- Geoff Carter sets off early for his favourite breakfast treat. Thai noodle soup, with pork, fish balls, squid, and lots of Thai chillies.
Only trouble is.. No Noodle lady on Poonsuk Road. Let the search begin.
Thank you Geoff, really enjoyed all the street scenes, getting a look at the town waking up for the morning.

I really enjoyed this one Geoff. You captured something that happens to all of us while roaming about in search of food and a street that takes you in another direction. Cool to see the simple dwellings on the canal. What a moist way of life with the rain as well.

When I stayed in Hua Hin before, the same thing happen to me sometimes when I went out too early. It seems like no one is ever open. Now I live in Chiang Mai and I don't have that problem here. Good luck, hope you find some noodles soon.
I love your sense of adventure. Best times in Patts and BKK was from me being lost. Keep up the great work, Geoff.
A tip: when you eat streetfood in the evening, get another as Take Away, and keep it in your room. Next morning, tastes great. Then, when you walk around, if something's open, you can get an extra feed.Plus, eating rice topped with runny fried egg on the loo is living the high life.

I'm there on Tuesday....it's great to see where I also walk. I have so many Thai friends in Hua Hin I thought I was actually going to see one off them....2:00 mark was where the bomb went off killing that street vendor. I will keep a eye out for you Geoff if you're still in town...I'll be the one with all the Swedish birds around me 😎

The "dip noodles for seconds" business seems to leave you with a big chunk of noodles that you have to bite through. The places that give you a choice of meat have to leave it all in long enough for the meat to cook, so you get cooked noodles as well.
I wonder how long the twenty gallons of broth gets used for! In some places you're probably enjoying the same stock as Ho Chi Minh.
I agree it's all about watching your spends when traveling but what I don't get is why spend money on a cab from Pattaya to Hua hin when you could have gone by train for peanuts.
