This airport is rated the friendliest in America and although it can be confusing to navigate, it is a great airport to have close by as nonstops are available to Hawaii, Florida, the east coast, and international. Terminal 3[edit]
The terminal is officially named John S. McCain III Terminal 3 with 22 active gates (F1-F9, F13-F15, E1-10) and is currently used by Air Canada, Alaska Airlines, Boutique Air, Contour Airlines, Delta, Frontier, Hawaiian Airlines, JetBlue, Spirit, Sun Country, and United. Delta operates a Sky Club in the terminal.
The Terminal 3 Modernization project involved three components, which improved the capacity and convenience features of the terminal. This project updated the terminal after its previous renovation in 1997. Component One opened in December 2016 and redeveloped the central terminal building, creating a consolidated security checkpoint, new airline ticket counters, an updated Museum Gallery, HVAC enhancements, and increased baggage handling capacity. Component Two involved the complete demolition and reconstruction of the southern concourse, which was opened in January 2019. The new linear concourse includes new shops and retail, as well as a new Delta Air Lines Sky Club.[36] Component Three renovated the North Concourse amenities, with a new United Club included.[37] The third phase was completed in early February 2020, with the remaining Terminal 2 airlines moved to Terminal 3 and the closure of Terminal 2.[32][31][38]
Terminal 4[edit]
The terminal, officially named Barry M. Goldwater Terminal 4, is the airport's largest and busiest terminal, and it functions as the hub for two airlines: American and Southwest. It holds 84 gates (A1-30, B1-28, C1-19, and D1-8) within seven concourses. The airlines using Terminal 4 are American, British Airways, Southwest, Volaris, and WestJet. Terminal 4 is the exclusive international customs arrival terminal. Reflecting its longtime presence at Sky Harbor, American operates three Admirals Club locations in the terminal.[39] Terminal 4 also houses the Sky Harbor USO Club, available for active, reserve, and retired military personnel and their spouses and dependents.

I was working at the rental car facility till covid happened. I drove around the airport thousands of times either to go get a car left there in the garage by one of our customers or to go home. I drove them spiral ramps. Got a little dizzy. And yes, it can be confusing as to how to get around the airport. It took me years to finally get it right. I love your videos of Phoenix. It gives me glimpses of how it looks today and memories of the past.

Haha I used to jump off the light rail on 44st and take the esculator up to Sky Harbors restrooms if it's an emergency. Traveling to and from work.😅

Very confusing. I watched this so that I knew how to get to terminal four departures from the 202 but I could not track your directions at all.
I have to admit, I have circled the airport more than a few times. The key is knowing how you get to Terminal 4 when coming in from the east. Thanks for watching.

Outside of the baggage claim there are lots of option for the hotels. I would verify with the one you are staying at, but they also have ride share (Lyft, Uber). Safe Travels, and I am glad you enjoyed the video.
