I recommend listening to the dubbed version of this speech. Generally I think almost every English dub (ever) sucks ass, but Erwins VA is different. And the speech just hits a little harder in English imo
Erwin's speech, in my opinion is the greatest fictional speech ever given (Aragon's Men of the West speech is also good). Just like you, a lot of guys said that that speech would have made them willing, to lay down their lives.
