Like this video. We practice Wing Chun in 3 ranges, long (kick, punch) Chi Sao (medium) and sticky body (clinch), Wing Chun also blends well with Greco wrestling.
It's funny how came to something similar during MT sparring, it was predominantly striking, though there was occasional clinch fighting. I closed the gap with a stance that's sth of a cross from my Tai Chi and Muay Thai practice (knee held in a guard to prevent opponent knees, two arms held in a close guard/bridge. From there I proceeded to outstrike my partner at an in-fighting range with a mix of chi sao and pak mei derived striking. There was a drawback where I'm made vulnerable by lowkicks, though spamming the approach worked amazing until I told my next partner about this "amazing guard" I found xD
So here’s my question: given how applicable this is to clinch/hand fighting, do you feel a better way to teach chi sau techniques would be in a clinch scenario rather than as punch defense, as is commonly taught (at least in the schools I’ve been to)
But what if Wing Chun is my main Martial Art instead of Muay Thai can Muay Thai moves can ve usted for Wing Chun? Or Muay Thai must be my main Martial Art
I find that pressing the opponents hand into their torso is really hard against an experienced person that understands gripping or using more of their torso. Still, hand trapping is probably the only useful 'technique' (more like feel and awareness) from years of traditional Kung Fu for me in MMA/Muay Thai.

Yes. We feel Wing Chun would really work well when taught and applied for Clinch and Wrestling scenarios!
Great channel
Chi Sau that actually works? People have already been doing it for years in Muay Thai, MMA, and Sanda.
Except, when it happens, people don't know it's actually Kung Fu Chi Sau hehe
i've only seen tony ferguson and maybe jon jones do something like it. and tony trains kung fu.
