I find Backpackers pantry is above all other freeze dried meals. The stroganoff and lasagna is phenomenal for a quick meal. Mountainhouse is a solid 2nd choice.

I remember having freeze dried ice-cream with marshmallows from mountain house in probably high school maybe 7-8 years ago and it wasn't too bad. Certainly wasnt envious of the dude that had raw eggs in his rucksack!
If you do see this comment chris, what would you recommend as a primary off the grid meal kit?

Producing in America is too expensive. Imagine for example made in Mexico a truck for 50k vs made in America a truck for 100k. Labor in Mexico is cheaper than in America.
