Nice video as usual, but just a heads-up,
In many hosting email servers you cannot enter the dynamic email address from the form in the "From Email" field, as it will fail auth verification and the email will not be sent. So you must, in your example add info.....uk in that field, and the dynamic email address from the form in the Reply-To field. You will see that when you click in that Reply-to field, Elementor will automatically give the option for Email Address from Form.
Quick Question, something that just struck me.... are the uploaded files secure? The last thing you would want is someones CV or Resume being indexed by google?? I can't see any controls in the .htaccess in the upload folder?
By default they are stored in the media library of WordPress. As long as your site is locked down and no one can access the database or the media library, it would be okay.
However, personally, I would use the email feature and have the sent directly to your local machine as opposed to leaving them on the server. Especially with things like GDPR, etc.
@@WPTuts after testing i can see they don't go to the media library they go to a seperate folder wp-content/uploads/elementor/forms... i'm thinking the best thing to do would be to lock that folder down with the .htaccess file
Elementor "Pro" is the only pro plugin that cannot handle repeaters.
it’s better that you not pay for or use Elementor or Elementor pro because they are an isr-aeli company
Shouldn't this be done more securely, going to a dropbox account or something? Email isn't secure. Really can't get my head around why anyone with good html/css skills would use Elementor.
That's a whole seperate question in it's own right. ;)
I hope to see many more Bricks videos. Elementor doesn't deserve the oxygen you've just given it and probably won't last much longer with the way they are treating their users. The once-great page builder has gone the way of evil and couldn't care less about anything outside of their own selfish, arrogant needs. I loathe even trying to work with it now. Just about anything is better at this point. Great channel but sorry. Thumbs down on this vid. It's not because of you; it's them. Hope you at least got a little spare pocket change for doing this.
I have a Bricks version of this technique coming out later this week. ;)
