Testing the Orange Vise

Helping out subscriber Joe and everyone else by showing the disassembly and cleaning of an Orange Vise. Then I follow it up with measuring deflection of the fixed end.

I'm sure you know to make life easier you can get 1/2" dowels with tapped holes in them

Yes, but those dowels are a non-standard undersize. Very specific.

I appreciate the effort. I do a lot of mould parts were they are ground so repeatability is needed to be .0005" But as you said it should be good just good hand tight will do. Also sitting totally on the bed of the mill with no overhang probably will help as well. The other thing is I need two off do to a lot of left and right parts and being in Canada I pay 30% more.
