Those backfire animations are by far the best I've seen in any racing game, even assetto corsa backfire mod doesn't look as good as this

Edit: Almost any car can backfire/misfire, but NFS Heat takes it to a whole new level in stock cars. Still love NFS Heat though. I like that all the cars have insane backfires.

I love how the nitrous gives extra boost to the car without the classical arcade nitrous "flame", it makes the game so much real
Yeah and also that you have to use it strategically, because you can't "reload" it by drifting or overtaking other cars.

And you can adjust the blast of it as well so you can save it for a final straight or run low and use it strategically throughout race

What I like about Gran Turismo, is that they’ve always sticked to the same formula. I was driving RX7’s on Tokyo Speedway on my PS2 and now can still do the same on the PS5 I don’t own 🤣
This track wasn't on ps2, it only came in since gt5.
Come on man. It’s 1,5 year since PS5 launch. If you really wanted a PS5 then you would’ve had one right now. I literally managed to get 5 PS5’s for my friends, colleagues and family by only using a stock alert channel.

That sound at 4:05 is insane. Spot on to the real RX-7 when it's tuned up. Also that shifting detail with the driver holding the wheel with one hand is nice.
It sounds amazing when racing against the rx7 as well. I had an RX7 drafting behind me, had a high pitch screaming rotary sound. GT7 really upped their sound quality.
Yea but a bit unrealistic no? A "real" racing driver wouldve put their hand back on the wheel when finish shifting and going into corners its a cool touch for sure tho

The fact that brake calipers glow red-hot after heavy braking was something I really liked in GT Sport, now that everything else looks amazing it looks even better

Gt7 is the best racing game I’ve played in about 14 years. Polyphony fixed basically every issue I had with 5 and 6
5 was amazing 6 was fucked.

I never really got to play 6. For some reason, my PS3 never can install it. Even after HOURS. Now Gran Turismo 5, my favorite one!

I mean, Live For Speed had that since 2006, and BeamNG since 2012, and rFactor.... But yeah, its awesome.

What camera view was that? Does anyone know how to access it?
@@dsfutbolmusic94 both footage of this video when he's showing tailgating view angle, and then after that, Cinematic replay, are actually Replays.
You can switch to cabin view only with Replay footage.
So what he did: Play the game first. After winning, replay it, but with usual tailgating camera to make it seems he's playing while it's actually just a Replay, so he can switch to Cabin view while recording the video.
After that, replay again, but with cinematic cameras.
I think what gets me is how the driver shifts so calmly 😂

I like the animation of the hand in manual shifting, looks fluid, I like how they keep improving these little details. I just wished the hand was more on the wheel and less on the shift

Nothing as been able to take me away from forza for the last 10+ years but this has changed the game . Considering I have this on PS4 it beats FH5 on Xbox one hands down . Beautiful game and has all the little extra forza don’t have . Let’s see what forza motorsport 8 brings to the table as that’s more of a comparison
@Synergy2900 mate I’m a huge forza fan boy hands down but that’s only because after gran Turismo 2 it really went down hill , this games gave me the same feeling I had when I played it as a child it’s really gone back to it’s routes . It’s a proper motorsport game . Give it a try you won’t be disappointed . I’m not writing forza off by the way I’m just saying that GT7 has carefully paid attention to detail and your grateful for it when playing
Forza I like but has always been a easy racing game for me to play , coming from a person who use to race cars , grand turismo gets the physics down .We're is forza use to be a graphic show case .
Check out the Genisis group 3 and 4 in Korea manufacturers, i am in love with the looks of these cars.

My problem with Motorsport is the physics, also GT has the plus of that “virtual life” vibe with everything from changing oil to having home, to get licenses and start racing feels like if you started racing irl with slow, cheap cars
They're not joking when they're talking abt the replay shoot, it legit look realistic, not just good for a game, all that detail, suspension movement, tire roll, reflection, pitch and dive of the car, it looks so good
The unique camera angles on the music replays are fantastic and I wish they would incorporate it to the normal replays, a solid game would be made even better with great replays that allow you to view your racing in different camera angles after the race, it's definitely doing great, yet it could be better.
The labels above the cars are especially awesome and really add to the realism of the replays 😂
Someone posted a clip from GT Sport online and everyone was arguing over whether it was real life or not. It was of a Supra spinning out on a track, but it looked so realistic people weren’t sure if it was a real clip or not.

I just knew it was Gran Turismo by the tire smoke, and had to look a lot of times to know if it was indeed GT... And I spent so many hours on GT, I sould've recognized it already, but it became so beautifully realistic that I couldn't instantly know! Amazing games...

My favorite thing about this is how they simulate the powerband in cars it’s gotta be the most realistic I’ve ever seen. Not even pc2 or assetto come close. I love how even after 200 he’s accelerating like crazy just because he’s in a high rpm

Besides all the details people have mentioned, I love that the rotors glow red on the hard braking at 7:38. Maybe it's been in other GT games but I haven't played any since 4.

That feature was in GT3 but only on some cars, one of them was the Nismo 400R if I can remember.
Somehow this game looks incredibly modern and photoreal yet still nostalgic at the same time

Now THIS just brought back some awesome ass memories! Tuning up an RX-7 to the max and taking on some fast vehicles and always something I admired on Gran Turismo since GT3. I’m happy they added all cool features like customization, engine swaps , nitrous etc. I was mad I couldn’t make a 800hp ek or s2000 in GTsport

Glad to see GT finally getting their sound effects right. That was always my biggest gripe with this game throughout the years.
Man, this is how I imagined Need for speed would look like in 10-15 years after playing it back in 2004. I wish polyphony made an "underground" racer with the same physics and graphics applied with the underground style of racing in the city with surrounding mountains that have swervy roads.
Of course if you hit road signs, and such they get demolished just for that arcadish 'flare' but overall the physics stay like this with the upgrade system like it has and you can drive to the tune shops for performance and looks. GT7 with this track and the "vroom" soundtrack is a legit proof of concept they can pull of the REAL successor to NFS underground racer.
I can already see it, they would just need to improve the 3rd person camera to not be static to the car but has dynamics of its own when you steer the car it follows but not in perfect sync....

The stuff you mentioned about the 3rd person camera can already be tweaked to be how you mentioned afaik. You just put everything to 0 and it looks right. But yeah, I hope we get a GT:Street or something :P

Love how they nailed the paint job and car dimensions. I mean I played FH5 for a little before I got bored. Purchased the spirit R and everything looked off. Similar but off. GT Sport nailed 95% of the spirit R, but this looks even closer. To the white version.
The FD in this video actually has the Type RZ’s ‘Snow White Pearl Mica’ color. It looks much nicer than the Spirit R’s ‘Pure White’ so I applied it.

That camera angle that looks over the shoulder of the driver is fucking dope. That's the first I've ever seen a camera angle like that in any game let alone a racing game

The Inside camera, by FAR the best detailed, comfortable and smooth real animations I've seen.
but they have no FOV options. this makes cockpit cam not viable. It only looks good for a few minuts and then I get annoyed. I don't get it, why polyphone provides so little customization. No FOV adjustments, not pedal calibrations etc. there is not a single reason to not have that.

That thing shifts. I'm thinking of which Gr. 3 car to get. Priority is responsiveness and handling over top speed. Thinking maybe a Audi, Subaru or McClaren.
You can just build your own Gr.3 car with the tuning shop.

Gran Turismo is by far this year taking the spot light in the racing games scene. This game is gorgeous.

The antilag system is not working on skyline gtr 33. I think it is a bug. Requires an update soon.
I am really enjoying the more realistic handling and I also love the turbo lag that exists overall.

Judging by the glow of the brakedisks, your brakingforce might need a little rebalance to the rear. Since the front glows much brighter i would say you have too much brakepressure to the front it seems, reducing efficiency (which could be the cause of the understeer into turn 1 second lap). Apart from that, awesome.

Everything in this game just…works it’s as close to perfect as anyones gotten so far. I really just don’t like the cafe as the main progression but I understand why it’s there. It’s great
It gets better as you progress i like how the cafe gets you alot of free cars as you play through them

There's a Far/Near option, it's set to Far by default. Sensitivity 1 as well

I upload everything in 4k whereas most huge channels still only do 1080/1440 for some reason... UA-cam compression kills a lot of videos

It’s only for the replay cams, you can cycle through camera views and youll get to the shoulder cockpit cam
Display setting and the second column choose the second option forgot the name but that one

How exactly do you use the nitrous, this is my first time playing a gran turismo with this feature so i was just curious
I think you have to map it to your controller
R3 by default (right stick)
You have to see what button on your controller is mapped for "boost/nitro" in the settings. That button will activate nitrous but will also activate DRS or hybrid in some cars where applicable.

It’s the lobby setting that prevent players to use nitrous only the lobby leader can choose if he wants nitrous in his lobby or not

i cant believe that no one is mentioning the nice animations the driver has! Look at how the driver turns his head to his hips and to the side from time to time like a real person would. Its insane how much detail went into this game.
Yea it has some flaws, pop ups slow and low resolutioin reflections on the hood sometimes. But overall it shines on so many levels. The intro alone deserves a nomination.
This game looks way better than Forza Horizon 5 and it has such 2000s vibes. Love it.
Also love how the rearview mirror is just a decoration.
