Wow!!! The idea of expanding the back of the trailer, the electrical and the shower and all the rest of the trailer are quite ingenious. Rodney did some serious thinking and planning!! Well done Sir!!
Great addition with the power slide! I am making a slide out of a different type for my 5x8 V-nose cargo trailer. It is basically a camper top from a 2002 Ranger step side pickup mounted on top of half walls. The front section of the camper top is cut away so it will be open to the trailer interior to create a similar arrangement. It will slide out of the trailer onto the rear ramp door after the ramp door is opened and suspended in place at the same level as the cargo trailer's floor by chains, kind of like a small draw bridge. The unit will move on retractable caster and will also be easily removable so I can still use the trailer for cargo when not using it for camping. The unit will have a slightly raised bed platform for my air mattress. The platform will also fold to the back to use as a seating area when more floor space is needed. The windows in the camper top and rear operable flip up glass will provide much needed light and ventilation while camping too without having to install windows into the trailer itself. Fingers crossed that it all works out!
You have uncovered the native genius of so many regular people, and you have inspired all of us with your own genius though your videos. It is a great and powerful demonstration that everyday people can achieve these conversions. We are not the "masses" but individuals. Congratulations to Rodney, for his ingenious conversion with his powered slide out. Bless you, Deb and Bill, for your work. Bless Rodney and all the other gifted people who have made these cargo trailer conversions. Plus the countless others who have done this who we do not know of. Keep on camping and living!!!
Being able to tilt the solar has been a fantasy of mine. So cool he made this trailer work like this. I love his ingenuity, like how far that drawer comes out.
I have been experimenting with solar panels, and to me the fold up ones work the best and you can always point them to the sun, but when you are on the move they don't charge like the roof mount.
Wow! A slide out on a cargo conversion! Plus, I don't think I ever saw someone put a utility box on the fender. Really cool idea to use otherwise 'wasted space.' This is a really cool trailer for a solo traveler or a couple who wants something nimble. I cannot wait to see the finished product. Great job!
That’s a pretty sweet feature. Would never have thought to put a slide out on a cargo. But I did see someone do it on a bus before. Folding tables are a pretty popular addition to builds. I mean, we added two to ours lol. It’s a really neat build. That’s the best part about builds. Everyone makes them their own. Cute pupsters too!
I love the great ideas and though the slide fascinates me, it is the spring strut for the cabinet that really floats my boat! Best wishes as you complete your trailer.
Love your videos I’m getting ready to build me a cargo camper just to go camping but we have a big 36 foot three slide camper that we live in full time and we love it I have a home base at my sons property with a big 30x40 rv cover I really enjoy watching you please let me know when y’all have a event somewhere I’m Larry and my wife is Mary
Love cargo trailer builds, did my first one in 2017, never even watched a video about them i just wanted a more sturdy camper then a typical toy hauler, something that would last 20+ years instead of 10 or less. Slideout is really cool. I like the toolbox on the fender, might use that idea. My campers will never be done, always a work in progress adapting it to current needs.
"when you do this, don't do that." That reminds me of the following conversation: Patient: Doctor, it hurts every time I do this (demonstrates action). Doctor: Then don't do that!
Wow a cargo slide! Thats a first for me!😮
This is our second walkthru of a cargo with a slide. They are both an engineering feat

He is doing a great job
I love that spring for the hold open. 👍
So simple yet effective. Who woulda thought?
What a great concept. I've seen people raise the roof on skoolie conversions, but not on a trailer conversion. 😮😊
Thanks for sharing 👍
Thank you for watching
Did not want DNA all over the ceiling

We love to see all the different ideas
What a gem of a guy! Brilliant spring idea and humor. Really nice work.
It was fun shooting his video.
I like the build. Good ideas.
It's amazing
Thanks Bill, That trailer is filled with some great and new features built by Rodney!
Totally amazing
Nice looking cargo trailer i like the cabinetry good job. Cargo trailers look better to me than camper trailers.

Are you referring to the cabinet door comment?
