- Today on the Show we have an actor who has managed to impress us all with his terrific performances. Adil Hussain Born in Goalpara in Assam in the mid 60's. Adil Hussain started his adventure in acting as a young stand up comedian & was also one of the founding members of the Bhaya Mama Group and performed political satires for 6 years all across Assam. He acted in several Assamese TV Films and Series, Street and Radio plays and video films. He studied acting at the National School of Drama from 1990-1993 on an earned scholarship, after which he took a short course at the Drama Studio London as a recipient of the Charles Wallace Trust Scholarship. Following this he performed for one year in the Hengul Theater in Assam and then for another 2 years with the International Dans Theater in Amsterdam. It was an honor to interact with an actor who has achieved great heights but yet is very down to earth.
Adil Hussain is known for his critically acclaimed performances in award winning theater and film. ‘Othello - A Play in Black and White’ directed by Roysten Abel received international acclaim and was awarded the Fringe First in Edinburgh.Adil Hussain Having acted in more than 80 films, he is known for his work in films such as Ang Lee's Oscar winning 'Life of Pi', Subhashish Bhutiani's 'Hotel Salvation/Mukti Bhavan', Iram Haq's 'What Will People Say', Prakash Jha's 'Pareeksha', Gautam Ghosh's 'The Wayfarer', Danis Tanovic's 'Tigers', Mira Nair's 'The Reluctant Fundamentalist', Pan Nalin's 'Angry Indian Goddesses', Partho Sen-Gupta's 'Sunrise', Italo Spinelli's 'Gangor', Prashant Nair's 'Umrika', Leena Yadav's 'Parched' and Bauddhayan Mukherji's 'The Violin Player' . For his lead role in 'Hotel Salvation' and 'Maj Rati Ketaki', he received a National Award in India in 2017. His latest work portraying Lt. Aditya Sahil in 'Star Trek' the iconic international science fiction series has received unprecedented admiration from the Star Trek global fandom. He also was one the main actors in the Netflix series 'Delhi Crime' which was the first ever Indian production to receive an international Emmy award.

एक बार बौद्ध भिक्षु बोधि चीन गए। उस समय चीन का सम्राट भी बौद्ध था । उसे बोधि के उपदेशों ने बहुत प्रभावित किया ।
एक दिन चीनी सम्राट ने उन्हें अपने महल में आमंत्रित किया। वहां उसने बोधि से पूछा, 'मैं हर रोज भगवान बुद्ध के बताए मार्ग पर चलने का प्रयास करता हूं, फिर भी कभी-कभी मुझ पर क्रोध इतना हावी हो जाता है
कि मैं आपा खो बैठता हूं। मेरा अपने आप पर कोई वश ही नहीं रहता कृपया बताएं कि क्रोध से बचने के लिए क्या करना चाहिए ?'
बोध ने ध्यान क्षण कहा, 'जब ऐसा हो, अपनी आंखें बंद करो और । ऐसा करने से क्रोध अपने आप शांत हो जाएगा।' कुछ र भिक्षु ने कहा, 'जो दुर्गुण मानव पर सदा हावी नहीं रहते, उन्हें ज्ञान अभ्यास से छोड़ा जा सकता है,
लेकिन जो व्यक्ति लोभ, लालच और मोह में अंधा बनकर हर समय भोग-विलास और संग्रह के चिंतन में लगा रहता है, उसमें सुधार की गुंजाइश कभी नहीं होती।
इसलिए अपना व्यक्तिगत जीवन अधिक सरल और सात्विक बनाओ। सुख से ज्यादा खुश न होने का और दुख से ज्यादा परेशान न होने का अभ्यास करते क्रोध, लालच आदि दुर्गुणों से स्वयं मुक्ति पा जाओगे ।'
शरीर की जगह आत्मा को महत्व देने वाला व्यक्ति अशांत नहीं रह सकता । यदि सांसारिक सुख का और आपके लिए दुखी और होता तो फिर सदा रहता, कभी जाता ही । यह संसार नाशवान है, इसका ज्ञान होना चाहिए।
कोई भी परिस्थिति सदा एक जैसी नहीं रहती। यह सबका अनुभव है, फिर उसकी इच्छा क्यों करें हम ? कोई भी इच्छा पूरी होगी नहीं, और अगर हुई भी तो टिकेगी नहीं।'
बौद्ध भिक्षु की इन बातों से चीनी सम्राट नतमस्तक हो गया और फिर उसने अपने जीवन को सरल, सात्विक व पवित्र बनाने का अभ्यास शुरू कर दिया।
