Being a veteran doctor and brilliant orator, Dr. Sudha Seshayyan is a dynamic woman who has mastered varied roles with ease. She pursued her Bachelor's degree in Public Administration from Osmania University and Hospital Administration from Annamalai University. She became a civil surgeon at the age of 30. She is part of the International Editorial Board that published the revised edition of ‘Gray's Anatomy.' She takes credit for being the first publishing editor of the translated version of ‘Encyclopedia Britannica' in Tamil. Her write-ups in popular Tamil magazines on various spiritually-oriented subjects are much sought after and some of them such as ‘Thevara Tiruvula' have been successfully published as books. Her career growth has been steady and today she is the University co-coordinator with an additional charge as Registrar, Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University. Dr. Sudha’s interest then shifted on learning of Kamba Ramayana and laid grounds for her surfacing as a religious orator.

சுதா சேஷையன் அவர்களின் நேர்முகம், சொற்பொழிவு எல்லாவற்றையும் விரும்பிக் கேட்கும் பல்லாயிரம் ரசிகர்களில் நானும் ஒருவன். எப்போது எதைக் கேட்டாலும், 'இவ்வளவையும் கற்றுக்கொள்ள இவரால் எப்படி முடிந்தது' என்ற மலைப்பே எனக்கு ஏற்படும். தேவையான இடங்களில் ஆங்கிலத்திலும் பெரும்பாலும் அழகு தமிழிலும் பேசும் இவரை "அம்மா" என விளித்து அழைப்பதே நம் பண்பாட்டுக்குப் பொருத்தம். ('Mam' என்பது அன்னியத்தனமாகத் தோன்றுகிறது.) நமது நாடு எழுச்சியை நோக்கி கிளர்ந்தெழும் இக்கால கட்டத்தில் அந்நிய கலாசார சின்னங்களை விட்டொழிப்போம்.

Is there anything greater than MOTHERHOOD for a women to be respected? Any other accomplishments are only additional qualification. Women are the like maintenance department in a factory. Their importance may not be very glaring or noticeable, but, a factory cannot run without the maintenance department. They are like the ROOTS of a tree. Roots are not visible outside, but it is the only support and sustainer of the tree. Without this root the tree cannot survive even for a minute. Women are such roots for men, family and the society. Those who know this truth cannot but respect the woman.
