Simply magnificent!! I hope she lives a long and healthy life. I pray our world will do more to protect the Ocean's and the creatures that inhabit them. Keep up the GREAT work!! 👍👍
Having been born and raised and still living on the beautiful South Shore of Nova Scotia, it amazes me that these incredible creatures roam our waters. Thank you for sharing this with us and for the work you do ❤️🦈
Nukumi's tracking equipment hasn't registered her whereabouts since April of 2021, she was halfway across the Atlantic ocean when she disappeared (tracking equipment last ping) I hope she is still alive, she is a magnificent shark.
Nukumi is definitely an awesome creative of the sea and if she could tell her stories of what she has seen, we’d probably be amazed. Thanks Chris, Brett and the whole crew at Ocearch for all you guys do!
She made me tear up after seeing seaspiracy and knowing how many of her incredible species are needlessly killed through bycatching and how important she is to the eco system of the sea and the planet. I hope she lives for many years as she deserves to .
This Organization is doing beautiful work! I will definatly be following this Organization and sharing on social media!! We need this for our planet to survive!💜✌
Great job Ocearch team! I know this has to be an awesome capstone to a very productive 2020 season and I congratulate all of you on such a vitally imporatnt undertaking. Keep up the good work.
Just a small glimpse into the life of such a beautiful creature, I wish everybody could appreciate and understand that. What a great job you all have and thanks for that story
What a beauty. She was one caught off Nova Scotia right, I'm on PEI east end and other day found a dead seal on beach with huge bite on it, had to be big white by looks of it. So amazing to see this footage and excited to know they up this way!!!!

What a huge shark to study, great work all of you! I'm proud to give to ocearch research group! Look forward to catching up to the crew again in Brunswick!
Every video clip like this I see lessens my fear of sharks every time. I've always had a great respect and admiration for these beautiful predators, but...not really wanting to be in the water. Any water, lol! Seeing these folks fearlessly jumping IN the water with her, just boggles my mind. You all are amazing, thank you for what you do.
Hi there! Honest question: how do you confirm guys that the stress the sharks are going through during their "capture" isn't affecting them negatively? Have you had any shark dying afterwards?
You think the stress of being captured in a non violent way would effect and apex predator like this? Look at the scars.. she's been in way more stressful situations haha.
Cmiiw they can check those with blood samples and other body fluid samples... And i think they lost 2 or 3 sharks at the beginning of the research Because they didn't really know how much time needed and how to make it less stressful back then They learn it a bad way but they learned I hope they can be better
Save the Sharks!!Simply a majestic animal, which I deeply admire.Sharks are the guardians of biodiversity in the oceans and the cleaners of those oceans. The role of sharks is very important!
God what i wouldn't do to be on ocearch to see a beautiful great white up close. Im in aww of the whole crew and what you. Im three years on my 50th birthday I hope to go to Martha's Vinyard a see first hand a great white shark. Its been 20 years of your work and shark week to make me love all sharks.
Its a nice name, but she doesn't need it. Everyone where she lives knows who she is. Total respect for Ocearch. Incredible dedication and passion, and clearly skilled operation - all dedicated to better understanding these magnificent animals. High time that humans turned fear into respect through study.
Maybe? However he can blather all he likes as long as he and his team keep up the good work. What do you add? Or just another critic who offers nothing but negativity.
Holy mackerel the pectoral fins on Nana are huge! What an amazing job. You all are so blessed to be able to experience that. What a beautiful animal. Has been my favorite since I was a kid. Do you all use sedatives at all? I would imagine you would have to. How much of an effect does the head cover have on it's behavior out of the water? I hope I get to see one in real life before I die. Thank you all for taking care of the mother Earth's White Sharks. ❤❤
Wow thats a gigantic beautiful scary fish there is something majestic about seeing such a huge prehistoric beast thank you for showing us this without destroying this animal. Amazing work people faith in humanity restored...
Is she bigger than “Deep Blue”? Sharks are an important part of our ecosystem and too see 1 as old as “Nukumi” is wonderful and exciting ❤️❤️❤️ Lol I looked “Deep Blue’s” last recorded weight up and “ Nukumi” weighs more! Thank you for all the efforts that all of you do to keep track of these precious animals😁😁
Deep Blue was never weighed. It’s just a tough estimate. But she’s over 20ft long. Regardless both of these girls are beautiful fish and need to be protected at all cost.

Nukumi left the planet
Where has she gone? I was tracking her and she stopped pinging?
Someone online here just asked what are the friendliest sharks. Dude. The ones who aren't sharks.
Wow. Wow. Wow!! 😍😍😍

Did I ever tell ya about the one that got away ?
Well it’s like this.......
