Johnathan Franklin earth prec and night are definitely viable for topping charts. In my full spec on live when I was earth I was still parsing 40ks buffed as a tank. Just after stats revamp the other tanks struggle a bit replicating the same

Thanks for the guides...I know you don't like "battle tank" specs but honestly I've been using this Atomic one on the Switch and in lower content it works perfectly fine. It's a good way to get through solos, duos, alerts and lower raids, especially for new players who maybe have new DPS players and want to help out kill stuff faster.
It was a long time ago so I dont know what it would do now but I remember I had a lot of fun running a earth precision battle tank i used the bow and the smoke bomb combo to clip powers with the precision boost power earth had and I was doing serious damage at the end of raids I was coming out in like 3rd most damage. Except for the hardest raid out at the time I could clear everything as a earth battle tank the biggest problem was people looking at my stats for random group runs and not letting me run cuase I was a battle tank.
I am rage brawling with cr 357 currently and yes, ONLY switch to battle tank when running SOLO missions content or some lower content group missions. For reason that running those on a Full Tank build takes a long time. Same tanks gears, mystic, manacles and solar for the heat vision which is my opening attack. I removed HL shield because Redirected is good enough along with Bloodlust. I dont use any rage crash causing powers just Relentless, Outrage, Lacerate. I use the ep42 dom and might augs, 4 might origins. I suggest to get an extra armory too so you can switch on the fly. Respect your class of choice, respect other classes, and be a Tank that your group needs
If you battle tank using that rotation as earth u should swap brick for crystal. It stone skin would be up all the time so pointless having brick load out. Earth can buff crystal damage on top of pet artifact too or u can remove crystal for however ur play style wishes

If they added three more artifacts to allow for shielding for tanks battle tanks would be really great. It has always worked for me in the past and there is a way to find a good balance to it.

I have heard others indicate health over dom for earth tanking as higher health pool is better for the brick mechanic. Specing Health with the tetrahedron will add additional Benefits of increased might.
The addition of defense from the 65% total of your dom will grant more survivability than adding health which transfers 66% of incoming damage to Brick and if Brick does die which it definitely will, you would still have that full defense available mitigating damage while you re summon Brick where a Health spec still has you taking increase damage and that fact that your shields would be weaker to protect you while you summoned Brick. If you are going for more damage yourself with jackhammer etc you can run Tetra of that buff but Earth really can't get their health pool high enough to have any decent increase with the tetra as apposed to Rage & Fire and if there is a might dps in the group his health buff may be higher and overrite yours anyways.
Do you have the numbers on how much points in defense translates to amount of damage absorbed. I have both loadouts and in my health load out the health difference is 14165 with would equate to 42, 495 in damage absorbed. Where as the difference in Dom is only about 3,000 and 65% is 2141. The question is how much damage would an additional 2141 in defense make.

really the only true battle tank you have is Earth, fire can get away with it but mostly for older content. The other tank powersets aren't designed for "battle" in realistic raids
Obsidian for me fire tanking is hard. The heals don’t come fast enough and I did very quick I got 229 sp ik I need to grind sp but when I’m rags I can tank everything

Revert the game back to where it was 2013, all powers and abilities. That time period was the most balanced the game has ever seen all while having some of the hardest raids come out. With phase dodge even the worst dps powers could compete against the top and you didn't have a #1 powerset. Even the normal meta of HL, gadgets, celestial etc anyone could beat anyone and all tanks had their positives and negatives.
I was curious, could you showcase some precision based loadouts and a little more in depth tips for what to use for situations? I only ask, because I would like to start trying prec dpsing.

It will be still Sacrifice or when the situation calls for it Concentrated Ground but its harder to position for the group. Life Drain is pretty lacking as a supercharge.
i find that if i do use a super charge with earth instead of gemstone shield i run eye of the gemini instead of manicales then i get the healing and the tank benefits from gemini, I also found similar results using debris field/tectonic break/unstoppable/JH/epicenter with emtomb - solaramp/grim/eye of gemini that way i get the stoneskin and dont have to worry about brick and his broken mechanics...thoughts? I definitely appreciate the note on the dominance it helped me balance out my gear and squeeze out a bit more might that i was sacrificing running full tank gear
Rage really needs its stat points and gear to be able to do this right? i just hit 30 with mine and full geared him with the initial tank gear, however i only have 20sp and my power runs totally out with only the first SP>frenzy>outrage>frenzy rotation while you barely used about 20% of yours on it

in older content you can get away with running full dps gear, but its really dependent on the content and the healers. So you can start with as much dps gear and keep the tank neck and weapon etc and then add gear from there if you feel like you are taking too much damage.
Rage is more melee dmg where elec is max range and munitions is a mix of both so largely depends on your preference. Elec is normally good when content is current but when you go in older raids or alerts etc everything dies before elec dots finish ticking which can lead to reduced dmg compared to munitions where it’s all burst
ultimately it will depend on how you survive. You can certainly do 4 prec and then have dom head augments if you feel squishy just swap one augment at a time etc
Can you make a battle healer guid for every power? That would be super awesome. I have celestial and i am a great healer but i want to start with battle heal prec, i dont know where to start
Battle heal is all prec and you run the demon fang as that’s the most important artifact for battle healing. There isn’t a viable might build for battle healing

My loadout is the 2 pulls that heal, HL shield, rage shield, remorseless recovery and server punishment. My friend said remorseless recovery is trash but it doubles my heals. What's your opinion on remorseless recovery??
Remorseless was better in the past but they nerfed it like 4 or 5 months ago. The remorseless heals won’t be enough to save you, all it really does is extend the duration of fervor for the 50% defense for the full 12 seconds cause severe punishment doesn’t. You could run Ire or run a supercharge like perfect poise or dash attack. Also I’m guessing you are running echain to cancel crash? Cause the way you worded it ragebringer and without mercy both heal and are pulls but didn’t see you mention echain originally

Btw Obsidian when u do your dps tests can u also do single target? Helps me learn boss damage and just single target makes me feel more comfortanle when i see if its below 15k or 10k depending on robot sidekick or not
For sure my worry is that someone will just wear dps gear wanting to do dmg and then you have 2 healers blowing through power to keep him alive. Same concept as a controller with the claw in a raid, troll wants to do dmg so now the whole group gets limited power just because of it
After spending 95% of my time as a tank I’m switching to troll. Most of these players nowadays are fucking retarted running ahead of the tank and dying blaming the healers. They die to stupid mechanics and are unable to do support roles. The buy their way on the scoreboard and scam left n right like the worlds gonna end. The worst thing is when you CONSTANTLY hear Leagues say their active and chase feats, but are barely on leaving you to do group missions with PUGS or slug through it solo.

lmao two years my earth battle tank is transformation card, Gemini, and Scrap. I got Bloom and Speed Drain on and I Never run out of supercharge.

Your blue generator mods in your base are they power or health? You can get 4 power generator mods which will make a big different from that aspect

You can parse 60s by default on Dcuo in the gameplay settings. Besides that there wouldn’t be an option in game it would be all 3rd party programs
