Ebay always reminds me of the Audrey 2 from little shop of horrors. FEED ME!!! Thanks Mikey inspiring as always.
Lol that brought a memory back for me as I saw that production live at the Pantages Theater in Toronto Canada many Moons ago. To see that plant get bigger and bigger on stage was absolutely amazing! Lol I know right off topic here! Lol
This video had just what I needed to hear. Get busy listing more!! Thank you.
Me too!
People that give crap away for a sale ruin it for l of us. If i have a 1 of a kind item, i always raise the price more then the last that sold, most resellers wld just take the last price and do that, heck no not for rare items when im the only listing, if a buyer wants it they will pay.
That's how I try to roll. You will see what those two items sold for in another video soon.
So true. Thanks for sharing.
That's an amazing Teak piece!
My sales on ebay dropped over 75%. While I have been listing, I was binge listing: listing several items in one day, then list nothing for several days. I knew this was not going to work. So I adopted "Operation List Daily". So now I make sure I list every day. If I binge list, I'll save as drafts and put them up in subsequent days. And guess what, my sales are back up to the old "normal". Better yet, I have been both addressing my death pile of easy to list stuff and new incoming finds. Any time I sell one of those death items (sold one this morning) its a reminder, "GET STUFF LISTED".
Consistency is the key everyday something in. Thanks for watching
Nice vid, great sales. You say "Trust the process." That's become my mantra. It's amazing what comes your way when you consistently show up. Thanks for your hard work!
You really have to show up. Once you do that on a consistent basis things change.
Great beaches on the east coast!
Ha! No wonder I couldn't find any good stuff at Savers yesterday! You got all the good stuff!😄 Another great haul and good sales!! Now, back to listing!👍
Like a vacuum!
love your channel very much. its simple and right about the topics I want to hear as a reseller myself. thank you very much for your effort to create those videos and I wish you only the best :)
Thanks so much for watching and getting it!
Love the big finds. Very jealous right now.
listing like a mad man recently almost up to 600 items in my store! thanks for the continued motivation 🔥
NICE. It is the way to more sales.
Thanks Mike I needed this
You bet! Go get'em
I found a really unique item of WWII memorabilia at Goodwill, a USN Officer's bedroll (tarp/pup tent and down sleeping bag). Paid $7.50.
That sounds very nice. Love those kind of finds.
Needed the pep-talk, thanks!!
All the best to you!
Great content! Thank you
Thanks so much for watching.
Wow you found some neat and awesome things 😊 I just started watching you recently, I enjoy all of the information and the stuff you share. Have a great day thanks for sharing 👍 😊
Thanks so much watching.
Another good one Mike!! Feel horrible for those kids and the situation the parents have put them in, but they have to be accountable for what they've done - of course they get the presumption of innocence until proven guily. As for your three items, I like them all. I love the MCM desk organizer for my own use since I'm a child of the 60s, but I'd probably take the ashtray in a heartbeat to sell since I've got a stash of about 400+ vintage advertising ashtrays of my own to sell - the one you have is very unique and I suspect pretty rare. And you're right, you can't give up - we all have ebbs and flows but you have to have the stick-to-it-ive-ness to succeed.
Yeap, never quit. It is always just around the corner!
im new here this guy has a great attitude and mindset set, pay attention to this guy, can’t lose here
Thanks so much for watching.
Hi from North Idaho where the sky is cloud=free and sunny!
Coeur d'Alene is an amazing place. Stood at HAYDEN lake and was in total awe. The golf course are amazing too.
Good advice keep listing , it seems to stimulate looks and watchers and hopefully a sale. Every now and then I just go in and change , revise to get some action. Although I don't like dolls, Barbie is probably hot now good find.
Wait until you see what that Barbie sold for in a future video. Thanks for watching again.
Thanks ❤
Thanks for watching.
In the Buffalo Country was originally published in Harpers Magazine in 3 installments. It is the story of Leiutenant Brewerton's trip over the Sante Fe Trail in 1848-1849. It has the original engraving illustrations from Harpers. Probably was published again by Osborne in 1970. Selling for $40 on Abe, Biblio and ZVAB and $25 on Alibris, Abe. Currently none listed on ebay.
Thanks for the knowledge.
There are a dozen or so of the first book listed on Abebooks in the 10-30 range.
Great video Mike can't you do a draft bank of listing for when you're away. I actually got one of those desk organizers for free. A while ago, I was driving down my street and my neighbour had one sticking out of their recycling bin. I thought to myself what's that and I went over and it looked brand new. Been using, I hate waste. Cheers Graham
I can, but I just load some photos and if I'm not doing something will list while away. In general not much is listed while away.
@@goldenstatepicker U still doing better than most mate.
I don't buy a lot of record albums. I stumbled across some Sun Records. No Elvis, unfortunately, but one Johnny Cash and one Jerry Lee Lewis. Also, some KISS, Led Zeppelin, and several others (obviously these are not Sun Records) . I only paid 25 cents each, so not too bad. They aren't in pristine condition. It is very difficult to find them in that kind of condition. Oh, and I was testing the KISS Alive II and the belt fell off the little Crosley that I use to test. Turns out the belt is too stretched and I had to order another. Now I have to wait to test the rest. LOL
I just sold a Blacks Law a couple of weeks ago for $50. It was 6th edition.
3rd and 4th seem to do the best. Love finding them.
It snowed low near SJ 2 nights after you uploaded this video. Ex Ben Lomand in Santa Cruz Mtns.
Yeap, MTN HAMILTON showed the snow. Used to live up on that ridge in High School.
@goldenstatepicker our weather remains whacky. I've been bundled as if I'm in a ski lodge, rather than Silicon Valley while doing desk work. If the weather isn't restored, I have less reason to pay the exorbitant rates to live here - LOL.
@@marcellabrowning315 I feel like the last two years we are due a refund!!
@goldenstatepicker We certainly are, LOL! I haven't determined where to file my claim, YET.
Very poor choices by the parents who will no longer be in their childrens lives. Thanks for reminding us that these dodgy businesses exist Mike. Its something for us all to keep an eye out for and avoid associating with. It can also help us understand some peoples jaded views of resellers, they could be viewing us as thieves 👀 unfortunately.
Mike that was an awesome video one question I see u had a local sale pickup on eBay any reason for that or what was the logic behind it? Was just curious. Because usually u ship everything
I always have local pick as an option. These people came from 30 miles or so to pick it up. Not sure why as shipping wasn't that much.
Daily sales? list daily and take note of what time you post things. Have fun kids
Hey Golden State Pick! How many listing do you have on average? 100, 1000, 10,00, etc.? I've been following and decided to start back in March. Things are progressing nicely. Thanks
.
Currently 1800
Great info. I normally list a 100 books in two weeks then takeoff on the listing part of the business and just do the mail outs then in two weeks I list again. Em I off for two weeks? NO I pick longleaf Pine needles to sell
FINALLY Subscribed to your channel and Commonwealth was watching under my wife's account for a while Now youtubing myself
What are longleaf pine needles.
@@goldenstatepicker They are Pine Needles that grow on the longleaf Pine tree and they are 10 inches to 20 inches long and some longer then that . I sell Them for around $27 dollars a pound Pick them from the ground below the trees they fall all year long down here in South Carolina. People by them to weave basket and they sell the basket for 20 40 even 200 dollars and up. Doing this for four years now beside selling books .People buy them from all over the United States Large customer base think i cornered the market
Will one listing a day be fine, or does it have to be multiple to get the algorithm going in a positive direction? Just real busy right now but I do admit, I like sales.
I think you just need as many as possible. They like as much as you can send in.
Mike what’s the key/tip to selling bulk lots of vintage paperbacks on Amazon FBA if the books have no barcodes/ISBN? Have a lot vintage Sci-fi, Mystery, Gems that I’d like “feed the beast” as you say! I have about 4,000
If you have that many then that is awesome. I bet you have many that would sell for some good money on their own. That's the hard part. After that by lots by author etc. Nice lots to sell quickly. Also, pre-box as you do them.
I cant see where you store all your stuff in that garage! Aussie here, and about to move my ebay stuff from inside my house to a garage like yours.
You aren't the only one ask my wife! I do have three small sheds on the narrow side of my house. That area is never used so I store the books in them. It is super crazy, but I manage.
Hello from northern Michigan! On the cusp of spring. Struggling with how to decipher which books go to amazon and which ones to sell on ebay. Would you mind clarifying? Want to get started! Thanks so much!
Basically anything that is in your profit range using ScoutIQ. I would put on Amazon. Other books like lots of books ex: 20 dr Seuss books go to eBay. Some longer tail
Also go on eBay. Just watch my video and you will see the books I sell on eBay as I show them.
@@goldenstatepicker Watching more of your videos now!
Can I ask you how you ship your golf clubs? And do you ever use pirate ship?
@@sandrareed4717 never use pirate ship. I use tubes found at Joanne’s fabric store. Key is that no club should go beyond 6x6x48 inches
@@goldenstatepicker Thank you so much.
Making a “ shift” to making my reselling journey less stressful/ more joyful. Paid for a retail FBA class last October, very little profit so far while spend hours upon hours scanning, etc. Amazon fees are ex sorbet with little profit, plus, buying products to start was expensive. Hoping to recoup my cost with this ( watching your videos) and keep going. Tonight, you may have changed my life! You’re so “ relatable”… kind of like a “ northern Michigan guy”.
Thank you again from a new subscriber/follower/student (much older student lol)
How would you advise someone getting setup with a book connection like yours?
It's hard. You just have to keep looking at the big thrifts and see if they do some auctions. Like I have said took me 1.5 years of looking to find one.
First!
Hmmmmm maybe. Lol
EBay is so shite now it’s unbelievable
Umm.. the weather is amazing in florida, beach, lots of things nearbye. Beautiful nature, ceystal clear springs and rivers....
I know! It's nice many months there. Beach waters are way warmer than here.
I just can't find myself taking advice from someone that still lives in california.
Think of me as a traveler! LOL. Plus I can find some good stuff.
😂
What an absolute shit comment
She probably spent a lot of money buying stuff to get those invoices. That is how she gets ungated. It would have to be very lucrative to get ungated in some catagories, or it may not be worth the effort and expense to ungate.
That's so right. Margins? Well, she did pay the thieves. Just not worth it.
UNTIL YOU CAN'T AFFORD THE GAS TO GET TO THE BEACH.
Almost $6 a gallon in my area again. Solid $5.15 in the cheaper stations. This is just nuts.
Cool
