I feel like Muerte's fake drops work better cuz the low end isn't super loud, so the drops hit a lil harder than if all the basses had the same filtering as in the actual drops.
AIGHT HOLD UP. Those 30 seconds in The Fortune Teller is genius. That 30 sec "fakeout" in The Fortune Teller is a bridge that connects the first and second drop. It's some of the best songwriting I've heard in riddim/trench in quite some time, not to mention it has a sort of groove that makes it enjoyable (at least for me) to hear. I can understand if it's too long, but IMO it works and absolutely makes the song for me
agree 100% I dont understand why he critics EVERY Idea that someone uses and say: "Yea I like it BUT....." just to safe his words with "Yeah I said I like it so why you hatin, its all jokes 🤡"
also lmao i get what you mean about the overlying tonality being kind of "happy" i wouldn't say it gives off happy vibes but the swing definitely makes me take the drop less serious. the fakeout tonality on hexed is goofy as shit tho but not necessarily bad
i came here just for the fortune teller fakeout/bridge reaction, knowing how u feel ab fakeouts lol. I was surprised to not see you lose your marbles over it but i like the analysis
I seem to be one of the 1% of people who don't enjoy that 30s fakeout on The Fortune Teller that much. The perfect length for it should be 4 bars, but that really feels like a drop with no drums and sub, and it takes away the hype for the drop for me. But despite that, it's a good EP for sure, and my favorite is White Hot
I respect this fakeout and all but tbh the first time I listened to it, I just thought for 2 seconds that this fakeout was the actual second drop and it was a "fake drop" without any drums at all except on 1st and 9th bars. The fact is, after these 16 bars of "fake drop" it just started to go on the midsection, but then MUERTE started the "true" second drop from a glitch out of nowhere and caught me. Insane fakeout, thank you MUERTE. PS : I respect your opinion, though.
@@theopinon3259 yea i see your point fr i respect that as well, but to me it just took away the energy for the real drop instead of building some hype yk But i can't deny that the atmosphere in that track is insane ngl

IVE BEEN WAITING WAY TOO LONG FOR THIS
Same haha
me when muerte fakeouts
felt the same way about that fortune teller fakeout. i think of it more as an extended bridge, like its part of the buildup

You don't have to react but have you heard of Faux Tales? His music is really underrated and great
you can call it MuerStep
Can you react to Punishment's "Energumen" EP
I think a lot of mistakes happen when the producer doesn’t know how to create dynamics
React to chomp ep
YES
Inhuman x Azel 🤪
The long part in Fortune Teller could be cooler if it was just a full on atmosphere build up in my opinion
