Yes a lot of people spend out the wax foundation process because it’s very time consuming. However I use plastic foundation and simply paint them with wax, I know it’s a little bit more expensive but on long term it pays off
Thank you sooo much for showing us how you do that!!! It is so fascinating!!! I have bought the finished product before to make candles. It is not cheap. I love that you show us all the processes. It seems like a lot more work than I thought. 😁😁👍
Yes, there is more to it then you would think at first. The way the wax is now is great for candles and making foundation. For creams and balms it needs to be even cleaner. Thank you very much for watching Valarie, have a nice day 😊
Yes, here too especially wax for balm or creams. I too once made my own bowstring, arrows and i made some wooden bows too with help from the Bowyer's Bible, but that was way before i started beekeeping unfortunately. Had a lot of fun doing that and shooting of course 😊
A specialised company makes beeswax foundation for me from our own wax. But i do sell some too and sometimes make some candles of it also. But most is for reuse in my own apiaries 😊

Yeah, if it works it works. There are many different ways to keep bees 😁

Thank you very very much 😊
Any plans to the melter box and steamer?
That's pretty cool, bees wax is expensive here. I have several big slabs of it for craft work and for making bow strings and arrow fletching.

Hi. Do you have a link for your water cooker and its attachments
Is there any reason this would not work by using a wood fired steam generation system?
I would guess it wouldn't matter. Steam is steam so i think it should work too
Do u sell beeswax and ship to UK?
Very interesting, do you reuse your wax or sell it for other purposes? 🙂

Do you not keep the drawn foundation for next season?
