thanks for crabbing video, ,, I always wondered if that river entrance was navigable,,,, wonder if a small sailboat could make it up there, ,,,, I am use to fighting river currents,, , , , , oregon coast is great w ports and rivers makes Washington coast look bad, , , , apparently entire Oregon coast was a magma island of Siletzia like Hawaii but 100x bigger about 50 million years ago that came from the ocean and jammed into the mainland so Oregon is a pacific island paradise....
@@bebe0928 , wow!., very nice. which model. I would like to have one set up as you have. Is it possible to have the infos to purchase both the outboard and the boat with their specifications ? looks very practical
Wow... reason I watch your vid cuz I'm about to buy that boat... it's on water very good I see with 2 people..👍... what engine side you used..?? 6hp or 9 hp...!! Please info .... I'm in Oregon too.. I hope I can see you out there😀... do I need boat license ?? Or resister a boat..??? My first time so sorry had so many question... thank you if you answer my question and help me out... 🙏🙏
Hi, Boats under 15 feet and below 10HP won't need a boating license. We are using the 6hp engine which is good for 2 people on it or 3 people but slower. You don't need a trailer just deflate it to transport it.
@@bebe0928 I just picked up a 16 foot Zodiac MKIII Futura…. Old but in good shape - both of us. 60hp Yamaha I would love to have you guys show me the correct way to get out there. I live a few miles north of the Salmon river.
hmm, that's quite slow for max speed. My other video shows how fast we got ours to go with 2 person on board, we were able to get running on plane: ua-cam.com/video/ZoVauWQ0pHU/v-deo.html
Very nice set up! Looks like alot of fun, I was planning on doing something like this myself, are you guys using a fish finder? I seen something at front end of the boat couldn't really tell what it was.
Hi , I have a 20 ft boat I would like to take u fishing at this spot again would u make it happen? Please contact . Thanks and love your channel. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thanks! This is at the boat ramp at Knight County Park just north of Lincoln city. The salmon river channel is very narrow and shallow, you need to time the tide windows to be able to navigate in and out safely. Also the swell needs to be under 3ft. I would not recommend a 20ft boat to attemp this river entrance, Depoe Bay or Newport would be a much better choices. But thanks for inviting me. I will definitely message you when I see the right weather days if you do want to attempt to go outside of the Salmon river. I live here in Vancouver WA, will follow your channel as well!

Yep, just did it last weekend

Nice trip guys👍 Did you use an anchor near the rocks or the engine is keeping you in the right spot?
Hi, I have a 290 Highfield classic with suzuki 6 hp. My best speed with two people is about 6 mph. What's wrong ? Any advice ?

does the boat come with a hull ID? if not how to register it?
How many hp is on that motor? I have a similar boat with a 5 hp outboard but I'm not sure if it'll be strong enough for the tide
it's a 6HP Tohatsu, it could push this 9.5ft boat to about max 17mph with 2 people on it.

Thanks, we do have a fishfinder, it's a portable unit with a suction cup transducer on the transom and the display unit in a milk crate, lol
What area is this? I’d like to find a place like this to fish while waiting for crabs
This is the mouth of the Salmon River by Three Rocks
Fighting with large Dungies, potentially a painful past time. ;)
Looks like a great day on the water! Thank you for sharing your day.
What bay did you launch from?
Hi, this is the mouth of the Salmon River by Three Rocks, not really a bay.

How many HP tohatsu are you running?
6HP
@@bebe0928 Thanks! Good motor so far? I'm also considering Suzuki 9.9 EFI as well..
Cool, for saltwater I would put Yamaha on top, Tohatsu, Honda then Suzuki. Just my personal preference :)
