Thank you for pointing out the negative effects of drinking caffeine all the time. Too many educational channels lately have been all "coffee is wonderful for all of these reasons and you should drink it all the time!" but then forget to add in that if you /do/ drink it all the time you don't get those nice extra wakefulness and energy effects because your body has adjusted to its presence and the caffeine just brings you back to normal instead of boosting you a bit. Again, thank you for that bit.
I've had caffeine withdrawl. When I used to drink sweet tea daily, it would only take about two days without it and I would get headaches so bad, I'd have to go to bed. Aspirin didn't help. I stopped daily sweet tea in an effort to reduce sugar consumption. I still have coffee daily though. A perfect cup is still a special experience and enhances certain food flavors so well. It's great with cinnamon toast and apple pie of course. Oh, toasted biscuit with apple jelly. Try columbian with that. MMMMMMMM.
8 years ago when i was a student i was drinking 3-8 italian coffee espresso a day. Now, im immune to caffeine and i can just go back to sleep after drinking one. Also it gave me stomach cramps so i dont drink this beverage for 3 years now.
I drink a cup of coffee maybe 1 to 2 times.. a year. I always hated the after taste of coffee. But it is a quick solution for to staying awake when I absolutely have to.
I used to be addicted to caffeine, I would drink 3 cans of moster each day, but I stopped during summer and now I only drink caffeine after pulling an all-nighter :)
I really can’t see caffeine as addictive. I have a coffee only when extremely tired, about 6 times in a year. There is never an urge to come back to it. It is never on my mind. Just a few days in a row when I use it hoping it will help (it never does) and then back to water/orange juice. There is no inner tug back to it. I really don’t understand people who A: Feel the effects of coffee or B: Need it.
I don't like hot drinks... Coke/Pepsi, I guess, but that's not very often now Don't like straight dark chocolate either No caffeine dependence for me :)
Coffee doesn't keep you awake. It keeps you agitated. You're so wound up you can't get your rest. I recently quit coffee, and I can keep awake just as easily.
I can't stand coffee. I prefer tea. But... Is there a difference? Coffee just makes me feel wired, has a horrible comedown and upsets my stomach where a nice cuppa in the morning gives me a relaxing, slow burning energy that you don't notice wearing off.
I like coffee... I'm drinking one right now but do yourself a favor and buy coffee machine with grinder. It makes huge difference. It's so damn tasty :]
I'm one of those 90% who aren't addicted. I rarely drink tea, coffe, energy juice and I rarely eat chocolate or anything else that isn't sandwiches, pizza, fruit, vegetables or chrisps.
Sandwich247 He didn't say 90% are addicted. He said 90% use it for something. I do rarely eat chocolate, but I do eat chocolate, so I use caffeine. Also I seldom drink coke, which has caffeine in it too.
I am addicted to caffeine, but not from coffee. I drink a lot of diet cola drinks (preferably Diet Pepsi) and it's a known fact that there is a lot of caffeine in these drinks. As regular cola uses caramel to make it black and caramel is not a diet thing, diet cola drinks use coffee instead. I do like coffee sometimes but only if I'm in Italy. Coffee outside Italy tastes like shit and is often way too hot, impossible to drink.
really? i drink coffee everyday, maybe once per week, maybe non at all, i've gone completely coffee free for months at once, no cravings, no headache, nothing at all maybe i've built up a tolerance or completely immune to it?
Greg Foot 21 Footnotes, Man, never get enough science do we. Great video though, you're very enthusiastic in your way of expressing yourself and as a result it is very engaging.
johanne7 a tolerance? i think its quite the opposite, if he can 'see through walls within a few seconds' he's clearly be VERY affected by the coffee. He's just metabolising it very quickly, a lot quicker than someone probably should but im no doctor so what do i know.
sorry coffee dose not affect me. I drink coffee before sleep and wake up in morning but no one better be on the throne lol. meaning it doesn't keep me awake.
I never understood why people go nuts over coffee. But I guess its because they are just drug addicts. Its just a socially acceptable form of substance abuse.
COFFEE. IS. AMAZING.
Very cool! I'll drink to that! And of course I'll drink a coffee!
Ytghtvm
not so amazing at night tho, i just drank a beverage coffee flavored, and look at me, its 2 am here now!
Coffee relaxes me in the mornings, making me chill out before all of the buzz and stress of school. I

You're alright, I like you, you can carry on doing these videos.
Fantastic concept for a video and fantastically presented!
I never got addicted to caffeine, I like it but for no reason I change my taste very quickly, less than a month and between many drinks and foods.
And that's why I drink coffee when I really need it.

They timed this to be released just as I was waking up and sipping my espresso ;)
Here in Italy is launch time, so after a pasta a good espresso is needed

Spectacular! More informational videos about drugs need to be like this and not treat us like idiots. This pleased the drug geek in me.
Awesomely informative video

Andrew Bulman That's the saddest story EVER!!
Well I'm gonna get some coffee.
No, I wasn't craving coffee. But I wanna know, Why it doesn't wake me up? I am sleepy and with fast pulse when I drink cofeee.
Thumbs up if you drink your morning coffee while watching this
epicwarding I'm drinking green tea.
Matthew Mitchell Same.
epicwarding I'm having my afternoon cup.
Coffee's never had any effect on me.
I like the taste, but I never "crave" it and I don't feel any buzz when I drink it.
Coffee doesn't keep you awake. It keeps you agitated. You're so wound up you can't get your rest.
I recently quit coffee, and I can keep awake just as easily.

Good item, those guys in the background are quite the cliche though. What company was it recorded at? Hipster Coffee Inc?
the voice at 6:12 sounds like alex kersten fom car throttle
Where can I get that coffee cup?

Coffee keeps me regular.
Best thing to do with coffee is to never start ^^
DamKaKaDaNi I have no idea how people can drink it. It tastes awful
Gkkiux not, when you put sugar in it
In my opinion the only thing you should be adicted too is water and food.
DamKaKaDaNi ive found air to be very beneficial as well. always take a few breaths first thing in the morning
I don't drink coffee a lot. I love it, but I just don't. And with other things with caffeine I don't consume much either. I guess it's a good thing
does milk affecting the caffeine if they are mixed together?
thank you
What about dopamine? I keep hearing conflicting statements on how, if at all, caffeine effects it.

Why does it have the opposite effect on some people though? That's the real question!

maybe i've built up a tolerance or completely immune to it?

i may get sleepy during the day but thats only because my mind ildes
Wait what. Are they seeds until they become roasted and Then they become beans? Im confused. You heard all the time that you roast the beans..
I have never tried coffee in my life
Coffee seed doesn't do it for me. Coffee bean somehow is much more enticing
UK, New Zealand and Ireland invisible on your map.
Coffee is just not quite my cup of tea.
What even is the little atom thing that comes up with a number.
xXMinniNinJaXx it's footnotes. Check out the vid description for links to more info re whatever I'm nattering about at that time!

Shows a map of "the entire world" which doesn't have New Zealand on it ....
So basically, coffee is good because it's not as bad of a drug for you as alcohol.
That doesnt make it good
im done off for a coofee now
He's so handsome. o.o
took me 5 minutes to realize that's a green screen
I don't believe the 45 minute peak, I can see through walls within a few seconds of my first sip. Seems more like it fades away in 45 minutes
***** Then you probably built up a tolerance to caffeine.
johanne7 True, I get a migraine from hell after a day or so without it
johanne7 a tolerance? i think its quite the opposite, if he can 'see through walls within a few seconds' he's clearly be VERY affected by the coffee. He's just metabolising it very quickly, a lot quicker than someone probably should but im no doctor so what do i know.
***** thats probably due to your metabolic rate.
***** Hi addict.
ROASTED
Can anyone explain why i get diarrhea after drinking coffee?
*sips his daily dose of addictive drink*
mmm... delish
sorry coffee dose not affect me. I drink coffee before sleep and wake up in morning but no one better be on the throne lol. meaning it doesn't keep me awake.
Cool video but, why would you use a green screen and then still use those annoying sounds?
This one was shot on location in the coffee roastery. Downside: the noise. Upside: the smell!
I never understood why people go nuts over coffee. But I guess its because they are just drug addicts. Its just a socially acceptable form of substance abuse.
The voiceover at 6:13 is terrible :D
second?
wenisinchina They cheated by commenting on their own video. Let's say you got first.
Coffee plants, the drug dealers of the bee world.
Coffee is gross.
Coffee is a drug, you are an addict.
