Yea that was pretty dangerous. Giancarlo took one of those to the face we all know what happened in that aftermath. I think Choo was more pissed that an ace pitcher did that in a 6-0 game. Chris Sale isn't some second string starter/reliever.
All you guys saying he's overreacting.. if you have ever had a fastball come high and tight its not fucking fun and can be downright scary. on top of that it was a 3-2 count.
+aviator259 Choo was the most beaned/hit batter in MLB for awhile (last season I think). AND this particular pitcher cause injury by hitting/breaking Choo's thumb the previous season, costing a big part of his season. There's history between these 2. Just saying.
kevin Lee dual flapped helmets aren't for major league hitters unless they are switch hitters. Choo is a lefty who wears a dual flap helmet. It is not necessary and it shows immaturity, too much fear of safety, and just a straight up pussy.
+aviator259 Choo spent many years in minor league and had to wear a double flap because he couldn't afford a custom helmet that his asian head could fit into. It had to be a double flap helmet that kids are wearing. The reason he was still wearing it is he wanted to remember the time he was hungry. He doesn't wear it anymore tho.
aviator259 I would personally prefer to be safe than to look "professional". Choo has already had a season out due to his thumb injury and the stats proves that he is the most hit hitter in MLB. I don't know about you but for me a "professional" is a one who takes care of him/herself and is always there for the team to play at anytime without injuries.

Mega props to the umpire on this one to de-escalate the situation.

choo choo train going at sale at full speed

sale is lucky as fuck that umpire had to body guard haha
Jin Oh You mean Choo was lucky. Sale would've destroyed him.
thegoodrevtim Hahaha Sale's lanky ass would snap against Choo
On a different note, these White Sox road grays are among the most beautiful in the league, and they almost never wear them anymore. Sad!
How true, how true. Thanks, that comment made my day.
BTW, personally, I can't stand the all-black "SOX" jerseys.
all roadz is gray
Very tough to say if his command was off or maybe some beef we don't know about?
+GEE JJ ah ok, that explains Choo's reaction.
At least my neck beard isn't as bad as Sale's
No sale
It just got away but it shouldn’t have. Professionals should not make those mistakes.
If you can't pitch inside without hitting someone, then dont.
How you do that to one of the nicest guys to play the game 😂
His helmet looks like it kids extra small...
no he'll get traded to the redsox and contend and hopefuly win a world seires tiltle. lets go REDSOX!!!
Jonathan Recinos bro 💰 💰💰💰only good in Red Sox I don't like them
This comment is the reason Sox won
Not intentional.
Dude with a dual flapped helmet trying to act tough. Riiiiiiight

Whats wrong with the duel flapped helmet ? Helmets are for safety anyways..
