I am glad to see that Benchmade FINALLY got coverage during Blade Show 2023.. most reviewers did not do videos at the booth...
Everyone’s mad at their pricing.
And their scandals
That's because they're hacks! $500 dollars...for that?!😂😂
If Benchmade (or Spyderco) wants me to pay more than $50 for their extremely overpriced (and overhyped) knives they should have the decency not to leave the ugly holes for the pocket clip on the left side exposed. It looks unfinished. For the price they could make knives for right handed people and lefties separately or just put a tastefully done insert in the left scale. You look at that table and all you see is holes. I consider knives like those factory seconds.
There is straight up no reason for the bug out to be more than like a 100 bucks
Love the blades. I’m really big fan of Benchmade. I just wish they would come back to Earth with their pricing.
So vote all of the old people both democrats and republicans out of their nests.. not offices but nests so the rampant inflation will be an actual concern.. and maybe just maybe inflation and price gouging will at least level off.. Or we can keep turning a blind eye to things that actually matter.
@@Lookthere167 Or....... Benchmade can stop trying to bend its customer base over the counter. You can buy a knife with the same materials from TwoSun for about $130.
500 bucks plus for that? Sorry. No.
I'm with you,I paid less than that for my large crk 31 in magnacut.
I really like the Immunity's, just cant stomach the price.
Benchmade says the price hikes is because of the war in Ukraine
@@stanwilson7040 Yeah they also claim to be all American made when they're really not
@@hafertr1235 Benchmade are a bunch of woke greedy liars and it'll be grade to add them to the boycott list
Benchmade could also win "Overpriced Knives Overall of the Year" as well. I know they did some crazy stuff to make this knife, but you are approaching mid-tech and even full custom level for what you are paying for the Narrows. I hope for the prices they're charging that they've stepped up their quality control.
Lmfao Will but it’s true
First of all let me say I dig smkw. With that being said Benchmade has absolutely went off the deep end with the prices. I'm gonna skip on a pink knife for twice the price. Oh well I'll spend my money on other fantastic companies
Holy fuk, $520 for that thing? The thinness is very intriguing though.
You are not correct. It is $522 maybe + tax. ;-)
@@kcretni whoops. No sales tax for me, plus some of the dealers are offering a 10% off promo code. Not bad, but it doesn’t beat those cats with the Base Camp 60% off family and friends discount.
They need a knife called the Tappedout as in that’s what I am concerning Benchmade at these over inflated prices.
Now make the price match a little better, and it would be perfect 😊
Benchmade says "Blame Putin's war on Ukraine"
Love my benchmade knives 😊
Benchmade no,spyderco, microtech yessss
Hello mon ami 🫡 cela fait longtemps que je n'avais pas vu benchmade sa fait plaisir de les revoir dans se show 2023 des couteaux très jolies et élégant
Congratulations, but I don't want a knife more narrow than the bugout and I def won't be paying $500 for it, but congratulations. Damnit if I won't end up getting a Mini Super Freek though...
Thanks for watching!
I love benchmades….just can’t afford them 😅
Well TC thanks for the coverage! Those who don’t like their pricing such as myself won’t buy it and those who do can buy all they want since at the moment it’s still a free country. I personally have nothing against benchmade or anyone who buys them I just prefer to spend that much on different materials and other knife companies I prefer more. Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching Chris
I couldn't have said it better!
man they are coming out with some really cool stuff but I see a lot of folks who aint giving Benchmade the time of day with these prices. they shmokin that work
SMKW, you know I love you and TC. Im always positive. But regarding the Narrows. 522.00. Nope! I can get a small Sebenza or a Hinderer for the same price point new. I am enjoying the content. Thx SMKW.
I'll be in Tennessee at the end of July. I'll stop by your store as always and like always leave with a new knife! Hope you have these back in stock so i can check one out!
Thanks for watching and safe travels
Good stuff❤❤ thx TC
Thanks for watching Joe!
I have trouble opening most microtech knives do to some neck problems I lost alot of finger and hand strength. So that small OTF would probably be a great option for me.
I will tell you If this appeals to you, Check out the Cold Steel Code 4 !! Damn Near Just as thin! Neither are for me but the Code 4 is $110
Both are Great options! Thanks for watching!
But made in Taiwan, unfortunately.
@@rbwirth12 Nothing wrong with that. Heck, spyderco’s best factory is in Taiwan.
@@RIFFSandBLADES True. I shouldn't have added "unfortunately." The appeal (for some, like me) and high mark-up of the Benchmade is that it's made in the US. 😊
@@rbwirth12 Yes You are 100% right.. I left that out, not on Purpose, but that absolutely affects the price..
at least it doesn't have the useless omega springs only thing is that you have to pay 500 for it. i'd rather get a chris reeve or hinderer for that price.
Thats what i was thinking.
Omega spring breakage is super rare. You are just talking out of your ass because you heard some UA-cam knife reviews say if.
Just bought the Freek yesterday!
Wow that od green CLA 🤤 & the mini freek should have a satin blade
I played with the Narrows a bit at the show... Its impressive, but to me it just isn't worth $580...
I did pick up the new Shootout while I was there, really enjoying it do far...
The Shootout is sweet!
Some awesome knives coming from Benchmade.
Absolutely!
Some extremely over-priced knives with poor quality control is what's really coning from Benchmade.
love benchmade but wish they'd get away from s30v on most knives, spyderco also but at least they have started with the pm2/3 on s45vn
I love you guys, know studio hamster kit frequency can dive a corn wall made of tiger ears, you have to catch them yourself dorthy, not kansas wind storm, you and only Don knotts.
Make the Shootout in Alloy Handle
thanks for watching
My three favorite American knife makers are Buck, Benchmade, and Vancil Messer Werks for the high end specialty steel knives.
Thanks for watching!
Can't wait to get my hands on the Mini Super Freek (Super Mini Freek?)🤗
Super Freaky !
I think if they made this knife $300, it would fly off the shelves, and they would still have a pretty considerable profit margin. They're kind of screwing themselves by making this so expensive. So many other manufacturers offer knives with the same type of materials for way less.
Those pastel colors also tend to look less aggressive to some folks who may get nervous around knives.
I bought the Narrows from your booth! I wasn't expecting to like it so much. It's expensive, but seemed especially premium even for a Benchmade.
So thin but sturdy!
Very nice great knives and great show!!!
Thanks for watching Mike!
Apparently whoever gives out the awards hasn’t seen the backlash that Benchmade is receiving right now on social media, especially over this knife alone. There’s so many other great brands out there that could have won this award. In my own personal collecting, I’m beyond benchmades now anyways, and haven’t been impressed since the Bugout, and the 940 auto. I think benchmade is missing the mark. Even using Covid to sell knives with the Covid pivot is pretty cringe on the immunity series. But again this is personal opinion, and I’m sure some people would be happy to own this.
Thanks for watching Ghost
The fix is in!! 😂.
I have no idea who would want to pay for this but Congratulations!
It was a huge hit at Blade Show!
I bought a pepsi and I opened it, then I drank it.
Benchmade keeps bringing the fire!!
🔥
Jeah…not
That’s a great looking knife! Right up my alley… except for the price. Ouch.
Thanks for watching!
$522!
$500+ for a narrows?!!...nope. Just bought a sebenza in magnacut instead!....benchmade pricing is ridiculous
What are these release dates? Most of these knifes are available now
Some are available now and others will continue to drop over the summer
The most expensive knife is rarely the best value. You want great value buy a Condor, Kershaw or CRKT. Is this model worth $522? Objectively speaking, the cost of printing endless money by the federal government is now being realized by across the board inflation, and the consumer always pays the bill. My friend has that higher end Bugout in M390 with aluminum scales and it is spectacular. Every time I flick it I’m impressed with the quality fit, finish and movement. Is the Narrows model worth $200 more than that Bugout with similar specs? I suppose that’s up to each one of us. I ordered one because I think it’s a wonderful piece of craftsmanship and I’ve been looking for a titanium knife but I refuse to buy any knife from China. Did I over pay? Yes, but it won’t be the first or last time I over pay for something that captures my attention. This model has an elegant simplicity about it and that’s what I find attractive. Life isn’t an either-or. If a Hinderer is ever available I’ll get one of them as well. That being said, Benchmade knives are getting expensive.
Thanks for watching
god, after reading comments it's like me speaking. i've always always wanted a benchmade ever since i got into knives 15 years ago and i still cant afford or justify spending over 300 bucks let alone more :/ The auto immunity is so freaking cool. The new smaller demko ad 20.5 looks sweet and about half the price :/
So many better options. Take it from someone who has owned several. You can get more/higher qulaity for less money elsewhere. Pro-tech, Spyderco, Zero Tolerance, just to name a few, all make superior american knives at better prices.
Have to take out another mortgage on the house to afford one. I'll stick with budget knives.
thats maybe a $300 knife. $200 butterfly tax is insane
I like Benchmade knives and have a few but there prises are just to high anymore.
I can NOT buy it! 560?
It’s called Narrows, Because it Narrows your wallet 😂
Great knives but they are pricing themselves out of competition. $200+ for a 940 is ridiculous.
Benchmades answer to the hard working average American about to be in a recession "Fuc@ you pay me!! I hope they don't sell a one!! 33% narrow than the bugout and 33% more money 🤔 how's that work? As a American made knife enthusiasts it makes me sick. I don't own one Benchmade because of this. And where is the ceo dude? U see Tony, and Glesser from microtech and spyderco.. he doesn't wanna have to answer "so what's going to be the msrp on this one" What a joke
Bar must’ve been pretty low .
It’s becoming and insult with these prices. I don’t care what their warranty is
No way man. This knife has so much backlash from the price. Nobody is buying it.
We sold out though 🤷♂️
My knife dealer is on his third batch l order of them and just sold those out too.
@@danielking6243 Let me rephrase. Yes people are buying them. People buy up anything benchmade makes. Still doesn’t change the fact that they have ALOT of backlash because of the price. This knife will be discontinued in 3 years tops and the secondary market will be flooded with them.
@@RIFFSandBLADES Just like the Anthem? Lol.
All Benchmade knives have gold liners and hardware, I'm sure of it.
Pro Tech knives are probably nicer and 150-200 bucks less than that
This award was corporate brown nosing. At $300 this knife would still be too expensive.
Qsp penguin, cold steel kydashi, cold steel tough lite, crkt Pilar
(Sure the steel isn't comparable, but I can get like 4 or 5 of them for that price)
Or hell get all the ones I mentioned and a case of beer 🍺
Only reason I clicked was to see how rediculous their prices are.
Unpopular opinion here…the bugout sucks. Feels cheap and over priced. Griptilain is a better knife for the money. Shootouts feel cheap for what they’re asking. I’m not a benchmade hater by any means. I have a bunch. Still carry my original 940 all the time. I bought the first run of the cla…not bad for the price. Not worth it for what they’re asking now. Well most just like most all of their knives seem overpriced…even for American made products. Sorry…not sorry.
Own bunch of them and agree with you.
Too Expensive for me!
thanks for watching
Wish the immunity was bigger
I don’t know how they won since no one has been liking the price lol
Benchmade! Enough with the insane pricing! So many companies are making almost more knife with better materials for WAY less prices!
Hmmm..
yessss
Any immunity alternatives anyone could recommend in not giving benchmade that kinda money lol
Yea i want one but that price tag is ridiculous
Cjrb
@J.Hardesty what do they have with a decent steel that looks like this with an axis lock, pb washers, and a lifetime warranty???
@@57HEMIviken are you a benchmade fan boy hemi haha
@@gavinparker7950 no only own 2 only carry 1 but they're all great things
Running on bearings sigh... Knives are for people who sit behind a computer/camera and open packages. Fidget Factor is thenthing now and it's all about how the knife opens and closes.
It's not a bad design nor is it poor execution. I just hope Benchmade doesn't use this award as a justification for that price tag. Because at that price range you're getting into custom knife territory, and it's not good enough to be compared to a custom level knife. Make it make sense Benchmade.
Isn’t a knife that thin gonna be uncomfortable as hell? I’d rather they try making their knives more competitively priced than thinner….
5 months later, still knife of the year? The detend is so weak the knife just falls out and a from the shelves pocketclip on 522 dollar knife?Benchmade has made some good knives but this one needs to go back to the drawing bord...
Why would they give that thing Knife of the Year? Did they reserve the extra $200 they're charging for them to pay off the judges? The only people I see buying them are knife reviewers, and I've yet to hear a single one of them say it's worth the price. Maybe Benchmade saw how many suckers were buying up James Brand and decided they wanted to change their target customer.
Literally no reason for these prices. China could make the same knife with the exact same materials for a fraction of the cost. The knife industry is becoming worst than the gun industry
I'm sorry, but for $500 I could buy two good Spydercos or a a Chris Reeves or Microtech of greater quality. This might be a really good knife, for $300. If you are going to give out awards without bothering with considering prices or value then why hold yourself back? There are plenty of knives better than this in the same price range.
I guess they don't factor in whether or not people can actually afford to buy the knife for "knife of the year." unreal.
If Benchmade (or Spyderco) wants me to pay more than $50 for their extremely overpriced (and overhyped) knives they should have the decency not to leave the ugly holes for the pocket clip on the left side exposed. Scam of the year, and I edc a bugout that was hard to pay for.
The Native Chief is wayyyy better.
And
The Immunity needs to be wayyy bigger.
Lets change colors and call it new.
Lmao they plain silly.
Want a great USA made knife that doesnt rape your wallet? Hogue.
Knife of the year?! This must be a joke. Many, many better options for less money. Benchmade are total hacks at this point! Hard pass.
500!?! Ehh maybe if they did it in D2......😂😂
American Made Knife of the Year? Oh man, the Benchmade haters are crying hot tears of rage right now.
Wrong emotion, its laughter.

I’m not a “benchmade hater”. I love my 20cv griptilian and my 51 morpho. What I do hate is the pricing and lack of QC on 2023 benchmade. There has always been a butterfly tax that was acceptable but it is getting ridiculous.
@@nolobede fr, american knife of the year lmao
Or… and hear me out, I could buy a Chris Reeve instead… the price is ridiculous on this benchmade.
benchmade gives American knife makers a bad look and they wonder why most people buy Chinese knives . they are way out of touch with there prices hope everyone that bought one enjoys there lose pivots and noncenterd blades and poor heat treats .
Lets not forget they donate to Dems regularly.
BS!
Lmao what overpriced nonsense.
Greedy!
Narrows?
Honestly , it's an ugly overpriced gimmick...no thanks.
That or a Chris Reeve Sebenza 31?
Fuhgettaboutit.😐
Wowwwww benchmade knifes have gotten so boring its not even funny. Id buy 10 other brands before this one. American brands at that
LMAO... $520 for the Narrows.
Nope, just nope.
WHY?!? 🙄
Maybe if they weren’t busy paying off democrats the prices wouldn’t be astronomical…. Or maybe it’s boycotting 🫢😂
At least they don't support insurection... and you?
