Dude I am thinking about getting the Insta360 one r -- 2 cameras (creative 360 + solid 4K) for a price lower than the Hero 9 is pretty compelling. Would be great if you can make a comparison of both cameras
I actually got sent the insta 360 one r, it's still in the box but you make a great point! think I might do that! the cool thing is GoPro pays their customers for awesome content which no other brands do.
Just used my Hero 8 this weekend to do a hyperlapse around a park near my place and I can totally attest that the horizon tilted, not only at the beginning but I also ended up tilting it the other way by accident at the end. Had to keyframe it out in Final Cut. yeah, horizon leveling is gonna be huge.

Gopro 9 finally got it right with the horizon leveling. 5K video is a plus. .now we need 5K vid up to 60 fps. But I'm satisfied with the horizon leveling. Question now is. . .does the camera overheat with prolonged use? Say 30 min. at a time will the camera overheat and shut down? I've ridden my motorcycle 90 min. at a time and had to stop to swap out batteries. Looking back on the footage I would lose a couple minutes of video but the sound still recorded during the missed video. It was odd. .I think either from overheating or just before the battery died. Let me know if you experienced anything similar [by the way this was with the gopro hero 8 black these things happened]. Thanks. .and thanks for sharing.
