Thanks for sharing your kit. It's clear that you'd rather be outdoors, but really sensible to stay home at the moment.
Hope you and your loved ones stay healthy and we're all back out enjoying nature soon :)

As a Nikon shooter I love my D850. My main lens is the lightweight 500mm/f4. Definitely a lens I can hand hold all day. Eagerly awaiting a pro Z camera and lightweight prime like a 400mm f/2.8!! Great video, thanks for sharing!!

A Sirui sales rep at Imaging USA told me they pronounce it "soo-ray". I've got one of their carbon fiber tripods and ballhead and monopod. While I prefer Really Right Stuff, the Sirui products are nearly as good and certainly more affordable. Like you I've also had a little trouble with one leg on my tripod, probably due to sandy water intrusion, but it cleaned up nicely. I enjoy your videos. Very few of us will ever be able to visit the locations where you go, so please keep making content. Thanks!!

Jerry thanks, Jerry! So glad you’re enjoying the content. Like I had mentioned I was incredibly impressed with Sirui, and I’m almost positive the malfunction has to do with user error. Thank you for clearing up the name debacle 😂 I’ve been making a fool of myself trying to pronounce it correctly. Lol

Nice video! Ive been a fan of Lowe pro gear for a long time until recently when I think they just just have become lazy. So when it came to getting a bigger bag for my tele lens I got a mind shift gear elite 45L. It has a great waistband and shoulder straps. Opens at the back, has tripod slots at either side and the back. To me it’s as nice on my back as a high quality trekking pack. Spec wise it’s more or less the same size as the LP pro trecker. It’s also about 100$ cheaper at least here in Sweden 🙂

Brandt Bennett thank you! Definitely a bummer, but it’s not worth the risk, especially to those outlying villages that are secluded. Hopefully we’ll make it out there next year. I’m glad you enjoyed the video though!👍🏻

Hi there are firstly I you are are safe and well with this coronavirus and your family as well.
This is a great video that you have done and you are some great videos and also on your channel that you are starting with some top recommendations and I love your setup.
    I cannot afford the 400 F 2.8 or the 600mm F4 at the moment.
I am just wondering why your choice of binoculars for the Brand and 8 x 42 is is and why you choose those at 8 x and not 10 or 12 x.
Saying that I have just recently bought some Nikon monash 5 which I am really happy but interested in for the people binoculars to and vocal range.
My reason for choosing their Nikon was the ryness of the view when looking through them.
I am just going to watch the rest of your videos on here ear meanwhile take care stay safe and and look forward to your reply shortly and maybe one day coming over to Alaska which is one of the places in the world with I have always wanted to to camp out and photograph the bear catching a salmon this is one of my dreams I'm hoping we'll come true one day kind regards.

Im sure you have found this but I have the same exact bag and where your tripod sits in the middle of that bag there is a pouch that comes out at the bottom of the bag and the legs or leg of the tripod slides in so the weight of the tripod doesn't pull you down?

Hi Cameron. Great video but as already said I bet you’d rather be outside.
I’ve been watching the progress of the Coronavirus & America has really been hit hard so hope both you & your family stay safe & manage to get through all this. Take care mate. Mark 🇬🇧

Which tripod did you buy to replace the one that crapped out on you?

There are many good to great backpacks out there, but if you've not checked out Shimoda bags, you might want to. They are designed by photographers for photographers. (I am not in anyway affiliated with the company). I own an Explore 40 (wish I would have bought a little bigger one now). They are comfortable to have on your back, have a place for the tripod and completely adjustable. They are not inexpensive but as you say, "buy nice or buy twice". I'm guessing from your kit that you will want to look at the X70. Absolutely love your content, keep it coming. I'm jealous of your "backyard"!

    • @brandt_bennett
      @brandt_bennett 4 роки тому +1

D Smith I do agree. Shimoda makes a good bag! They have back panel access so the straps won’t get dirty or wet. If you do go with the Shimoda 70. You would need their XL DV core unit. That’s the only one that would fit your 600 f4 without camera body attached. (from what I can tell, I don’t own it).

    • @cameronroxberry7014

I’ve been eyeing Shimoda for a while now, I may just have to take your advice and go for it! Really stoked you’re enjoying the content. Hopefully when this is all over we can get back out there just in time to chase some bears!

Hey used to have similar tripod from same brand, went to more solid one, but anyway this should be easy to fix by cleaning had it several times, look at this video:
    ua-cam.com/video/JxFBnZSU2HE/v-deo.html
I prefer the more stable tripod now from for example: Benro Combo Series.
Good luck & keep safe ;)
