If you fog the eye before duochrome then it means the patient will always prefer the red. This is because in both myopes and hyperopes, the image will be moved forward which will make the red closer to the retina. This way, your patient will never report green clearer than the red to start with. Now, does this not mean there's no need to fog the patient before starting the duochrome?

Hi, friend test is very similar to Duo Chrome test. Once you understand it, understanding friend test becomes very easy.
