Awesome love the rocks, course looks awesome dude watching 6:46 AM Friday, July 26 got to head to work. I’ll catch the rest later until then. Peace and chicken grease😄👍👍👋👋😎
You are correct certain Axails have a nice slow crawl with good drag brake I have the SCX3 JLU & it’s one of the few Crawlers that I haven’t replaced the electronics. I also have a SCX2 Honcho also that has a good slow crawl & I also have the SCX3 Older Bronco & the electronics where terrible especially the drag brake or lack of. When I got the JLU I noticed right away it was a good Crawler I have the dig hooked up but I don’t use it much. The longer wheel base like anything has its good & bad traits but really the only bad maybe the tipping aspect but everything else is solid & the clearance definitely makes for smoother lines you can see the Phoenix go up not as pretty as the SCX for sure. My JLU can make its way straight up almost anything especially chunky rocks but it’s not very good on side hills but you just have to adjust your driving & remember it’s a trail rig not a LCG rig. Being we all love to just see our rigs crawl up stuff I recommend the Newest Redcat Fusion it’s well priced & even stock is just so fun to wheel around & amazingly capable. Good to see the family out it looked like a nice quiet session.👍
Thanks CC, seems we have similar views, I do love to get out and drive more the have to overhaul, and currently adding to the back yard course is doing constant driving and testing! More cheap truck challenges are coming.
Great video Gerry, when your talking performance straight to portals, the portals just simply have that clearance advantage. For me in these lexan bodies rigs that are kinda out of scale for me after running super scale hardbodies I prefer portals in most these style rigs I mean that's what they were design intended for anyhow. We've been running on my newly assembled coarse lately and the portal rigs absolutely kill the straight axle stuff even performance minded builds with straight axles struggle. Anyhow great video as always man enjoy watching Rc brother 👍. Oh and nice coarse ya got there
Thanks buddy! I have always felt portals are a cheat but it does beat buying tires for clearance! It does make it hard to build a course to run both with equal challenges.
Live your dogs dude!! I find on boulders can’t beat the portals. But on tire hanging and extreme sidehills etc, straight….great video!! Yeah hot as hell in Maine too!!
Hello again my brother, another good video. I have been watching your channel for years ,I am working on my channel and trying to get it to grow.Your channel has been very helpful to me over the years and especially now ,,please brother keep up the good work! If you has time check out the gen8 transmission upgrade it would work. Wonders for you rig. !
Nice obstacle, love the puppies, happy belated Father's Day! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks so much
That's a hefty pile of rocks! Nice crawling and the pups are quite well behaved.
Had they not been free don't think I would have got them! Pups love it for some reason the keep laying on the top!
In the battle in my head between scale accuracy and performance, Axial keeps making peace.
So true axial is still doing pretty good 👍
Love the rock trail set up
Thanks mike,, slowly getting it built up

Oh yeah, and I will always prefer straight axles.
Same here, like the challenge!
