You're a goddamn legend bud. Super stoked to see you back! Must have been awesome to work with David Blaine haha I still hate that portrait mode filming became a thing again but it's bearable for your bits
While there is no denying Vine gave him a huge boost, he already had a succesful youtuber career as FinalCutKing before Vine. One of the OGs of youtube vfx!
This was such a fun and informative chat to see. It's incredible to see how creative minds like Zach's work and operate. Thanks for sharing your process and experiences. Keep the magic going!
I love how incredibly bearable the whole ad felt. It started out of nowhere in a funny way and I love Jordan's personality so I kept watching. The jump cut reference to the previous topic makes the ad blend well with the rest of the video. It was funny and short so it didn't felt too much like an ad 👍
Sorry, even when I'm watching one of my favorite channels such as this one, even if the ad is actually creative and engaging, I refuse to watch and just skip it, even if it does benefit the channel. Sorry, just can't bring myself to watch a frickin ad, nothing against anyone. I just don't like it when people try to convince me to dig into my wallet and hand them my hard earned value-coupons.
I'm so glad Jordan's AD got the recognition it deserved in the comments. Holy sh*t. I would watch a video of you all competing to make the best AD video. And the whole video would literally be an AD... But I would watch it still lmao
I posted this Corridor Crew video idea a while ago but this is the perfect time to repost: Idea: Have the crew compete to create "the best Zach King-style effect". You could have the CG and editors all compete against each other or pair up one CG artist with one editor. And if Zach is still around you could have him judge the videos.
wait, these are full scale productions now? eh, miss the old days where could kinda guess, now its impossible cause its a 20k set, a 30k camera rig and with 50 hired crew. the practical stuff is still cool and all but, the mystery is gone tho, might as well join the cgi fest.
You can see Jordan at the bottom of the screen at 13:09 after the jump cut 😂 I think they did it on purpose for comedic reasons but I was somewhat expecting him to stand up and walk off, that would of been really funny.
Bro, it would be so funny to make an episode where it’s just the regular three guys on the couch and they’re reacting to a really cool and realistic scene but two of the people are pranking the third person by pretending that the scene looks really bad and the third person has no idea that they’re being pranked
Holy smokes I cried. I try my best to sit through the little ad segment, it’s not much but it’s the least we can do when you guys have given so much good content, however, this is the first time I repeated that segment over and over. Jordan’s bit had me in tears!!
Would love to see you guys do the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine episode "Trials and Tribblations" from 1996, where the crew gets sent back in time to Kirk's era, and they integrated the DS9 actors into 1960s scenes.
VFX artists can benefit a lot from studying magic and especially stage illusions. VFX can go even further when combined with SFX and cleverly planned misdirection to tie it together.
The original Zach King vines were literally the coolest thing ever when I was 13 years old. I miss when social media was largely wholesome instead of whatever we have going on today
back then we knew where those communities were. most of the older internet communities just moved on to other things. the wholesome content isn't gone, it just changed and appeared somewhere else. people just change.
Social media was never wholesome. Before algorithmic curation and moderation, every comment section was full of slurs and hatred. It was unhinged anarchy.
Amazing colaboration betwean 2 legends, Zac and Coridor, I really love this. Also I usually skip sponsored content on your videos but this one was amazing, good job guys and Jordan especially.
13:40 haha Motion was so silly and terrible! I was using that, Final Cut Pro and Shake (node based VFX BEFORE NUKE) in my Highschool film class. Then Andrew Kramer and After Effects changed my life. You can see some terrible Action Movie Essentials effects on my channel in 14 yr old videos haha. I could do so much better now
I got a challenge for you guys I am not sure if you have already done it but I couldnt find a video of it being done. So here goes I dont know how but if you guys could somehow find a copy of the original 1.0 or 1.2 Version of After effects I with all its limitations of 1993 I want to see how crazy of a composite you guys could do from 30yo old OG AE....are you up to the challenge???
Have you guys considered reacting to the vfx in music videos? Some great stuff out there like Falling in Reverse (Zombified or Watch the World Burn) or Spiritbox with Ultraviolet, shot as a one take with different frame rates
OK, time to return to classics - Comment on King Kong 33 when they land on Skull Island - where does practical end, with birds flying across screen, or did they just build on top of an island?
I'd really love to know how the animation was made on a UK TV series called "Angry Kid". It's like live action with stop motion. Have you guys seen it?
Get Bill Pope on the couch to discuss the miniatures, SFX and puppetry of Team America! You could then talk about The Matrix, Spiderman, Jungle Book, Ant-man and the Wasp and other movies he's worked on.... 😁
3 Body Problem spoliers... Man, that episode with the ship and the nano-thread slice and dice. Holy hell. The effects were pretty decent for most of the body carnage. Ship was so-so.
The loaded questions single roll of film concept used to be a nature photographer challenge, 24 total shots but the photographers camped for 30 days, so they had to really decide if a shot was worth it.
Can i just say that spiders are animals not props. I get the effect but it was surret excruciating and anxious for the spider. You wouldn’t have a dog in a relative smal space for an effect. Then you shouldn’t use a spider in a relativley small space for an effect. They are animals just as any other, some of them are way smarter than you instinctually think…
Awesome video, very insightful. Zack is a true legend illusionist at his game and his videos are so creative and amazingly cool. Thank you guys and look forward to the next collab!! 🤣🤘😎👍🥳
I like the commentary on using maths in art. It reminds me of an old saying one of my teachers used to tell us: "Art is a rigorous discipline whereas science is about rigorous creativity."
when i first started watching corridor, back when it was sam and niko, wren started showing up in more content and I felt similarly. but the more I watched I realized that his over-the-top personality really is the most authentic version of himself and my opinion of him changed
You guys should react to Shogun next! I noticed some great effects, both practical and CG. Two that come to mind are when the guy in the village gets his head shockingly sliced off early in the show, it looks so real! Another one is when a bunch of horses are blown apart by canons. The show is on Hulu/FX and it's actually amazing. Would be awesome to see you guys break down some scenes!

I know this vid isn’t about (guy) Jordan. He’s on ad duty. Regardless, old Jordan would have so much to say to young Jordan. I mean, he’d beat him senseless metaphysically and just normal physically. Roundhouse. Mop the floor. It’s OK, Jordan. You can’t beat yourself. You never could, but you will in time.❤️
music videos react - Coldcut - 'The State We're In' and other coldcut vids worth a mention. Also Chris Cunningham music videos, truly amazing videos with aphex twin, squarepusher, madonna, bjork etc. Also The residents had some weird and wonderful vids too, 1 minute shorts and some old cg stuff - just a suggestion :)
How is it that you guys haven’t covered Spawn?!!! Animated Series & Live Action movie… great job on everything you guys put out, but C’mon… no SPAWN? Hope you’re able to get to it. Big fan.
Please do a review of 3 Body Problem, episode 5 ‘Judgement Day’ - approximate 28mins in. Trust me, you won’t regret it! If it’s not on US Netflix, it’s on UK one for VPN.
You guys should do the ABBA VOYAGE live show on London. Stunning CGI youthification of the Swedish pop stars. A lot of it really looks like they're performing there in front of you!
Corridor Crew, do you know how the TV show on Netflix "Dance Monsters" in Runtime project an animated Avatar on stage with reflections lighting etc such that the Judges don't see the original dancer? And especially when they reveal the dancer?. Are they using projectors of some sort or is everyone acting?
Guys, I don’t know where else to go with for this. PLEASE DO WEIRD AL’s REAL OR CAKE HE JUST DROPPED. I know it must be VFX but it’s freaking me out 😭😭
Hey @Corridor Crew! The Slo Mo Guys just released a video recreating the Superman Returns gunshot to the eyeball with a steel eyeball and I was wondering, with all the knowledge that was learned from their testing could you guys make a new, better version of the shot in Superman Returns!??
The point on the miniatures section I think is huge. HONESTLY, if I saw an indie action film, where they cut to miniatures for all the driving segments, I would not be upset at all. If it is consistent, it becomes part of the style, kind of like the old Godzilla films etc.
A pleasure to be back on the couch with you guys!
I am here so no one got a say: "One like and zero comments? Let me fix that"
35 likes and 1 comment? Let me fix that
You're a goddamn legend bud. Super stoked to see you back! Must have been awesome to work with David Blaine haha
I still hate that portrait mode filming became a thing again but it's bearable for your bits
Thank you for all your amazing videos 🎉
Is there a shot of you anywhere where you don't have your mouth open?
Ok that squarespace ad with Jordan was awesome and funny. Best one yet.
13:09 after the ad you can see him just chilling at the bottom of the screen after the jump cut 😂
Lol😂
I was coming to comment this. SO FUNNY
@@ShannonnrJUMPCUT! oooh that hurt. 😂
I'm glad im not the only one lol hes too funny
Zach King was one of few to carry Vine, and then made a massive and respected career after its shutdown. True legend
While there is no denying Vine gave him a huge boost, he already had a succesful youtuber career as FinalCutKing before Vine. One of the OGs of youtube vfx!
I always remember prozd more. :P
He was pretty well known before Vine :)
Jordan needs to do every sponsor, this is one of the best ads I've seen in UA-cam
"'Ah, it didn't work!' Is what I would say if it didn't work" is one of the most banger lines I've ever heard
I was thinking the same thing
I was about to write same comment then I saw yours 😃
It's giving Vsauce energy
still doesnt make me want to use squarespace, but its a cool add
Absolutely wild that I can be watching this chilling on a Sunday morning and my name pops up 😆
Not Jordan just curled up at the bottom of the screen at 13:09 😂
XDD
Embrace the jank;-)
Best end to a advert I've ever seen on UA-cam
Haha I didn't even notice at first
Good catch lol

13:13 im dying of laughter, that butt sticking out is perfectly funny.
yeeeah
Best ad in a while! Actually enjoyed and watched this one in full!
I agree!

@@barnacleboi2595normally I would agree but this one was good.
That was, legitimately, the BEST ad segment on this channel yet. Hilarious
12:55 wow this is probally one of the most elaborate ads i kinda love it, feels good.
I'm so glad Jordan's AD got the recognition it deserved in the comments. Holy sh*t.
I would watch a video of you all competing to make the best AD video.

Dude that Ad was goooood - more Jordan ads!!
I think its time for another VFX of Bollywood episode.

For the first time i’ve seen the ad to the full length on Corridor channel….just loved it and the video too of course🖤
I always watch full length if it's Jordan, he's hilarious haha

Omg the square space ad was so insane!
90% of these comments are about the ad segment. Hilarious.
I just watched the new Road House and the final fight scene y'all definitely need to watch. So much unnecessary jank. Please review it!
be honest, who else spent the first 15 seconds waiting for Zack to disappear into the couch?
Zach King is the one who mustve taught my dad how to disappear
...why?
VFX artists can benefit a lot from studying magic and especially stage illusions. VFX can go even further when combined with SFX and cleverly planned misdirection to tie it together.
Another great episode, I had to comment because that was the best ad I've seen on UA-cam. Jordan is hilarious 😂
I am loving that Jordan received faaaaar more accolades than Zach. IMO CGI magic is just a step up from TV edited magic.

The butt sticking up after the cut from the ad is priceless
You can tell Niko is trying not to laugh at Jordan "hiding" on the floor

Can you react the Kate Middleton conspiracy pictures and video?! We need expert opinions
It may end up being a website exclusive, but please take a look at JR Bourne’s death in 13 Ghosts. Wren’s reaction alone would make it worth it 🫡
Next time you do a UA-cam vfx shorts makers episode, feature OwlKitty.
I watched the whole Squarespace segment just because Jordan is such a GIGACHAD
The ad when jordan tries to disappear was the best part! Jajaj
I honestly couldn't tell it was a different woman in the Selena clip.
