I had to act and from within my darkest corner of soul i unleashed, what nothing had been unleashed before. They saw me rise above the ground as i unleashed a shattering roar:I have One Destiny and that is YOU!
One destiny is not enough for this battle but on the day destiny has chosen its victor to day in this battle one will walk away the other shall taste her or his on blood and perish an eternal death unheard of so bring it destiny show me who shall fall tonight
Fate is what we planted today, Destiny is what we fought for, None being can stop the determination of shaping your own destiny, after all, the only destiny for humanity is to, survive and rise among the others.
A grand fight. The epitome of a battle that had lasted hours. Both the fighters knew what the clock bell meant. Their time was now. Out they came, bursting onto the battlefield like bullets of a gun. Deadly, uncaring of what was in their way. Moving with a ferocity and speed unmatched, death resounded around them. Then, in under a second, came the clangs of steel. Each fighter in their own class, in their own respect... Every man stood in awe, friend and foe alike, to witness the Battle of Legends. What many called the Battle of Destiny. It continued for hours. So long that both sides thought their own would lose. Then, it happened. In a final, deciding clash, both fighters locked weapons, and one spoke. 'Did you know that Destiny is nothing?! Destiny decides nothing, destiny does nothing, and it IS NOTHING!' The woman shouted, as she raised her right hand to plunge her armblade into her opponents abdomen. Then came the rebuttal. "That is where you are wrong." A stern, powerful, overbearing voice was the other's, as they loosed their grip on their trapped sword, and spun on their forwarded right. "Destiny is everything." Then came the harsh right strike, barely blocked by the other fighter, of whom was launched back. Then came the other, reclaiming their sword from the ground as they ran, beginning a harsh, powerful, and swift comeback. A powerful underhanded strike from above. "Destiny decides Fate.." Releasing the handles, the grips on the blades switched. Their opponent had been underestimated. Thought less of. And now they were paying, and they understood this. A quick strike from the left, gouging skin and bone alike. "Destiny does everything." Then came the following strike, a harsh cut from above, slicing clean through tendon, bone, muscle, and skin. A horrid scream filled the air as man, woman, and horse alike, watched the tide of the battle change in a manner of seconds. They understood what was going on. They were witnessing sheer skill. A skill so unmatched that even their own could not best it. A skill slowly honed, sharpened, and focused, until there was no edge to best it. "Destiny. Is. Everything." Yet another switch of grips prefaced the next attack, as the other drew their second blade from the right to the left, taking the muscles of their opponent's thigh, and slicing clean through them. "You see... Destiny is the deciding factor of the many." Came the voice again, as the opponent looked on in a mix of rage and terror. This what was being faced with skill was like. "Fate is decided by Destiny, and Destiny is decided by birth." Then, the other began to add blades. One by one, attack by attack, the count grew larger. "A birth of a child creates a new destiny." Two strikes followed these words, scoring an X into the opponent's chest. "Each new destiny creates a new fate." Each attack showed yet another level of skill, the count of blade eventually reaching the number six. Now, they were faced with a mere flurry of blades, the flash of skillfully held steel repeating over and over, pain lacing throughout their body, new wounds burning as they were opened in less that a second of each other. "And your Destiny was to Lose." Yet another attack followed these, a powerful slash to remove their calves. "From the day you were born, you were to lose." Another flash of steel filled the air, and the opponent felt the weightlessness as their right arm dropped. They were completely overwhelmed. "And your fate..." In that moment of time, everything slowed. Every weapon in the air stopped, and heads turned to the two on the field. All six, shiny bright blades, dyed in blood, were airborne. Then, red hues glared up at the opponent, drilling a lesson deep into the soul of the being. Fear. "Was to die." Then, the opponent resigned themselves to the pain that followed, counting each impact of a weapon. 'One... Two... Three... F-four...' Coughing a small amount of blood, they wondered where the remaining two were. One blade protruded from each joint of the being. The other held the remaining two blades, and the opponent knew what was next. A single, feeble word, was the only thing to leave their mouth. '...Oh...' Then, the sound of steel sliding against itself filled the air, a soft thud following after, with a rolling sound. The fight was over. Destiny had won. Fate had declared itself triumphant once more. Every man on the field laid down their blades as the body of their Strongest fell, eviscerated. An example of strength. An example of their enemies power. By the moment that their Strongest's body laid on the ground, slowly sliding down the length of the blades, the battle had been won. In a single instant, every soldier surrendered to the mysterious force of Destiny. To Fate. To what they were bound by, as the White Saint turned. And to this day, every man remember that lesson, and the line that was uttered after. "...To all those who believe Destiny is not a thing... To all those who believe that Fate is nothing... To all those who say Power creates all..." Raising the sword in her right hand high, she shouted. "I, Sylvus Valund, the White Saint, CHALLENGE YOU! COME, ONE AND ALL, FOR I WILL STRIKE YOU DOWN WHERE YOU STAND!" Then, the blade in her right was brought down to point at them. These words echoed the silent fields, and the memories of those who witnessed it. Never would those words be forgotten; Never would those words go unsaid. Every man, woman, and child, knew of Sylvus, the White Saint... A walking Legend, never seen again. But, Sylvus Valund was still out there. Sylvus was watching, and waiting. Biding her time to a point where she was called upon once more. And on that day... The White Saint would stand the victor once more.
one Destiny one kingdom and one republic as this battle raises on between the two kingdoms a lost of blood has been shed my sisters but it is our Destiny to win this war and crush our enemies like the bugs they are a lot of you will die but with honer as we have the weapons and power to win this war so make history and our One and final Destiny will be achieved go forth my sisters and clam our destiny
The white haired sorceress splays her arms and two katanas appear by her side. She sneers. "A legend, huh? Well your time has come. Die in the hands of the most powerful witch that has ever lived." The air around her shimmers and she disappears, only to appear right in front of the warrior's face. The first katana swings down onto the black haired warrior but the girl blocks the blow with her own blade. She turns and roundhouse kicks the sorceress but she deflected the kick with her arm. Hours past, as the clock ticks in time with the clangs of their weapons clashing together and their different war cries. "Give up. You're only human, a human fighting a futile battle against a sorceress." "No," the fighter says. "It is my destiny to fight you and win." "Oh? Is that it? You're doing what your one destiny says you should do?" The black haired woman replies softly and strikes the katana with her blade. "Yes." "And would things change if I told you I control fate?" the sorceress whispers. The warrior shook her head and dodged the witch's katana. "No matter how bad it is, no matter how much pain I go through, it is MY destiny. And nothing can change it."
I think that's not it.. Cos the way I see it, The white haired girl (Let's call her W) is blocking the black haired girl's (Let's call her B) attack. Also, the reason I am sure that it is B who attacks first is because of the sneer on her face. And W's face is stern because she is on the defensive here.
Screw all this destiny crap. If you have a goal, go for it. Why should your life be dictated by something you can't control? We each have our own control over our lives. Seek out the best that you can be, and surpass even that. "Glory lies beyond the horizon. Challenge it because it is unreachable. Speak of conquest and demonstrate it!" - Rider
Destiny? Don't make me laugh. There is no destiny. There is no fate. There is no divine will that controls and shapes your life. You choose your purpose. You choose your future. You choose how you live your life. What determines a person's life is their choice in life, and their will to carry on with their choice. The power to choose: It's a wonderful thing that many of us have.
There is a destiny. Not the destiny that everyone talk about, where we are forced to follow our path. The destiny I talk about is not so strong. Some are born with many talents. They can do what a normal person (even if he works hard) couldn't achieve. They are gifted and we can already tell that they will do something great. I have that kind of talent. Everyone have one, a specific one. There is a bit of destiny in our life, we can do whatever we want but our natural talent show us the path.
Sam HB Natural talent? That is not destiny. That is just an advantage that a person has in life, not a light that shines on the path one should take. One can either choose to use that advantage for their benefit, or they can choose not to and follow a different path, willed either by their desire or their environment. Natural talent, as people like to call it, is nothing but a facet to one's life where each one of their choice not pertaining to their jobs can change their social, economical, and political standpoint for their life. The power to CHOOSE, is human life's greatest weapon as well as something that determines how we live our life, untouched from all divine intervention, fate, or destiny.
I find it interesting reading all these opinions on destiny so I shall give my own opinion. There is a destiny, but not the destiny as many think of it like in Greek tragedies. The destiny we are born with is the one that will make us, and those around us, most fulfilled. We catch hints of it in our talents, our desires, and our dreams, but we must at times discover it. And if we do discover it, it is not unavoidable. Instead we can choose to reject it and forge a perilous path of unknowns bound in the end to always be lacking that fulfillment destiny brings. Who/what determines destiny? I believe in a sovereign God that determines it, yet gives us the freedom to do what we want because He wants us to embrace it of our own free will. It is the rejection of destiny then, that has brought man all the suffering and pain that he now, ironically, blames destiny for.
I'm sure Shilin would be ecstatic if they did. You can support the artist by following their comic if you want. The comic is called Carciphona. Here's their site: shilinhuang.com/tagged/carciphona
Probably Singed actually, she would not like an anime version of Carciphona created. Though I would absolutely LOVE it, if I remember correctly she just doesn't want her creation to go in that sort of direction :c
Pretty sure they've never said that. I know they've said they want to make sure they have full control over the direction of their story if they WERE to do something like that, and that they didn't think they were anywhere near ready for it, but never that they didn't want to.
Ah, I thought that was something I'd seen her say in the general chat at sometime, but I may be wrong... At any rate, I'm not expecting an anime adaption anytime soon :P

Destiny is ever fluid, never carved in stone.
With ever choice you make, it changes.
Your destiny is not chosen by others, but made by you.
