Blue is the warmest color was my turning point too. I didn't know that there are so many girls like me. I'm shook 😦 Anyways, I recently watched "the miseducation of cameron post" and it was great.
“Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe” by Fannie Flagg is my favorite. I don’t recall even a kiss scene, but it is still the most sensual book I’ve read so far. They have a recipe for fried green tomatoes at the end of the book, we loved the book so much that fried green tomatoes with my girlfriend. There is also a movie based on the book.
Elisa and marcela... wow this movie transformed the way i looked at queer relationships, the love scenes showed so much raw passion,i cant watch any other love stories without being critic of the love scenes!

Alexis liked it, she thought it was a little slow but she liked the ending and how it was filmed especially! I (Lilian) wasn’t that swooned by it to be honest, mainly because I didn’t feel tension or chemistry between the two women and that’s always what makes or breaks it for me... but that’s a very personal thing that people perceive differently. I did like the last third of the film the best.
Alexis and Lilian Carol and mulholland drive are two of my favorites films. My friends were like “did you like Carol?? Wtf” so I do understand that maybe Portrait didn’t work for you also gypsy ive felt their chemistry. I wasn’t into French cinema so much before but now I’m more used to the rhythm they have. Lost and Delirious was one of my “first” movies lgtb related. Also GIA (and foxfire because Angelina’s fan) Missed you guys around here and I loved pretty much all your suggestions 💕

Hi girls, loved the video💓 about the tv series i recommend you Skam, which is actually a Norwegian tv series, it obviously has English subtitles even though a lot of countries have made remakes (i’m from italy so i watched the italian one too). It has four seasons and each one talks about a different character, so only the third one is lgbt related but it is so worth it. Also Pose is amazing❤️

Brandi Carlile has been a true role model for me. She's on her sixth studio album now, and though she doesn't specifically write LGBT+ music, she's a true advocate and a lovely person. Her style is generally described as country/Americana, which I'm usually not really into, but she is so diverse she never bores. I haven't seen any 'Survival Kit' videos talk about her yet and I think she deserves more representation! Thank you! :)
Killing Eve has been mentioned, but I'll add my vote. I love it! I agree that Mulholland Drive is an amazing film. Your recommendation of Carol is going to bring that one up near the top of my must watch list. The book (The Price of Salt) was great.

As for books, I recommend Collette and her series about Claudine. Collette was a XIXth century French writer, open about her being bi, which was really revolutionary at that time. The books are something like diaries, describing everyday life and some romances to :D

I'm 63. In my youth, when we were stateside, in a small town in NC, there were two "sisters" who lived together in a house nearby. All I ever heard was that they were sisters, but even as a child I could tell that was a cover story.. that was in the 1960s.

I have a question for anyone and everyone who will read this: why is there a lack of support for LGBT+ youth (kids to young teens) and how can society change this?
I 100% agree there should be): but unfortunately there is still so much homophobia and transphobia, that giving lgbtq+ content to kids is seen as “wrong”. But if I had content like that as a kid, it would’ve saved me a lot of pain.
Yeah a lot of people see being a part of the community as an adult issue. And that like if a kid is apart of the community we aren't old enough or mature enough to "make that decision" even though none of us *chose* to be in the community

I've come across your channel weeks ago and have been binge watching since! Thank you for the fantastic content, girls! Two of my all time favorites. TV shows: "Lip Service", two seasons of what is considered the British answer to The L World (which I adored, as well). Movies: "Freeheld" with Ellen Page and Julianne Moore, a heartbreaking masterpiece, imho. Lilian, I'm a Naomi Watts' fan as well and I watched all the worthy moments 😄 of Gipsy (which I didn't like either) here on UA-cam. Another one with the wonderful Julianne Moore is "The kids are all right" from Lisa Cholodenko who also directed another one I loved, 1998 "High Art". Big love from an Italian in Berlin ❤️

If you want an amazing mlm slow burn romance I highly recommend Red, White, and Royal Blue!! It's more a coming of age novel, but everyone I know who's read it has loved it. It also really helped me when I was grappling with my own sexuality. And the author is coming out with a wlw novel in 2021 which I'm super excited for.

"When Night Is Falling," excellent movie, has symbolic depth and reflections on religion and mythology (not just lust/love). Everyone also needs to see "Desert Hearts" - an older film but a classic.
In this days I'm in to " motherland: fort Salem " tv show , I don't know why but i just like this tv show a lot , and me too i love movie " call me by your name " the ending make me cry and the wired thing it's I don't cry .. it's so difficult to me to cry but i just cry .. love you guys ♡

For younger people or those who like cartoons, the reboot of She-ra has plenty of representation and is quite a fun watch, it's on netflix. It's an action cartoon with a fun setting/story and great characters. (and one of the longest slowburns I could handle)
Slight spoilers, but heres a small rundown of whats there
1. there is a non-binary side character (who is my favorite!)
2. there are two girls who are married to each other and are side characters who show up more in later seasons
3. one of the main characters could be trans
4. one of the main characters has two dads
5. There are a few crushes between a bunch of different people no matter the gender
6. (maybe major spoilers) but the main character has something going on! :D
7. I'm sure there is something that slipped my mind

Most of my immediate family is aware of my sexuality but they aren't really supportive or open to hearing about it, and I'm nervous about coming out to my dad because I want to but I'm nervous. If he doesn't take it well, living with him is going to be so awkward and make the environment more toxic and depressing to live in.
@@AlexisLilian last one (I promise) please do a video on the support (or lack thereof) that the LGBT+ youth (young children and teenagers) receives (or should be receiving) and what society should or can do in order to help the queer kids, because I know that young people who are questioning their sexualities do not really have a voice or avenue because most families dictate the idea/concept that heterosexuality is the end-all be all of life and relationships or they avoid the topic altogether. I do understand that certain religions and cultures come with morals and values but I think it is important for everyone to remain open minded and kids and teens should be given the opportunity to decide what they want for themselves and not be judged for how they are feeling.
I know that anything to do with the LGBT+ community is controversial, and that knowing about it from a young age could influence some people, but I believe that this is something everyone needs to know about so that people of any age can understand and feel comfortable with themselves. I would like to hear your thoughts on the topic and I'm sorry if it doesn't make sense❤
You might like (the musician) Tomberlin. She is really really great. Also, there is this quiet and beautiful movie (on Netflix) called „Lovesong“. Oh, and, for books: A few months ago I read „Paul takes the form of a mortal girl“ from Andrea Lawlor and I am still thinking about it.

Als Teenie hab ich die 2 Romane geliebt..bestimmt schon 3 mal gelesen..das ist hundert Prozent was für dich 🤗
