My husband has been truly living on a ventilator for over 10 years. I am thankful for the men and women that paved the way to make it much more common place. I am looking forward to seeing this movie to get a sense of the history of vent users. My husband's ventilator is the size of a lunch box, weighs about 3 pounds and hooks onto his head-controlled wheelchair. We have come a long way - both in technology and attitudes.

Just an amazing, true, life-changing story. Based on 100% real events. If anyone out there still wonders what the word "love" really means, then I am pretty sure that after watching this movie he will know. Know for sure. Don't miss it. And better see it with your boyfriend/girlfriend. It will bring you closer.

This film is absolutely incredible. Extremely moving, loving storyline. A must see.
I found it even more touching that there son Jonathan produced this movie and his mother was closely involved as well.
I just watched this movie. I’m sick. At the end, I was crying so much I literally could not breathe. I think it’s saying something.

Back many decades ago, I knew a young architect (a former soldier) , married with several children, who was struck with polio. He was so hopeful that he would conquer the disease and be restored to the life he had known before with his family. Slowly, I watched him as the disease took over. The last I saw him, I could see the life had drained out of him. He had given up hoping and had been placed in an iron lung. The next time I visited, his hospital room was empty. Being old enough to have known such a person firsthand makes my own loathing of anti-vaxxers and their ilk more comprehensible.
i'm one of those anti-vaxxers with dubbel X, so? What's the connection to this movie? in the future their will be drama movies about MRNA vaccinated people, more then enough stories already.. do some good research and you'll find plenty sick vaccinated soldiers! don't make this movie about vaccination, this is an inspiring movie about love and will power!

Every Man deserves a Wife like Diana!!! The Loyalty, Love, Happiness when she was with Robin Proves that True Love do exist in Past. Imagine Robin 2020's Not a single girl will live with him. Andrew Garfield always makes me cry, I mean his face is literally filled with Emotions especially when he is sad. He was, is & forever will be the greatest Spider-Man ever existed. Its a shame that he does win any Oscar.

Yeah, because Hollywood never spoils the entire story when it's 100% fiction. *Sigh* Just stop to think about it for a second, and you'll realize that the argument defending spoilers on movies based on true events is just ridiculous. A movie is a movie, even a Documentary shouldn't spoil the whole thing on its trailer.
I am defending this trailer, not all the trailers which give away the move. *sigh* If it is based on a true story, it doesn't have any spoilers. It is all out there. Spoilers are mainly for fiction based stories, please try to understand that.

It is now 11:30pm PST in Oregon. I just finished watching this movie. Are you kidding me? I have not seen this kind of acting since
F. Murray Abraham in 1984 (Amadeus) Andrew Garfield was incredible. This should have won several Oscars. Best Actor, Best Actress, Director, and Producer (Son of the main character.) My wife went through all those symptoms just as bad, except for the bleeding through the throat. She had ALS, and she lived at least 5 to 6 years longer than expected. Andrew's facial expressions in the movie were exactly the same ones as my wife. Her laughing, her crying, wanting to die, choking the same way. It was very sad and beautiful at the same time. I told her that she would never find someone who would love her as much as me, and I proved it by actions. She never went to a facility. I took care of her and did everything for her, along with many friends who helped. I loved her through 41 years of marriage, and we stayed faithful to each other all that time. R.I.P My beloved. We will see each other again. By the way, my wife's name was Robin. Same name as Andrew's character. That made it very surreal.

If you watch this movie you can undertand clearly what the world "Love" means. You can see it clearly trough that woman! I have multiple sclerosis in a bad mode and all of my "friend" (they were not friends, I know now) they gone away from me! It's like I have lepra or a virus that they can cought too.. I loved that movie because I can relate and because it's very very difficult to find good people like this woman... Very very difficult!!!

@@annamn3361 OK, but their stories are very different and that's the important thing to make a movie. Cavensish was also an ordinary man and helped many others who were in the same situation.
In addition Cavendish's wife was with him until his end.
@@marianariva1664 I know that their storys are different. The only thing that's similar is as I wrote both were paralyzed and both had a woman who loved them no matter what. Sure their story is different, and that's a fact, but their lovelife was pretty much the same.
