I pirated all of the phase 1-3 MCU films, and even though it costs me nothing i dont even want to pirate phase 4 or 5. Thats how you stop piracy, make films so bad even the pirates dont want to see them.
I was like this with Star Wars. I loved Star Wars ever since I was a kid, and when episode 7 came out, I saw it in theater with my family. I almost walked out 6 different times, not even taking into account Rey being a Mary Sue. It was bad enough that it made me stop caring about Star Wars in its entirety. I just can't care anymore, and I don't. Sorry the same thing has happened to you.
@@FrostByte_06not sure how this is relevant other than to show that you’re dc fan. What has dc done right universe wise since they started at MoS. They made the suicide squad, two versions of a the same film (ZSJL and JWJL), Aquaman that only made money because of Jason mamoa hype, Wonder Woman that only made money riding off BvS and its supposed importance to the upcoming justice league films (similar to how they used captain marvel between infinity war and endgame.) BvS got hype because of the story it was adapting but did a poor job with the execution regardless. The only good thing the DCEU made was done by James Gunn in the suicide squad After all of that we see the real outcome of their production in their continued universe in the form of Aquaman 2, WW84 and the flash all continuations essentially for the characters that absolutely BOMBED and rightfully so. The only saving grace for dc is literally taking a director that made the entire successful guardians trilogy and their one side character film aka suicide squad and making him spearhead the entire DCU after not listening to fan backlash or opinions until everything crashed and burned Marvel seems to have become to complacent and thought they had he market so now they can throw in woke media and pull in that audience and somehow not thinking that would alienate the existing audience which as shown was not true they lost damn near everyone pushing out mediocre woke nonsense. DC’s problem was trying to catch marvel up by releasing only MoS then jumping into trio film right after to speed run what marvel did with iron man, Thor, captain America and hulk essentially before doing avengers 1 they rushed to get everyone together and set up the notion that they would do solo films after bringing everyone together either via teases or outright in a team film as shown just thinking mashing this all together would rake in loads of money.
I had hope for doctor strange continuing the good mcu movies after endgame but boy they threw that hope into the shitter, after endgame only Guardians of the galaxy 3 and spider man was canon for me, with this trilogy closed and the actors off the project the mcu is officially dead.
@@FrostByte_06You dont wanna say that in the cinematic universe conversation. The MCU used to be good, the DCEU started out on fire and they used gasoline to douse it.
if Phase 4 was like doing side quests after beating the game, Phase 5 was like grinding for battle passes and purchasing microtransactions on a game that has like 2,000 con-current players...
I am sick of hearing that its all going to suck. Guys we have the Hole Alien now. He is better then all of phase 4 and anything from the non cannon Disney "StarWars". He almost made me forget rey exist When future generations try to say how dumb ours was do you want it to be because of rey or hole alien. Lets be real no matter how many holes rey gets hole alien will never hurt you. Hole Alien = Best holes
It's incredible how far the MCU has fallen in quality and interest. What used to be a must-see is now not seen. Remember when the MCU had genuine excitement & optimism before each show or film's release? That's all gone...now instead of "I can't wait to see what they'll do" it's "I can't wait to see how they fuck this up". what a shame...
Disney doesn’t respect: the original material, the characters, the backstory, the lore, the audience, history, morality, men, it’s own storylines, death…
Although I agree, I also disagree at the same time. Instead of having the thought of "waiting for another messed up movie to happen", the only thing I can do is just hear the announcement, don't watch any trailers or read the comments, just wait, and go watch it upon release to see if it's good or bad. As simple as it sounds, I feel like many people on the internet today is on this cesspool to always expect the worst of things everyday, saying things like "it's gonna suck" or "another woke trash", nvm the fact that the movie hasn't came out yet and we don't even know much of it.
You massively undersold just how unlikable Cassie is, and how destructive she is to the film; warping all the other characters to conform to the unbelievable idea that we the audience should agree with her that scott sucks, when we like him and at best tolerate the others.
What they do with Scott in Quantumania is try to use the "Character becomes famous and becomes a jerk" trope. This doesn't work, because Scott isn't being a jerk. After spending three years in jail, and then five years in the Quantum Realm, he wants to be with Cassie. The conflict of Ant-Man 1 was that he needed to prove that he was a good father to Maggie and Paxton, both are inexplicably nowhere to be seen in this movie. Yeah, Scott capitalises on his newfound fame, but it doesn't change his personality. The dinner table scene where everyone gangs up on him is sickening. Hope, Hank and Janet would still be dead alongside the rest of half the universe if Scott hadn't discovered a way to undo Thanos' snap.
I mean is she really any more unlikeable than She-Hulk, Captain Marvel, or most of the other Marvel characters? They’re all unlikeable for the most part
@@bigbruhkingOh no, she is absolutely in her own league. With Jennifer, because she's just as horrid to bruce as cassie is to her father. Carol is just kind of a nothing character by comparison. She's annoying and arrogant, and doesnt have any struggles as a character which makes all the glazing she get cringeworthy, but jennifer and cassie actively hurt the ones who love them with zero consequences, and that's unsalvagable. Whats the worst thing we can really say about like, kate bishop or kamala? they're young and unfunny? Even Riri, who's absolutely vile in the comics, just comes across as average protagonist material on screen. maybe she's a bit cocky? But she never goes out of her way to put anyone down for not being as smart as her.
@@GuiltlessGear I get what you’re saying. But this isn’t on the performances, it’s moreso on the writing. EVERYONE in the MCU now has the self righteousness of Steve without the backstory, and the arrogance of Tony without the charm. So yes. Cassie can be in a league of her own. But if iron heart is as extremely good as it gets, I just struggle to see how she’s head and shoulders below any other characters that have been introduced, in terms of their capacity to be unlikable
The MCU has taken me through the 5-stages of grief. I'm now in the acceptance phase. I know all MCU content will suck (all Disney content for that matter.)
Almost all former MCU fans have. Haven't even heard anybody mention the MCU outside the internet for maybe two years. In general it seems like the only time a movie from most big studios nowadays is decent is if the business people don't notice what the actual artists are doing. Served with a side of much tastier, much healthier older and indie alternatives, of course.
No it's "outside of time and space". That's why the movie follows an entirely linear timeline in something that is clearly no space at all whatsoever☠️
The so-called Quantum Realm didn't feel like what the Quantum Realm should have been. It was supposed to be a place where reality was warped. It didn't feel that way at all.
My opinion phase five MCU : Ant man and the wasp quantumania : awful Guardians of the galaxy vol 3 : perfect Secret invasion : awful Loki season 2 : great The marvels : awful What if season 2 : meh Echo : boring Deadpool & wolverine : very good Agatha all along : decent What if season 3 : trash
@@nellie4621 I think quantumania was supposed to be the first film of phase five and with Kang they dropped any stakes with the ending having him overpowered by ants, I think alot of scenes were reshot so it’s cohesion is probably rushed in the same way of how it builds the story for the next films to follow. It’d be a decent standalone film as it’s visually pretty good from what I remember but as apart of a franchise it’s just disjointed with nothing to build off of
They messed up with reshoots. The focus of Quantumania became more, "boss babe! even the jaded, obnoxious teenager who magically knows everything - and here she comes to save the day!" Gone are the days of actual badass female characters that fought through the plot to earn their character arc. Now female characters are just awesome from the beginning - which means there's no story in the first place. And the non-stop lecturing, jesus christ. Pretty much the same formula in every movie and online series. I am sure Hollywood - MCU included - will learn from this pathetic virtue signalling jerkfest, pull their heads of their asses and realise that they are the last people on this planet to lecture others about "privilege" /s
That "girl boss" scene in Endgame was top cringe and so violently shoved in within a fluid fight scene that i immediately went, "Once Endgame is done, im done" Was not gonna NOT watch the movie, since I'd invested 10 yrs of my life since Iron Man was released. But I knew i was done with Marvel because i could see where it was heading. The only Marvel films I've watched since then are Spider Man (which is mostly Sony) and Guardians 3. Both were ok. SpiderMan was mostly nostalgia bait and an extremely silly ending. GotG3 was sort of good but quite frankly, forgettable. And that was the best of the worst phases since Endgame
That Girl Boss scene was straight up cringe. Capt. Marvel is the most OP of them all, her literal intro to the fight was destroying Thanos' Sanctuary warship. All of the additional female superheroes were useless to the needs of her character in the film, and it stood out from the movie as if it was a literal cringe commercial break for things to come. I'm not even a Capt. Marvel hater, I thought her 'Hello Peter Parker' moment was great, just to segway to that mess. I stopped GotG after 2, had zero interest.
@@savioblanc yeah, I don't get the adulation for Spiderman NWH, when it HEAVILY banks on the past franchise and a redoing of the "Uncle Ben" scene (with the usual redefining "muh gender roles" theatrics). People came to watch the franchise connections, not the rest of the teenage Nickelodeon circus. GOTG3 was just nostalgia again and that also heavily relied on emotional blackmailing. James Gunn did the right thing to at least end it.
I knew that after Endgame, the hype and quality will decline. However, I do not foresee how bad they will drop. It's like they sprinting to the lowest level as fast as possible
Even if it was written the same year, James Gunn admitted to have no clue about what was going on in the MCU at the moment so it would've been good anyway bc he was just gonna write an ending to his trilogy and nothing else
@@Kaplykos He also wrote it under the assumption that it'd be out before infinity war and endgame, so he'd have time to tie off the character arcs in a neat little bow. But since it got released after, one of the main characters was replaced by a random ravager with their face stapled on
GOTG3 definitely stands out amongst the Crapola in ph 5, but there were elements to the movie that were irksome. Like I hate the soundtrack. I don't hate the songs, I hate them in a GOTG movie, Adam warlock was awful, and the furries planet was visually awkward, and the mcguffin chase to help rocket was also kind of awkward and a little boring.
I'm so jaded these days that whenever hollywood announces something to do with a franchise or show that I used to like my reaction is like: " Please don't, just let it die peacefully " .
On one hand, I don't think the Fantastic Four can be done any worse than it already has. On the other, I didn't think Disney could make two and a half bad Star Wars movies in a trilogy (I still give the ANH clone the credit of not killing all hype immediately somehow).
@@Zevox144I thought the Force Awakens was sparkly trash. Left the theaters confused feeling like a whole trilogy of movies were missing that would explain how things turned out the way it did. The EU wasn't perfect but it was definitely more inspired.
@@Atheismo9760You must not know a lot about the F4 of you think the Tim Story movie is the best they can be in live action. That's like believing The Incredible Hulk or Thor 2011 are the best those characters can ever be when they aren't even close.
“Your daughter built a subatomic Hubble telescope in the basement.” Yeah. I am sure it was real hard to do too. Considering it was ANTMANS BASEMENT! It’s not like she had to go far for those Lego bricks. Also. The director comment where he says, “Oh oil don’t read reviews. …I view all the storytelling work I do as a dialogue with my audience…” If you are not reading the audiences reviews then it is called a monologue. Not a dialogue.
I know right? this guy comes off as a pretentious idiot, how are you a big time director but don’t know that a dialogue means there is some kind of back and forth?!? You can’t have a dialogue if you refuse to look at reviews or audience feedback you complete buffoon. The best part is that we all know that he wouldn’t have the same opinion if everyone had loved the movie. He would be reading and posting ALL the reviews in that situation. It’s just so disingenuous.
ONE of the most profitable balls was fumbled in Entertainment to the point where No Fan cares as much as before or downright giving up on the movies and TV shows. Stories just repeat or reboot nowadays.
The thing is Phase Four and Phase Five *could have* been the tale of passing the torch down to less tested heroes, raise their profile like what they did with Guardians of the Galaxy, promote lesser known faces... all they had to do was *not drop the ball.* The ball is approaching the Earth's core.
How ironic that the only three movies post Endgame which have been any good, No Way Home, Guardians 3, DP & Wolverine, have been third installments, which are typically the worst in any series.
How can a superhero, so over powered, she can fly through a sun, have difficulty fighting with such a low level villain? Her power level is all over the place. Basically whatever the script calls for at any point in the story. They wonder why no one can get into this character?
I got a better question: why the hell is it fury's fault that he couldn't find a planet? Wasn't captain Marvel the one who promised to find the skrulls a planet in her movie?
The show invented a past for Fury off screen. Which is a terrible way to go about it, cause it character assassinates him without us being able to comprehend anything
7:40 - to be entirely fair, the guardians were A: Focused on the immediate danger and safety of their friends B: Almost all of them were either trained killers, died already at one point, or generally morally bankrupt and familiar with death. They all also just lived through the snap and such (or died to it) so massive amounts of death isn't new... and they weren't super attached to these people. Like yeah, it was horrible, but they weren't given hours to go grieve about it.

It really is impressive how bad the MCU and all of Disney has gotten. I know it wasn’t over night.. but in 2019 they looked unstoppable and that was true. The ONLY thing that could kill the MCU was Disney. No other studio stood a chance.

Although I agree with you regarding the current state of Disney, that doesn't mean you should discount several decades' worth of movies, because they USED to make good stuff.
Deadpool is the last one I’ll go see just because I have faith in Ryan to deliver. But I am not nearly as excited for it as I would have been a few years ago.
I hated how they treated Ant Man in Quantagarbage. The dude literally saved the planet and they done nothing but belittle him and make him into a joke. This is why I hate modern Disney...
A day after watching this, I stumbled back over the 7 year old Honest Trailers' Russo Brothers' Honest Reaction to Winter Soldier Honest Trailer, that hosted the Russo Brothers. They stated they were big fans of the series, and made it a point to "Honest Trailer proof" their script. Something Kevin Feige and Phase 4+ directors had completely abandoned.
The woman who plays Cassie in Quantumania is so bad in everything. She was just as bad in Freaky and Detective Pikachu and she doesn't have that Gal Gadot, "can't act but she's gorgeous so we all ignore that", thing going for her.

GOTG3 is the only good MCU film or project I have seen since No Way home. It has; -a good villain, wonderfully played, layered, well explained, and not made to say silly lines or be a joke villain. -Quill is not made a joke and gets some good development, with this Gamora actually respecting him and seeing what her other self saw in him by the end. -Rockets backstory is heart wrenching and not brushed aside. -Adam Warlock is well done and portrayed as he should, a god like being who is mentally a child learning what everything is. -Quill coming back to his grandfather is quite nice.
Adam Warlock is a perfect example of marvel not understanding how to rework an idea into a new one. If they planned to have him in phase 2 and he got cut that is fine, but they could have made him a compelling character that could be used in future movies. They didn't do that and are now confused on where to go. It's like they continuously shoot themselves in the foot and it is so painful to watch.
I guess Deadpool will make jokes, and point out the celestial in the ocean and bring up Emilia Clarke being overpowered...that will be the last Disney/Marvel thing I'll ever watch.
I actually watched that one, felt like they actually respected the source material while playing Disney’s little game. Not perfect, but Gambit actually felt like one of the old flavours of characters we used to like, and he is basically new (no hate to old gambit, but this one felt closer to the one that many say they grew up with). I’m hoping the money talks from all of us, give us CHARACTERS rather than NARRATIVES that feel like they are checking boxes to make films.
The purpose of the kill switch is to goad Rocket into Returning to the HE because he's supposed to be the only one who can save him. How he devised such a contingency at such an early stage in his career, and when he never saw Rocket as a threat in the first place, I have to wonder.
I suppose it’s also paranoia/contingency regardless of threat level at the time because there will always be potential for high threat levels 🤷🏾♀️ maybe 😂
I love that he’s clearly using a third party website to watch these movies without paying 😭😂😂 that is just a perfect way to showcase how unworthy these movies are
I really wanna give a huge shoutout to Loki S2 for finally abandoning the phase 4 blueprint of "stoic and superior female version is better, so let her hijack the screen time!", actually correcting their course and primarily make the show about the Loki we know and love again AND in the end tying it together with one of the best character development arcs out of any character in the entire MCU. Was it perfect? Hell no, the Kang variant and TVA stuff were all over the place in terms of writing and they didn't didn't seem to know how to use them a lot of times. You mentioned the camerawork and aesthetic of the show and I agree, but I found the soundtrack pretty great as well. Overall it felt like a candle in the dark for the rapidly dying MCU.
Michael Douglas is 79 years old. Younger than Sir Patrick Stewart, Sir Ian McKellen, Dame Judi Dench and only one year older than Dame Helen Mirren. Dame Diana Rigg was in her late 70's when she appeared in Game of Thrones and stole the show. Older actors only improve with age. I'm 67, and hopefully my best years are ahead of me.
In Quantumania, he fails so hard at being intimidating, it's hilarious. He's just cheesy. Watch his performance in that movie and compare it to Ralph Fiennes as Voldemort in Goblet of Fire. It's the same thing. They're both just cartoonishly over the top.

The only way for disney to "not" completely collapse is if they came out said nothing after endgame is canon and instead reboot and alt universe of 898 or some-shit with other characters.
I thought we were on Phase 6... I like to think that now every time a Marvel release flops, somewhere in CA there's a red alert and an executive starts screaming "OH SHIT! ABORT PHASE! MOVE ON TO THE NEXT PHASE NOW!!! WE ARE SO FUCKED!"
Mfs really pretend that Feige didn’t work on the X-Men movies and made 20 bangers movie after movie. Feige isn’t the problem, as a matter of fact after Endgame he gave directors more control than ever which was clearly a mistake with Taika and Zoey.
I appreciate the unintentional black bars that help me zoom into fullscreen on the weirdly stretched aspect ratio of my phone. Helps me watch without any loss of footage. 😅
What pisses me off the most about modern marvel is just how fucking bland it is. You would think that even though these movies and comics get put through the disney machine that maybe something interesting or cool MIGHT slip into the final product just by virtue of how big their budgets are, but they can’t even manage that. The modern MCU has some of the worst writing in big budget filmmaking, arguably the worst CGI in big budget filmmaking, and Indisputably THE worst action/fight choreography out of any big budget action focused media coming out right now. Disney needs to let passionate, driven creators make what they want to or the MCU will collapse under its own weight in a matter of years if even that much time. Imagine a Blade movie by the guys behind John Wick. Imagine an X-Men movie by the directors of Everything Everywhere All At Once. Imagine what could happen if Marvel Comics lent some of their characters to legendary mangaka like ONE or Naoki Urusawa. Now keep imagining them. Because Disney isn’t going to do anything near that exciting with Marvel for the foreseeable years to come.
Funniest thing about Antman 3 is the fact I know another actor who farted and did a fly by on antman and cassey in a scene. Cherry on top was when paul rudd said " whys it smell like shit in here"
Honestly I find antman 3 to be very accurate if you compare Scott lang to the average MCU consumer and every other character to Disney. It’s a dude trying to mind his own business while a bunch of women scream at him about how he’s not doing enough despite the fact that 1. He literally just want to retire and be a dad 2. He literally helped save trillions/quadrillions/ who fucking knows bc he helped save a literal universe. Tell me your writers learned everything they know on xitter without telling me they learned everything they know on xitter
It goes to show me how uninterested I’ve become in the MCU, I didn’t even realise these were phase 5 properties I thought we were still in phase 4. Hell I didn’t even realise that The Marvels was even a film or that What If got a season 2
Imagine if Middle Earth introduced a multiverse saga, and Saruman opens a drawer and sees 30 version of the One Ring. And some office worker laughs and says "Oh yeah. We actually get a lot of those. Some of the guys use them as paperweights."
My big problem with GOTG 3 is how : >Peter says "stay Drax" and says that to Mantis so Drax can't do a stupid move (for some reason they stay even if they can go at least Drax with Groot and Peter) >They do a stupid move and both with Nebula are in the ship of the High Evo WHAT KIND OF WRITING IS THAT, Peter made a plan and gets the win and this 2 GO WITHOUT REASON AT ALL. I would put "Mantis sense the fear of all the people in the ship so both go to save them" and that would fix this stupid move to put 2 characters in the ship without being force by the universe and the movie or the writer 😂
Had a dude actually tell me to “stop nit picking and enjoy the super hero’s”💀💀 like bruh, beo essentially said “don’t think, consume product, get excited for next product, consume, risen and repeat”
You know, Jeff Loveness was quoted by Bill Murray as 'writing this as he goes along'. He also admitted to never writing a screenplay before Quantumania thirty seconds into the directors commentary.
Loki season 2 is one of the best things that have happened since Endgame. Because it finally focused on character dilemma and arc. The last episode is the perfect conclusion for Loki.
Actually, I find films like 'Guardians 3' and 'Star Wars- ANH' absolutely FACINATING as studies into human empathy (or lack thereof). In G3, we meet some interesting natives of Counter-Earth. The Film actually goes out of its way to make these bit players understandable and relatable... and then obliterates them & their entire world. The Fact that this is shown from a distance makes it much harder to feel the sheer overwhelming horror of the events, because that's just how humans are, but this is compounded by us being told by the Guardian's reaction. They don't care, why should we? And sadly, that kind of manipulation works VERY well. The Same thing applies to Star Wars. An entire beautiful garden world with an ancient history, a core part of the republic. While Coruscant may be the 'Mind' of the Republic, Alderaan is its Heart. Yet because its destruction is done at a great distance, AND Leia acts like her Puppy was killed (Actually, there would probably be more tears if it HAD been her Puppy...) the event is almost immediately forgotten. Forgotten both by the characters and the audience. When I first came across the 'Star Wars is a kid's film' back online in the late 1990's, I found it appalling and idiotic, but that many people could have this view, even after the Genocide of an Entire World, just goes to show how both distance and peer pressure, can make us easily accept and dismiss events that are horrible beyond description.
I stopped doing that when there was a mention in the credits of the live action 'Mulan' thanking the police service that secures a prison for political prisoners.
After watching deadpool n wolverine, id say its a total 180 turn of what disney marvel has been releasing lately. Recommend every marvel, blade and gambit fan watching it

I think Captain Mervel is just unlikable, I'm sure some people do like her but she's just Marvels wonder woman nut with somehow worse acting. In my opinion Brie Larson is just a bad actor, she shows no emotion in any of the marvel movies she's in. Compare her to any other female role and she is a brick wall. And the other 2, Rambo, is just a completely forgettable character. The girl that plays Ms. Marvel is actually good, I like her, she's just written badly.
I agree SO MUCH about Jonathan Majors. Did not EVER get the hype about his performance. He makes the same face in every single scene, in every single appearance.
15:10 I really hate the telepathy guy. His power is basically useless the way it’s shown and he has no respect for personal boundaries when using it. The movie implies it’s involuntary, but you’d think if he lived his whole life with it he’d be better at coping without whining about every stray thought someone has. If I were a character this movie, I’d probably tell him to f-k off after his first scene, but then again I’d say that about a lot of characters in this movie.
The fact the movie made it seem okay and glossed over the fact that Catwoman cheated on Michael Douglas with bill murray…. Like rly? We had to have a sex joke? “I had needs”. Ummm yeah Michael Douglas went on dates but he puts it best. ”nobody could beat you baby”
The fart sounds are priceless, and accurate representation of Disney in the last 10 years just farting in everyone's face, and telling us it's a movie.
To think... All they had to do was slowly build up to the X-Men and Fantastic Four until the FOX rights expired. It was so easy to craft the next ten years of the MCU with Spider-Man and Daredevil doing street level stuff, the X-Men doing international stuff, and the Fantastic Four doing galactic and multiverse stuff (since that's mainly how the comics worked.) Have them all meet up to fight Galactus or something. But no; they had to go woke and now they're going broke.
I reckon Deadpool 3 won't be enough. I barely go back to the first 2. We've had a barrage of films with cameos, groovy soundtrack and lots of quips. Not quite sure why people are putting all their eggs in one basket.
That's why they brought Hugh Jackman's wolverine back from what was the greatest send off given to a marvel hero. With all the hype dune 2 had, it barely managed to collect a little over 700 millions at worldwide box-office. And with Deadpool 3's over bloated budget, I think it will need 700 millions to just break even. And now the situation is such that we cannot really predict how the general public is going to respond. It can easily gross over a billion, but it finishing it's run before breaking even is a real possibility too.
I was done after End Game. Emotionally completely drained. Maybe they did the arch too well, because everything was closed off for me personally and I had no interest in any of the characters afterwards.
I really like GotG3. It isn’t perfect but I still enjoy it. It also makes me angry because it clearly shows that, even these days, the MCU _can_ be *good* if the people making these Movies would at least CARE. For some reason, most of the time they choose not to care, unfortunately.
At this point I'm glad Iron Man died in Endgame, he at least escaped being character assassinated unlike Thor and Dr Strange

I just can't care anymore, and I don't. Sorry the same thing has happened to you.
For me the MCU ended with Endgame.
They should've have taken two years off to plan out the next chapter.
I always knew dc comics is better than marvel
@@FrostByte_06not sure how this is relevant other than to show that you’re dc fan. What has dc done right universe wise since they started at MoS.
They made the suicide squad,
two versions of a the same film (ZSJL and JWJL),
Aquaman that only made money because of Jason mamoa hype,
Wonder Woman that only made money riding off BvS and its supposed importance to the upcoming justice league films (similar to how they used captain marvel between infinity war and endgame.)
BvS got hype because of the story it was adapting but did a poor job with the execution regardless.
The only good thing the DCEU made was done by James Gunn in the suicide squad
After all of that we see the real outcome of their production in their continued universe in the form of Aquaman 2, WW84 and the flash all continuations essentially for the characters that absolutely BOMBED and rightfully so.
The only saving grace for dc is literally taking a director that made the entire successful guardians trilogy and their one side character film aka suicide squad and making him spearhead the entire DCU after not listening to fan backlash or opinions until everything crashed and burned
Marvel seems to have become to complacent and thought they had he market so now they can throw in woke media and pull in that audience and somehow not thinking that would alienate the existing audience which as shown was not true they lost damn near everyone pushing out mediocre woke nonsense.
For me it ended with Infinity war.
@@FrostByte_06You dont wanna say that in the cinematic universe conversation. The MCU used to be good, the DCEU started out on fire and they used gasoline to douse it.

Nope. For mouth breathers maybe but I've never gone past Ultron.
For me it has become "I can't wait to igonre their entire catalogue and watch someone entertaining make fun of it on youtube later".
I remember seeing Avengers twice in theaters; the line was so long it went outside in the MORNING. And now it's this...
The dinner table scene is the worst scene in Hollywood history. It’s literally a group of people kicking an innocent puppy that can’t defend itself
I have nothing but sympathy for Paul Rudd. It wasn't his fault Quantumania died on arrival. He deserves better.
The MCU has taken me through the 5-stages of grief. I'm now in the acceptance phase. I know all MCU content will suck (all Disney content for that matter.)
True
I'm still at the bargaining phase, unfortunately.
@@razorback9999able don’t blame you
yeah Disney content in general. The song that girl sang in the “Wish” movie also sucked too, lyric wise and rhythm wise.
Quantumania felt longer than 2 hours because as we all know:
*Time works differently in the Quantum Realm*
No it's "outside of time and space". That's why the movie follows an entirely linear timeline in something that is clearly no space at all whatsoever☠️
@@melinaalba63 did you watch Endgame lol
The so-called Quantum Realm didn't feel like what the Quantum Realm should have been. It was supposed to be a place where reality was warped. It didn't feel that way at all.
My opinion phase five MCU :
Ant man and the wasp quantumania : awful
Guardians of the galaxy vol 3 : perfect
Secret invasion : awful
Loki season 2 : great
The marvels : awful
What if season 2 : meh
Echo : boring
Deadpool & wolverine : very good
Agatha all along : decent
What if season 3 : trash
Guardians of the Galaxy vol3 was easily the best of all of these
Though it wasn’t a high bar to clear, I personally *loved* vol3
I don't even know what echo is 😭
I don't think Quantumania was awful..? May you elaborate why you think that?
@@nellie4621 I think quantumania was supposed to be the first film of phase five and with Kang they dropped any stakes with the ending having him overpowered by ants, I think alot of scenes were reshot so it’s cohesion is probably rushed in the same way of how it builds the story for the next films to follow. It’d be a decent standalone film as it’s visually pretty good from what I remember but as apart of a franchise it’s just disjointed with nothing to build off of
The marvels was not awful it might’ve been whatever but it’s above mediocre
Can’t believe they ruined Kang. In the MCU movies he’s just not a big enough threat if he got bested by ant man
I'd have gone with Michael Korvac. He has a very human motivation, and it would provide a chance to introduce the future Guardians of the Galaxy.
Well a lot of people thought Ant-Man would go subatomic, crawl into Thaynous and explode him from the inside.
I always knew dc is better
I can't believe that anybody thinks that Kang hasn't always been ruined by design.
After Endgame, I knew exactly what was coming, and I chose what watched in the theater very carefully. Spider-Man, and....that's it.
That "girl boss" scene in Endgame was top cringe and so violently shoved in within a fluid fight scene that i immediately went, "Once Endgame is done, im done"
Was not gonna NOT watch the movie, since I'd invested 10 yrs of my life since Iron Man was released.
NWH was bad, like really bad.
I knew that after Endgame, the hype and quality will decline. However, I do not foresee how bad they will drop. It's like they sprinting to the lowest level as fast as possible
GOTG 3 was written in 2018-2019 so that's why it stands out among the crap phases, it existed before them.
Yup
Even if it was written the same year, James Gunn admitted to have no clue about what was going on in the MCU at the moment so it would've been good anyway bc he was just gonna write an ending to his trilogy and nothing else
@@Kaplykos He also wrote it under the assumption that it'd be out before infinity war and endgame, so he'd have time to tie off the character arcs in a neat little bow.
But since it got released after, one of the main characters was replaced by a random ravager with their face stapled on
The one thing that bothered me about the guardians of the Galaxy is the way they butchered mantis

GOTG3 is the only good MCU film or project I have seen since No Way home.
It has;
-a good villain, wonderfully played, layered, well explained, and not made to say silly lines or be a joke villain.
I thought they were gonna make Vision the Adam Warlock character in Infinity War, but nope he was just as useless as he was in Civil War.

SHIELD is gone bro, they dismantled it way back in Winter Soldier (a huge mistake imo)
@@mattparsons2045 Well not..they got 6 more seasons
@@FULANODETAL yeah but agents of shield isn't canon anymore. You'll notice they never bring up the snap, the blip, thanos or any of that.
@@mattparsons2045 nope It was cannon all slong like Daredevil
@@FULANODETAL they didn't address it in the official timeline tho there's a vague statement implying it might have a place in the multiverse
My big problem with GOTG 3 is how :
>Peter says "stay Drax" and says that to Mantis so Drax can't do a stupid move (for some reason they stay even if they can go at least Drax with Groot and Peter)
>They do a stupid move and both with Nebula are in the ship of the High Evo
WHAT KIND OF WRITING IS THAT, Peter made a plan and gets the win and this 2 GO WITHOUT REASON AT ALL.
I literally binged your phase 4 vids last night. This was perfect timing!
I love how they were building for kang the conqueror but since the actor has allegations they had to pull out the RDJ doctor doom card.
Loki season 2 is one of the best things that have happened since Endgame. Because it finally focused on character dilemma and arc. The last episode is the perfect conclusion for Loki.
Beautiful video, and the ending was wonderful, it gave me a quick breath out the nose kind of laugh. Ggs
Haha! 16:38 killed me! Perhaps I treated you too harshly haha!
Cassie Lang is a *VERY* easy character to hate.
On top of being a cringe industry plant...
Btw it was actually Sean Gunn who voiced Rocket during the flashback scenes.
"My IQ number is the one before slow" 😂😂😂
I refuse to support anything Disney.
I stopped doing that when there was a mention in the credits of the live action 'Mulan' thanking the police service that secures a prison for political prisoners.
0:25 the greatest Seth Rollins clip ever is in an MCU review... I love it.
1:45 I’m sorry but joe Biden is unintentionally hilarious 😂
Well, at least we got Guardians of the Galaxy 3. Sadly that's a diamond in the rough
1:54 Betterhelp, out of all sponsors you choose it?
What's wrong with Betterhelp? I don't really know anything about it.
@@Weaving_Spiders they had unqualified therapists who were negligent, there’s plenty of videos about it and more iirc
@@Lezm Ah, damn.
After watching deadpool n wolverine, id say its a total 180 turn of what disney marvel has been releasing lately. Recommend every marvel, blade and gambit fan watching it
Finally an MCU followup worth watching.
I have an obligation to dislike the video (I like your work) strictly to make a statement on betterhelp, they still can’t be trusted after they were caught selling records of customers to advertisers, a major lawsuit was held nearly half a decade ago because of it.
Thanks!
I agree SO MUCH about Jonathan Majors. Did not EVER get the hype about his performance. He makes the same face in every single scene, in every single appearance.
What's the difference between Cancer and the MCU? With Cancer the pain ends after phase 4.
”nobody could beat you baby”
didnt better help turn out to be a scam?
Never seen a UA-cam ad that isn’t basically a scam
Yes
@@GOLDFISH817tbffff the vpns are actually pretty good usually
I’m so over the multiverse shenanigans..I don’t wanna hear about it ever again.
Multiverse? Avengers? What are you talking about bro!? Iron Man just came out, lets go!!
I was done after End Game. Emotionally completely drained. Maybe they did the arch too well, because everything was closed off for me personally and I had no interest in any of the characters afterwards.
For me, there are only two Ant-Man movies. There is no Ant-Man 3.
W.
The fact that you reference it tho means you know there is.
I really like GotG3. It isn’t perfect but I still enjoy it.
It also makes me angry because it clearly shows that, even these days, the MCU _can_ be *good* if the people making these Movies would at least CARE. For some reason, most of the time they choose not to care, unfortunately.
