Lol you don't have to, American rice is pre washed, washing it again gets rid of some vitamins. Also depends on the dish needing to be washed or not, I don't wash mine all the time nothing happens.
American rice is typically throughly washed already, it changes the texture a bit for preference but it's not a danger. If its from some other country ya it might be necessary.
