@@LittleCozyNostril I can assure you I am not rapidly archiving mp4s as we speak. What a tragic, oppressed environment of censorship and misinformation we have now. I'm sincerely sorry to hear you have to make any changes to this at all.
I'll still make the show exactly as I want, just some images will have black bars and some words will be bleeped. Uncensored versions will be available through Patreon, and a year later on other platforms like Rumble and Bitchute. It is what it is.
@LittleCozyNostril my videos aren't as nice as yours, but similarly, they get better as I go. My first few are tough to sit through . It's good to see such an indepth breakdown of crumbs work, someone I have always been curious about crumb, I mostly only know about Fritz the cat
Hey thanks! Hopefully I'll be able to make some new episodes soon. Incidentally, if you like this show, you might enjoy my new video podcast Podrzebie! It's not about MAD Magazine, but it looks at comics and culture through the lens of the MAD Magazine ethos. www.youtube.com/@Podrzebie
Not that people take it but: Yarrow is overtly psychoactive in large doses 1 , but even at the smallest doses, it heightens sensory perception of all kinds and clears the neural pathways to increase visual and auditory acuity. Yarrow increases energetic awareness and tunes us into what's going on in the surrounding space.
Thanks, it gets better as it goes on I think. The song is Skeleton Rag by The Hoosier Hotshots, but it's an abridged version I found on an old Vitaphone (or similar) short sound film.
I wonder about Crumb's idea that he's expressing a "grimy part of America's collective unconscious." I guess as a guy who grew up in America during the 50s, where he experienced a large portion of what every other kid in his general socioeconomic class experienced, he had much the same consciousness as others. It's the specific family you grow up in, with its mama and papa and their genetic and cultural aspects, and the way you interact with your folks and your siblings, that creates the individual mess you are as you make your way through life. If you put it like that, then what you are is partly the collective and partly family influence, especially if you have one or more weirdo parents. Just a thought. ;)
I think what he was expressing with the "America's collective unconscious" (aside from just the standard hypocrisies of your time and place that you pick up on if you're smart, an outsider, and a reader of MAD,) is that he was mired in the earlier media and culture (like music, art, etc.) of the 20s and 30s that was largely invisible to most of his contemporaries. His parents generation had kind of buried the depression and the war period under the facade of the "Leave it to Beaver" 1950s white christian suburban consumer fantasy. In terms of CANONICALLY CRUMB episodes, I think #7 Whiteman and #13 Angelfood McSpade sort of sum up this idea.
This is a great series! Wish it had more exposure. Maybe Cartoonist Kayfabe can call you in as a "Crumb Expert"...
That's really what I need. Any big comic channel to say "hey go watch this!"
Yowza! I like yer style here. Good content. Impressive editing.
I'm sold.
Thanks! I can only do about 8 things, but I make up for it by doing them over and over again.
Fedora ✔️
Neckbeard ✔️
Overweight ✔️
Trifecta achieved.
It's called semiotics
real American culture. Well done, well appreciated.
I think the energy picks up a bit over the first few episodes.
Crumb is a God in comics
This is amazing. I cannot wait to watch all of these. Keep up the good work.
You're getting in under the wire. Soon I'll be taking these down and replacing them with censored versions so that UA-cam doesn't terminate my account

This is great my friend, enjoyed it!
The series gets better from here
Love everything Crumb, unrepentantly. 😌 Great video!
Really great videos
Thanks! I think they pick up a bit after the first few.
I see you make Beano reviews! I'm actually Beano curious, so I subbed and I'll check it out!

This Is A Great First Episode Of A Great Series About A GOAT
The series hits its stride around episode 3 or 4.
Groovy stuff, but could you playlist old to new?
There is an old to new playlist ua-cam.com/play/PLkZYyAJDZgAymetXARt7X8jmnzKM5U_nU.html&si=Zy9Q9IS-g_6L0UCt
long overdue... great stuff... let's dive into the crumby-verse

Interesting! I've taken many common psychedelics, but I also used to harvest morning glory seeds for the LSA. Never tried yarrow though...
Can someone please tell me the name of the song in the opening?
Pretty good video/series.

@@LittleCozyNostril Thank you very much, im very excited for the next chapters.
@@matheusalves9421 Great! I'm assuming you've already seen the other 18 episodes.
I wish someone will make a full animation on all of Mr Crumbs character, on the Hollywood big screen, i'll be the first person on line.
They did that with Fritz the Cat and he hated it so much he stabbed Fritz in the head with an ice pick... so I wouldn't get my hopes up.
Great videos!
Don't sell yourself short! You're viewing tastes are excellent!
@@LittleCozyNostril haha!
THANK YOU!
Glad somebody had the guts to say it!
Here we goooooo
Who knew these traits can be so natural
Also, i think it sounds like "Euro Stocks" 10:30
Euro Stocks is the under performing French version
Found Mr. Natural un-disturbing as to much Crumb Thought of him as the illustration for Dead's Trucking song and had a t-shirt with Mr N "trucking"
what song plays at the start of these videos
Skeleton Rag by the Hoosier Hotshots. It's a shorter version from a Vitaphone Recording or some equivalent early sound short.
The thing I liked about Mr. Natural was: he was a con-man, but he openly admitted it. That makes no sense, but it is somehow believable.
When we finally get to Mr.Natural part 25 or so, we'll get to see that tension played out thoroughly in Mystic Funnies #1
happy new sub here
Hooray!

it's pronounced "yarrow" not "yarrow"
I knew it!
Thanks for clearing up that mystery!!😜
It’s a freaking flower simple t look it up.
Thanks you are great love Peace Brother
