Basically that would be during a correction pattern . As if we trade main impulses than we can't have that much variation. But yes, in case you are caught in something like this it can be a veru useful strategy to get out.
I'm actually sitting here almost at a loss for words. I was on demo- I have not gotten a live account yet; that is in the works. but i stumbled across a very very similar strategy myself after playing around and have not had a SINGLE loss other than one that i just decided to close early. this looks to be more refined where you can gain a certain amount of pips in profit....
my questions that I had while watching and trading are:
1. how do you add a take profit line on metatrader 4 for example
2. is the demo account any different than having fake money?
3. is it seriously this easy? I am itching to actually test this on a live account. what i have been doing so far is just having a sell and buy; once either reaches a profit i close the order. once the next (buy or sell) reaches a profit, i close the order. sometimes i don't even watch it. I literally sleep on it and the market has changed enough to give me much more profit on the orders I have left open through the night.
some remain seeming like losses but i have recovered every single one for profits on multiple times the initial lot......
i had to look up if i was tripping or not.

I make anywhere from 0.5% to 1% every day so having one of those bad days is not a big problem trust me, your entry’s are really important, do not ever enter a trade in a range, and if you get stuck in one and get to 4% Floating loss, take the loss
Martingale for a lot of people is very bad but if you know what you’re doing and have a plan it will make you very profitable, having a stop loss alone is dangerous over time if you don’t have an edge, it slowly eats up your account! What’s the percentage of people that fail? 95%? 98%?

I developed EA exactly as per this specification. It lost big in trending market. Overall it was loss for both 2019 and 2020.
I also developed an algo with this strategy. It consistently caused huge draw down and then it's a coin toss if it recovers. I wouldn't trade this strategy with real money.

When you backtested did you limit the ea to trade certain times , try the trade trigger at the 200 ma
In your worst case you block margin for 17 lots for succeeding a minor profit, if the 8th bet hits its TP, instead of taking a minor loss and have all your funds (minus the loss) available for a new trade much earlier in the day. Is this a good deal?

Typical Martingale variant. Works until it wipes account. Markets have a knack of finding weakness in every strategy eventually. In this example, theoretically market could range btwn targets longer than the account can handle. The key to trading is to focus on minimising drawdowns as priority 1, rather than elusive future profits or no loss fantasy. If you can keep drawdowns low then the side effect is organic profitability. Once you have mastered low drawdowns, then use the power of compounding to grow account. Compounding is slow at first but eventually explodes exponentially.

I'm not sure if there is an issue with translation and use of the English language but mathematically if you place two trades and one hits take profit and one hits stop loss that is a 50% win rate not a 100% win rate. Hedging a trade does not inherently make it a 100% win strategy. YOU ARE TAKING A LOSS ON 50% of your trades. there is nothing wrong with a 50% win rate if you are running a 2 to 1 risk reward ratio, but don't pretend you are winning 100% of your trades.

Yes - the title is misleading. It is clever in that it can hedge your initial bet, but if you are stuck in a range, the position size of each subsequent trade rises exponentially as well as the risk if you can no longer put in any additional trades (due to lack of leverage / insufficient account size). This can happen if you are stuck in a range between the upper and lower take profits. You could theoretically make this work if you had a strategy whereby you cut your losses at an acceptable risk and you adjusted the Take Profit to Stop Loss Ratio, and the ratio of Position Size to Equity to make it sensible.

One can easily blow his/her account with this straregy unless s/he has a large balance in the account. But one also can use this strategy with less volatile currency pairs with 5 pips between the buy and sell orders. It always works. This method is very close to the Zone Recovery publicised by Joe Nemeth back a few years ago. It is a kind of Martingale. You have to trade with a large account and start with the smallest unit or lot. You can be wiped out any time.

It's all nice, except it doesn't take the fact if in the 1st moment the trade hits the 60 pips above, you bought 1 lot and sold 1,4 lot= you are loosing money... this works if your trade stays in the range but if it hits the 60 pips at first, you're screwed...
You cannot trade this manually. You need an EA because a very large candle can go through 2 levels at once and not give you chance to set up a pending order.
Also, TP and SL to be adjusted according to daily range of the pair being traded.
You can’t blow your account with this at all, it keeps your drawdown static. The worst case scenario is that you run out of margin to open new trades and you have to close out all positions at once just taking the loss of where drawdown has been stuck at.
Only wins 100% if you have enough capital to survive a loosing streak. The strategy has unlimited downside and limited upside. If you use it long enough then on an inevitable long loosing streak when the market ranges for a time when you are in the trade then a hedging strategy like this will wipe out any account 100% guaranted. I wrote an EA to test it and the account gets blown out on every back test in every market.

As if you place for example a Take Profit of Sell orders and Stop Loss at Buy order the same price - for example, 1.01500 that means TP for Sell executes at ASK=1.01500 and SL for Buy executes at BID=1.01500, so it could be that price has spread 5 pips, and price touch 1.01505 ASK, 1.01500 BID, so SL for Buy executes, but... TP for Sell will not execute because ASK price is not so low as 1.01500, and then price goes up - and you are in HUGE LOSS
SO - you should place TP and SL orders with few pips difference, maximum average spread for that day time for your broker...

This hedging strategy will work as long as the price reach TP before you run out free margin. In this example, the price should move from 140 pips range (ie 60 + 20 + 60)... If the price failed to move from this price zone several time you will run out your free margin and your pending order will not be executed.
That is completely correct. As soon as the free margin drops below zero you will get real trouble
Well our life is almost the same as trading it depends on your strategy on how to make it fruitfull or not and also your choice if your going to take risk in some decisions that maybe make you profitable or not!but I must say practice makes perfect though so there is nothing wrong with this guy sharing his knowledge to those who are interested in trading coz at the end of the day we are one whose going to decide.
Its true but with this strategy, which consists of both long and short positions, you are only 2.5 lots net short after the 8th swing. its just 2.5x the initial position size.

It have to be platform that allows to set take profit at bid and stop loss at bid. This way it will work, otherwise it can hit stop but not profit and price will turn around and never close trade with tp.

This strategy should be use for breakeven only, if the first trade did not go on your plan, then open the 2nd trade with higher lot size. But if the 2nd trade still reversed, my advised is dont try to open the 3rd trade. Just accept your loss or you will blow your account if you open multiple position with higher lot size
