The blue shell target didnt switch it was still targetting ben. The only thing that happened was that because ben fell off the map it hit the point where he was going to respawn which unfortunately mark drove into.
The blue shells lock on once it's a certain distance away from the first. It had already locked on to Ben. He fell of and Mark was in the path of it's explosion. He just unlucky lmao

Des has won. He almost swept on that day.
Dylan could be way in the back in the final lap and still somehow end up winning. Idk if it's the rest of RDC selling or him just really racing or both.
He hogs good items and waits to use them to pass them up.
Mixture of both to be honest. When your in last place you typically get better power ups so Dylan can easily catch up to first place as long as there's not too big of a gap. Simultaneously all of RDC are either too focused on getting first or give up and try to maintain their current position's which why they talk about fighting in the back.

POWER RANKINGS :
5 - DESMOND
Everything reset, and DE5 got right back where he was. Not a single first place, 3x as many last places as everybody, worst AVP by far, Des was behind all 50 minutes of this video, truly a force to be reckon with.
4- BEN
There was a clear gap between top 3 and the other 2. Although he tightened up on that 5th set with a brutal 20 points victory, most of the night was either one of other 3 being GONE, or them 3 being close and leaving the other 2 behind. Ben had an argument for the best racer on pure mechanics, but he hoed himself a whole lot here. Still miles in front of DE5 tho.
3- LELAND
As I said earlier, there's a gap between 3 and 4, this is big boy territory. Mark said it himself, Leland was a dark horse this session. Started blazing right off with 19 points, and was right there all night. That set 4 with a 3-way tie said it all.
Him and #2 honestly a toss up, but #2 had some dominance that I think deserves to be rewarded.
2- MARK
MR PERFECT SET. I would say his performance was inconsistent, but honestly it's probably because he was the one with POV. On some occasions he got smart with the item usage, which surprised me cause usually ( and sometimes this session tbh ) it's his main weakness. His 1-1-1 set honestly is the difference between him and Leland so far.
1- DYLAN
MR PERFECT SET, TWO TIMES. 2023 was his year, and he starting 2024 with a banger. Best AVP, two perfect sets, most first places, DESPITE hoeing himself sometimes, that how dominant he was, once he picked it up. Y'all gonna say I'm dickriding, but giving flowers when it's due.

Facts, Mark to me has always been the best driver, (Racing without items) but his applications of them have never been the best, especially defensively as he always ends up selling a game because he released whatever item he was using to defend himself, that said his offensive was fantastic here. Lee is way better than I give him credit for, but it's usually so unexpected to be honest.

I’ve been defending Ben until today. Absolutely horrible on this stream yet he still kept his streak alive of winning at least one set on stream. Dylan is officially the best on 200cc for me. Good racing, Dyl!!!!
MAWK USE THIS ADVICE GAURANTEE YOU'LL BE TOP RACER.
1. Get a Lighter Kart/Racer you're on 200CC [Acceleration/Traction > Top Speed/Weight]
Recover & Reach top speed faster, way easier to control on difficult maps.
2. Use mushrooms correctly [Common Item]
Always boost over terrain it's practically a free shortcut on every map, Never boost near a cliff or during a boost since boost's don't stack.
I see you boost on top of map given boost's a lot that's a waste of a mushroom.
3. Focus on getting coins early [Increases acceleration and top speed]
This is how you create large gaps early in the race and keep them.
4. Mentality [Stay unbiased and stay hungry]
Your words and bias effect the way the others race and it's easy to notice, stop glazing & give others credit.
Don't give up mid set, quitters don't prosper.
5. Strategy [Item usage and ability to read the situation]
2:06 There's large gaps in between the bananas stop relying on them and throw one backwards when needed.
27:03 Ben's in first and he's not a threat currently, hit Dylan with the red shell and end his momentum.
INSTEAD: You held the red shell until it got ran into and didn't gain any position or alter the race.
39:15 Leland's first and isn't a threat, Dylan's behind you and you're given 3 red shells use this opportunity to hoe him.
INSTEAD: You throw three red shells all hitting absolutely nothing, 2 of them hitting minecart's right in front of you and Dylan passes you.
There's more examples but I'm just naming the ones I recall, Dylan's top racer because his item usage is amazing and yours is abysmal so it makes up for his lack of driving skill as he isn't the best.
This glazing to an absurd level done gave him a whole tutorial just let dem boys race now

That Bathtub map is Dylan's #1 map, nobody can beat him on that map, its also the same map he used to solidify his win for 2023. They definitely need to stop doing 200cc, the maps aren't made for 200cc, they're sorry as hell, and not a lot of people like 200cc in general. They need to do 150cc because that's the maximum speed these maps can do without it being janky af, its more entertaining and people are actually racing and not falling off the map every 2 seconds.
