Had a busy day yesterday. Hand washed/softened/blocked 2 shawls & both Irish Opera Bags. Yesterday you asked who would try making these. I'd probably make the butterfly, but I have a lot on my plate at the moment. I know you said they were fairly fast, so I'll keep that in mind. I've never filet crocheted before, so this tutorial is super appreciated. It's SO pretty! Love you lots! Hugs
The curtain will be lovely.
Im sending you a huge HUG. The special stich is called a SHADOW STICH. I never could figure out how to do just by reading. Im a visual learner. I have many many of these patterns written UK. Hats off to you!! Mystery Buster.
Another winner. Thanks for this workshop and for making it so easy for us.
Thanks! I haven't done filet crochet in years. I'm going to have to give it a go now. I truly love the vintage crochet patterns you share with us. God bless, Janice
Oh thank you , this is really too kind ❤️❤️❤️
I just love the two patterns that you have completed. I so appreciate the time you put into each of these patterns and have made it easier for people who learn differently from others. Im definitely a visual learner. Thank you again for all the information and teaching this beautiful pattern. Have a great weekend Corinna. Many blessings to you and your family🙏🩷🙏 love from Australia 🇦🇺
Awsome tutorial, thank you si much for everything you do for us.
Thank you so much fornshowing us the patterns for each rows and the rest, it really does help thank you for doing that. It would be great to make different things with those two flower and butterfly to make a runner with a plan inbetween plus a net cartain for my little windows. Loving them. I have been watching and catching up on all your shows, love being here with you ❤
That's so pretty, I want to make a curtain with just multiples of these 2 squares. It'll be gorgeous
These are so lovely !! Thank You for your time to teach is these !! Not scared anymore, you taught it to be easy , Thank You for another great video !!!
This butterfly is beautiful! 😊
I love these so much!
I have always wanted to try filet crochet since before I started crocheting. This butterfly is right up my alley. I adore all things butterflies. I will be using #3 crochet thread. I wonder how large it will be. This will be my 'Mystery', lol! Thank you for all of your hard work & sharing these amazing patterns with all of us....especially the Mystery ones! Hugs from Ontario, Canada xxx
So pretty! I cant wait to see your doily curtain!
So beautiful! I definitely want to give this a try. You always make it look so doable and have a way of encouraging everyone to try things they might not otherwise. Thank you!
Wow 😍Your work is beautiful. Love this pattern x
So happy to see the new project
Thank you so much Corinna, I'm a visual learner so, I really appreciate all the effort you put in for us. I really love these two patterns. I've never worked in thread or such small hooks. As, I only learned how to crochet last year. But I'm getting more confident by watching your wonderful turtorials.
Sending much love from Australia ❤😊
Agreed, I only learnt crochet from you tube during the first lockdown and I was using wool from my stash. Never done crochet with threads, but I want to!
@@debbiehannah4817 yes I also want to crochet from threads! I just hope my poor eye site allows me to see what I'm doing 😭 lol
@@roxanamcglinchey6613 I was thinking of getting one of those magnifiers that you can have attached to cord around your neck….
@@debbiehannah4817 yes I think I'll look into one of those Debbie, I'm sure it will help lots 😄
I think you’re a pro at fillet crochet! I’m out of town visiting my grandkids but will definitely be writing these instructions down!
Thank you so much for that :)
hiya corinne! jeepers, i dont know which i like best - a really tough choice. they will be a terrific addition to your curtain. you are helping so many of us visual learners! xoxo
Beautiful! I love your tutorials!
Just bought pattern. I’m looking forward to this!
The formula I use is: # of blocks x 3 +1 = number of stitches. 11 blocks times 3 is 33, plus 1 is 34 stitches.
Well thank you zucchinibreath. I want to start on a curtan and it has 145 blocks. I know it is going to be a b**** to make but lovely when finished. Sow it is 145 times 3 at 1 comes to 436 blocks
Yes 145 blocks x 3 + 1 = 436 stitches, which will make 145 blocks.❤ Happy stitching! I know your curtains will be amazing!
Thank you so much. I've always had a very hard time with graphs and always get confused. Writing each row down will help so much. I think I'm going to try again yea! You inspire me ❤
😍🥰
Ce que vous faites m'a inspiré un rideau que je fais pour mon fils avec un dessin de ballon de foot, merci beaucoup 😘
Would be nice to see some filet crochet squares for Halloween
I agree, but, I don't have any, im sorry
This is an amazing pattern and I would never even think of trying it from a chart. Thank you so much, you are truly inspirational and your time and effort to give us this is truly appreciated. I will be buying the pattern, just have to wait for payday lol ❤❤❤
Hi, I just came across your channel today and wanted to say thank you for being so kind to allow people the chance to write your pattern down. Your directions are very easy to understand and follow as well!
Love and appreciate this so much… deciding which yarn or thread I want to use for these… so excited to get into these. Much appreciation for your time, knowledge, dedication and 🧡
Great tutorial! I love so much your content! I had try fillet crochet but without success. Your videos encourage me to try it again.😊
Can you please make a tutorial about connecting the two blocks together? Please?😊
all you have to do is whip stitch them together , there are a lot of videos on here that teach how to do that, im really bad at sewing, like, really bad lol
I'm diving into all kinds of filet crochet thread patterns with these itsy needles nowadays. Before, my hands would cramp up so badly from curling my fingers around these skinny hooks that I was lucky to get a pair of pillowcase edgings finished. Finally I found something that alleviates the pain immediately and keeps my fingers comfy and busy even after crocheting or typing all day at work. "Oval Finger Splints & Sleeves Kit, 6 Graduated Trigger Finger Splint & 4 Finger Sleeves for Trigger/Mallet/Arthritis/Straightening, Finger Brace Support for Thumb/Middle/Ring/Index/Pinky(Size 4,5,6,7,8,9)" from Amazon. They come in largers sizes too. They are affordable and just the solution for fingers suffering from too much fly tying or or embroidery and other assorted hobbies. BTW I even wear a couple of them when typing and it's surprising how little it affects my wpm.
Thank you for these patterns. I absolutely love filet crochet which I learnt reading graphs
Thank you very much for this pattern and tutorial!
Beautiful ❤
Gorgeous! God bless
So pretty! I really like the addition of the special stitches! It would be interesting to know how long it took you to write out each of these patterns. Excellent job!
Very sorry to hear you're experiencing pain from so much thread crochet. Breaks are good. Wonder if using a hook with a fat bulb-like handle would help?
it did not take long, with all the added distractions, it took about 1 1/2 hours each , maybe 2 , I didnt really keep track lol
-v-is called a Lacet stitch according to my American school of needlework filet book 2005
Like this. Like fillet crochet.
Love these!❤ Thank you!❤
I would love a video on how to block these, tho I think mine is more warped then yours
Beautiful ❤
Zucchini bread, that's how I do it also
This is gorgeous. What size yarn and needle did you use?
I'm trying to do a senior project in fillet crochet what thread do you use?
On the corrections are we not doing the stitch you put in the arrows or we do use that stitch am confused
4 block= 13 sts
5 block= 16 sts
2 block= 7 sts
3 block = 10 sts
7 block= 22 sts
8 block =26 sts
10 block=31 sts
I work so much more easily from charts instead of written pages - I guess its a case of horses for courses
What what I find difficult with filet crochet is to get the rows the same hight as the number of stitches is wide. This pattern wouldn't be a square if I made it. I've tried various tips and tricks, but it doesn't work for me.
