My dear when you do calibration on your machin the paramiter you recieve for auto stepper set it will caculate and gives you the right amount of motor tuning , i think that is much better than changing the numbers to get the best movement , anyhow thank as you wish .
One other request is about AC servos with mach3. But I think some chinese makers do make Big CNC Routers with AC servos which runs in Mach3..! Im not sure whether any possibility.
Hi just saw your great video. I just finished my cnc build using NEMA 34 motors and currently trying to set acceleration and velocity. Can you share which pulse/rev in your motor driver are you using. Thanks
Hows it going buddy hope all is well, can you help I have my lathe set up and on my Z axis when I peck drill loosing steps any advice, I have only been drilling Aluminium and I only do a 3mm and retract and then back in just seems its to difficult for the motor, its a Nema 23 seen other motors doing it ok any ideas
Good night, I installed a playstation control in my Mach3 and I'm wanting to add a command but I can not be the (reverse run ) and working with sheet metal cutting with massarico sometimes the cut is interrupted and could program the reverse rum in control would help me a lot .... Thanks for listening ..
CNC4XR7 yes sorry weird things happening with my test setup before I assemble my unit. The motor makes a sounds as if it is turning but it actually not even turning. When the motor makes the sound as if it is turning the Mach3 is counting down as if the motor is moving. For the specific axis
It may too late but that sounds like you need to play (calibrate)with your driver switches that controls the power (Amps) and micro-steps to the motor.
can you do a short video of your configuration for the lathe in mach3, just an overview of what settings you use? I am setting up my mill to be used as a lathe again and lost all my old configuration settings when i upgraded to a newer version of mach3 and im not sure what I should have entered for the main config page.
I'm in the process of designing a fair sized full CNC milling machine (X - 1000mm Y - 500mm & Z about 300mm) and will utilize Mach 3 program. I've been trying to find out how a stepper motor determines the distance to move the machine bed or head a certain distance. I know a person programs the distance from a computer, but how does the stepper motor know it should move let's say 210mm. I don't understand the principle on how the stepper motor determines this move. I looked at many forums on the internet and came up with absolutely zero. Can some brother with knowledge on the matter please explain this to me in simple English
Hi Rsy, I don't have configurations for all the various motors stored away some where each system is different. Ball-screw pitch, Power supply voltage , machine drag, are all things that make the system different. you just have to keep moving the velocity and acceleration around until you get things sounding correct and running smoothly without stalling.
And what when it dont move? ive messed with pots 4988. So its obviously these speeds. Ive had 1 work then when I change all to the same to work from there the z will then stop working and Y will work lol. Got my extruder to turn a little to but you right not enough info. Im using lcd on 3d printer and struggling to set these.
Think the motors or nema 14 or 17. When I home some times Z will move. Then when I mess, Y work but Z stopped lol. I replicated z settings and none worked. So managed to get Y to work then replicated for X and none work. I had play with extruder it was pulsing and not powering. Got it to turn for 10secs. Using stupid china lcd lol Messing with then now but jad machine weeks now. Nightmare.
I cant really help much with the 3D printer issue completely different software. the setup is different I suggest asking someone more familiar with the board your using. Good Luck
I mailed you for the Mortise and Tenon SetUp also. I would really love to see more videos from you about mach3 macros and brains.
I replied
Great video. I have been struggling with the motors stalling on my cnc milling machine and this has helped me a lot.
Great I'm glad this helped! Thank you for watching.

Thanks for the info
Your right Asghar, i dont manipulate the speed or velocity, i let the calibration process do it accurately for me.
where is that calibration?
Pictures worth a thousand words, helped a whole lot, Thanks
your very welcome
Sir, Can you please consider making a videos on macros ,brain..etc. ?
i have posted a brain video

yes

just a shot of the general configuration page. wasn't sure if I needed to change any of those setting or not

it could be many things, spindle speed may be too fast, slow, lubrication, try reducing to 1.5mm depth

Im not familiar with the Play station controller Plug in, Is there Not a setup screen where you can customize the Button?
What steps are the motors set to? 1/4, 1/8, 1/16 or something else? And what amps? 0,5 or 1 or something else? Thanks great video.
1/2 step 3.8amp if I remember correctly
Great video! Can I ask you what controller you are using? I’m using a TB6560 and getting weird things going on. It’s a ongoing build
Controller or do you mean stepper motor driver? if that is the question its a Longs Motors off Ebay I think its a DM542a

@@MrRenoman2011 i suggest you double check your wiring sounds like a issue with that.

+christopher polanski Hi what settings do you need help with That I did not cover in this video?
Excelente video. Gracias por el aporte.

Nice video. Thanks! Can you tell the stepper driver that you are using and the manufacturer of the stepper motor?
No
CNC4XR7 OK. No problem.

Pieter Botes this should answer you’re question... ua-cam.com/video/2HbeyggcwU4/v-deo.html
did you mention whether you are in mm or inches??
Yes I'm in inches and I converted the metric ballscrews to inches. If your in metric no conversion needed math
de luxe, you save a lot of time. thanks
your welcome!
Hi, nice video congrats, what config could you suggest for a nema 23 1.2 nm or 170 oz?, tks in advance

HI,l want to use SFU1604-3 model ballscrew with nema 34HS9840 motors. Please tell me steps per, velocity and acceleration.unit is mm.thanks
Mirza Zulfuqar
rm1605 would be 5.08 turns per inch.

I m getting problem in tunings of motors they are not responding on the signal
Email Me I may be able to help I suggest you go through the Ports and Pins and Also check your wiring.
Please help me .. I need help with Mach3 settings
what do you need
Sir how to automatic restart program of cnc lathe machine. What is cod use.
Tippo jee
Have you tried M30 at the end to rewind and M47 to restart
Great video.
Craig's Machine Shop Thanks I hope it helps those that may still be a little unsure after they tune the steppers,
Sam
What are the specs on your stepper motors? Are they nema 23?
Brandon Moffett
Z axis is 475 oz. X axis is 250 oz.
thks for sharing
De Nada!
Thanks all good now
thanks for the help guys
I mailed my details and all my requests
got it
Thanks
your welcome
شكرا
thank u
I presume you talking about inches like in your replies
Yes , Sorry for the confusion.
