    Thank you for the video learned a lot!!!, I’m hoping to be flying with you guys soon I passed my medical and everything recently but unfortunately they told me that no classes are available until early 2023 which is 3 months but people tell me to give up, idk from your experience and people you know if this is common with AC. Thank you again for the video:)

      @@Thefitty oh lucky! And congrats!!. And no:/ I was told to re-apply when the new posting is up. Checked every day until finally Nov22 I believe and tried contacting my hiring personal and never heard back again. The system automatically declined my application because it was less than 6 months and my emails and phone calls went unanswered hahah

      Hey! Thanks for the question. Training can be challenging but it’s definitely doable. Just be focus and study hard. To my knowledge you are not tested the first day. All the best!

    I learned a lot. I hope you grow your youtube channel. Youre off to a good start :) . i applied for flight attendant and im at the third waves of interviews the salary promised was 50k .. Are you saying this is the flying salary and not the reserve ? I know the training is at a lower salary it was written in the description but yeah..just trying to understand what im getting myself into lifestyle and salary wise.

      Hi thanks for watching! So for my airline you’re paid an hourly rate; reserve and block holder is the same hourly pay. However we are also paid perdiems (allowances) it will always be different based upon what your schedule is. I hope that’s clear. And all the best for you!!!

      Hello, thank you! Great question!!! So usually when you start, you are on reserve. Reserve is not always a bad thing, cause you can get amazing flying to Europe and other amazing destinations ☺️

    Hello love! I have a question in regard to per diem. So does it per diem only counts when you lay over? Or it depends on how many hours your flying? For ex) if I have a flight yyz-mco it only includs like lunch? Because its only 2hours flight? By the way I love your channel and your lovely❤️

    Do you know if Air Canada mainline would consider an applicant who is only a Permanent Resident but holds a British passport (which allows one to travel to even more countries than a Canadian passport does)?

      Hi! As far as I know you need to hold a Canadian passport to work for my Airline.

    Hey!! Lovely video! I have a question! I have training with AC tomorrow in customer service specialist! My question is that is it legal to work with two different airlines at the same time. I am asking because my plan is after i am working with AC for a year, i will
    apply for a flight attendent position with Westjet( part time) and i will still be working with AC ( part time).

      Great question; as far as I know. It is not legal to work for both at the same time, but you can always speak to the union to get clarity. Airlines essentially are competitors, if you see what I mean.

    Hi Kenisha!Thanks for you video!I would love to know (If you can) if those allowance’s that you received while your are outside of your home based are paid in cash ,or credit and if you really need to spend it for food or taxi in the country you actually are?Can you keep it as an extra paid?Thank you!

    Hello, great video ! Just would like your opinion : is Air Canada or Westjet better ? Pay, benefits, etc... What's your experience about them both ?
    Also, on reserve, how do you prepare the international change last minute if flying abroad?

      To your second question; I prepare by packing smartly (winter and summer clothing ect) there is constant changes, so a positive open mindset is also key.

    Hello 👋 nice videos, thanks for your information and I have question,
    Do flight attendants get paid while the plane is on the ground? Like if you have to wait at the airport couple hours do you think you will get paid for the waiting time or you just get paid during the flight hours.

      So we get paid , once the aircraft door close… to when we land at the gate.

    I have been called a couple times by a canadian airline. both time I had to decline the interview due to circumstances that couldn't be worked out but was told my information would stay "hot". How do i get back in touch with them to let them know that I am now ready to interview

    Is it easy to transfer between departments in AC? ex. from call center to flight attendant and vise versa. I know flight attendant is super popular and hard to get into.

      Not always, you still have to go through the whole process of training. Each department is different

    Hey girl! Is it possible to do more than 75 hours? And what would be the maximum number of hours you can fly? Because with the 75hrs it wont cover basic living cost 😅😅

      Angela, awesome question. Yes we all have different needs, right. Some months 75 hrs is sufficient for me, but there are months that I do more hours. At my airline, you have the option to do more than 75hrs☺️

    Hey!! I just accepted a job with AC and start training August 31st. I live in Toronto but my base was assigned as Vancouver, after I am done my training is it acceptable to commute from Toronto to Vancouver? Is it possible to request a base change at some point in my career?

      Hello and welcome! Congratulations on your new role! Yes, you are allowed to commute. I believe you’re also able to request a base transfer. Just check with your base manager to confirm!

      Not always, some postings do not require it. However a second language is a benefit ,especially French. Hope that helps☺️

    I just got a job offer for FA, training starts June 1st they already told me my base is Calgary but the guy didn’t know what commute means when I asked about if I could commute for work or not (currently living in toronto) - he said to ask in training lol I know many people do it, and I’m not sure if that’s frowned upon as a new hire or something 🙈🙈I can organize accordingly but it would be good to know if that was an option and how it works

      Hi there, so once we’re on a pairing(like laying over in a different city) the company takes care of our transportation to and from the hotel to the airport. Once you’re back home, you’re responsible for your transportation. Thanks for your question ☺️

      If you are working, you do not pay. If it’s on your own time, you cover the cost, however some airline give you discounts.

      Hi, there’s a process. It’s hard to explain, but to sum it up; who ever you’re giving the shift to, has to be “legal” to pick it up. This you learn once you become an fa☺️
