I'm so glad you decided to release these videos regardless of the audio issues. I enjoyed watching the amazing varieties of plants and accessories, and it helps that you use your hands to gesticulate lol. Keep up the good work, Sean. As always I'm looking forward to your next video. PS: so fun that your mom collects chicken figurines. I collect turtles so I can kinda relate lol
We call that here, Mandivilla, hv maroon flowers, white, pink, Red... Its nice to put it in wire designs like umbrella design and it bears flowers all year round. Thanks for sharing... Love plants and love your vlogs...
The 50 shades of green took me out 😂 it was exactly what i was thinking! I loved the baskets and the cat selling pots. My favorite vendor so far! 😍 lol
Tx a mio 4 bring us to this market Sean. I've been once there couple years ago...Anyway really want that compact lush of ZZ plant ... never seen it..😅 Note : Min 00:26 is BOP / Bird of Paradise (Strelitzia Reginae).
Hey Sean, first off I just want to say I love your channel and videos!! Do you have a video out about how to restake a philodendron, when it outgrow it's current stake?
They normally have even more cactii booth! This was filmed in April during the height of omicron so can you imagine how much more packed this market is normally.
You are truly my favorite UA-camr. You're so humble and hard working. I love all your videos and honestly could care less about the sound being messy. Loving your vibe from overseas!🌱❤️I wish we could all be as caring and nurturing with plants as the Thai people are and you of course
hi Sean! thanks for the tour! I live in HK and will be traveling to BKK later this year. Do u know if the shops do shipping of plants? As a tourist, I really want to bring some nice plants home during travel!
They dont ship unfortunately. You might want to be in touch with an exporter who might be able to help you. Do reach out to @januaryfoliage to see if she has any resource. HK do require import permit on your end to receive the plants… but its extremely easy from what I heard
@@onlyplants The shops don't ship, but there are two parcel companies for purchases at the market (they do a thriving business at the weekend market with tourists!). The difficulty is with import permits when needed.
Hi I going to Bangkok soon may I know the chatuchak plant market only open on Tuesday to Thursday only but close on monday and friday any advise thank.
Love your channel! I have a newbie question, being a recently plant owner and looking to travel again soon (now that we can), what do you recommend to use for watering indoor months if we are away for up to 2 months? Any methods or advice would be great! (or a video =) or two..)
There are self watering globes. If you have have a small collection you can place them all in a medium lit room and close the door. Seal in humidity. Also having a friendly neighbour or family or friends to come in is a good idea 😀
Heyy chatuchak is actually famous for being a weekend market. But weekends sell non-plant related goods (but fun). Only Tues-thurs is for plants but in the same venue.
Great videos, despite the sound issues :) How big is the plant market there compared to the usual chatuchak weekend market? Im guessing about a quarter of the size (?)
Its exactly the whole market but not the inside/shaded stalls. So its like a loop. You can probably see that loop Im talking about if you google the map of the market. It takes a full 6-8 hours if you want to really take in everything though. But about 30 min stroll if you dont stop at all.
Hi, I have a question, 6 months ago I bought philodendron atabapoense cutting without growing bud and it does absolutely nothing. Will it produce new growing point over time or it will just sit like that all the time?
If you find the right sellers, and if you live in a country that permits imports, I think its possible to source them 😀 but you can also check your area. Facebook plant groups for these specific plants might already exist that can help you with your collection
I just love the thought of you walking around assuming no one speaks english and complimenting everyone. So wholesome haha.
😀😀

Sean, is this Plant market at the famous Chatuchak Market that opens only on weekends?

@@onlyplants Ok yup i was hoping that it would go round the perimeter, thats great that it does. Thank you for my original reply!! :D
How much do moss poles cost in your area?
About $0.50-$1 USD depending on size
In chatuchak, can you buy seeds?
Yes but they usually sell only vegetables, fruits or flower seeds. Not so much for ornamental plants.
I just bought those exact self watering pots. I find they work best depending on the plant I have in it. They’re ok.
But that takes the joy out of watering thhem 🥹

Send me photos and basic care summary on instagram @bo.tan.ist so I can see better. Its definitely not normal
I love carnivorous plants and stag horns..... How can I order to ship or not possible???????
If you find the right sellers, and if you live in a country that permits imports, I think its possible to source them 😀 but you can also check your area. Facebook plant groups for these specific plants might already exist that can help you with your collection

Have a feeling it is! Thank you
Please tell me this place name (location)
Chatuchak market. But its only plants on Tuesday to thursday every week.
How to bring to Indonesia ? Is it need import permit ?
Yes need import permit to import legally. Its nearly impossible unless you have a business and registered with ministry of agriculture. Its terrible.
We could do online to register the permit..
That heliconia looks like a birds paradise no?
It's called False bird of paradise.
