How's your WAAS journey going?
Just an idea we use at our agency that works super well, upsell a monthly 'management fee' on top of your hosting fee for all those little fixes and amendments instead of letting them edit. Fulfill any and all needs they have in terms of the site. Either do them yourself in 30 seconds or just hire a cheap freelancer and give them every request directly? This makes you so much stickier and your relationship with the client builds so much stronger because you're always seen as a 'saviour' saving the day when they have a bug or fix that needs doing. Especially, if you fix it straight away when they ask. Some months there's no fixes needed so you make money literally for free! Get in touch if you want to know anything more specific but that's essentially what we use.

Great video, thanks for sharing it. The most important thing for SMMA is to have some kind of strategy (for example I use some boosting tools, like a little bit of Famester here and there, and it really helps massively). The best thing is that clients are not complaining as long as they see good results :)

i haven’t started my agency yet and am stuck whether i should go with this website as a service model or social media marketing. as you’ve said, this is easier to fulfil but most other top-earning agencies are social media marketers. is this model as easy to scale as marketing?

Been watching you for quite some time now as I also was on the SMMA Bandwagon for a number of months but switched my business model to design and development because the fulfilment is so much better and there's no stress! How much do you charge to build the intial website and then how much do you charge to run it every month?
$1,000-$1,500 and I only charge the minimum hosting fee monthly which is around $40. Revisions are to be made, I am only just beginning

Hey Juan, this looks awesome. I respect that you switched because you weren’t liking SMMA.
When I first started my agency I had the exact same thoughts as you - this is way too hard and I don’t like it. I managed to push past that point and honestly am loving it now, even though my clients aren’t getting AMAZING results. Still good, but not amazing.
I feel like SMMA is not for most people because they think it’s just a money grab. It’s not - it’s difficult, but I personally enjoy it and don’t see the point in giving up.
WAAS probably has its downsides as well, but from what you say it seems a lot simpler for service delivery.

Interesting move to Website dev. I’ve been on the fence to add SMMA to my portfolio because of all the moving parts and the churn rate. I was a graphic designer & web developer many years ago, then became a Project Manager overseeing 7-10 contractors at a time building sites, creating ads, etc. I’m in live video production now for over a decade. Thought briefly about getting back in dev game, but brushed it aside to research SMMA. You’ve peaked my interest again on the website dev side of things. Selling web design as a service has been here way before smma lol. Nothing new.
This is not a new model. Everyone i know in Web design charge a monthly fee for maintenance + it would be pretty hard to find a business which do not have any domain or old website.
You are basically a freelancer
There is also no barrier to entry so yeah! Saturation...

Service as a software can be a website and doesn't have to be named differently. All your doing is not providing the clients with other services offered by agencies such as lead gen. Its smart to niche down then offer more as you gain the necessary skills to deliver value to the clients.
just a few questions..do you have a 30day trial? and..what do you do with clients that only want a website...they have their own hosting..can you build and transfer the site..keep up the good work
Are High-Level websites actually quality designs? Or do they suck? I design my own websites run lead generation campaigns and get high conversion rates because I focus so much on the UX/UI and messaging, but it is a lot of work, so I am curious about High Level.

Hey juan, I feel like Smma is equal not harder than Waas as it is harder to get clients in Waas and it harder to keep clients and deliver in smma. I got some succes in Waas model in dec. 2022 but there I is no way to get clients online as most business online has websites and smma is hard to deliver but can get clients as we do now, what do you think?? As a native Turk, I won’t work within my country until things I needed to fulfill by government. No Paypal, no stripe, huge inflation problem etc.

We dont do ecom clients because GHL doesnt work well with those clients, Shopify is better for ecommerce :)

Great idea!! Quick question: why would someone pay 99 usd a month if they can just pay 20 usd with different hosting providers? What’s the main benefit for them?
With highlevel websites they get chat widgets, forms, all leads come into the conversation tab etc
Yeah not all clients will pay 99 a month, just depends on what other features they need, I’ll explain a bit more on my next video for sure
i think its because theyre outsourcing the whole website functionality to you and you are not obligated to tell them how much you pay to keep the website running, you could call it a premium they would pay to have an exceptionally crafted website from you and if they wouldnt be paying you overtime the starting cost would be higher than cca 3k. Its my first time hearing about it but thats how i understood it i have no prior experience in the space other than the research ive done on different business models so far.

Yeah I do this, very very nice and I do also run ads for the businesses as well for like an additional fee but even if they don’t want to run ads anymore they don’t leave me because I still did an amazing job on the website and they still pay me $97 a month for website and seo servies and the SEO services work so well as well. Very very good business model.
