Just searched his guy's name on sharkscope, and he never won that much money in any pokerstars tournament. He won 13.88 dollars in that KO tournament, all the other ones he participated in were just tournaments were he didn't make the money. He is full of shit.

Only gamble with money you are prepared to lose, write off your stake as 'entertainment' money when you sit down.
Best advice I heard was "Work out how much you would spend in a Pub drinking for a night and take that to the table instead and don't exceed it"

@@behradbavarsad7423 Only a few times. Don't really trust RNG software, too easily manipulated. It was usually cards on a table in a Casino until lockdown & travel bans hit.

@@behradbavarsad7423 That's both a blessing and a curse. Online is the only way for you to play then but at least you won't get dazzled by all the glamour, buzz and slot machine noises :) My first time in a casino was very daunting just for those very reasons.

Thanks for teaching me Texas Poker again, I used to play it as a kid but forgot now as an adult. One question, do I have to show my hand at the end of a game if I have been bluffing all along? Because this guy, the last one left standing, got angry because I didn't show him my hand when he folded.

Yeah if they fold you don’t have to show but if everyone goes all the way you all show
You need to understand a lot more about poker before diving in like that. Position plays a big role in how you bet and also take into account online players use HUDs that can see your stats, you would have been a giant flashing light to everyone and classed a 'fish' ripe for the gutting.
You can win a lot in online poker but you really need to dedicate yourself and spend a lot of time practicing before you even drop a cent on a real game.

As someone whos played poker professionally for years, this ending seems very fake. Just the very short explanation alone of how you went from $52 to $1000 is sus. Sure it can happen but its unlikely in less than 20 hours... especially when you went from $12 to $1000 in less time than that. The biggest hint this is most likely fabricated is your story.
Sure, your best shot at achieving this would be winning a poker MTT(multi table tournament) but even doing that, with only $12 you would have to win one or come in top 3 to reach $1000. It would have to be a large field as well and this would take close to 10 hours.
In the video youre playing whats called a PKO(Progressive Knockout) where the bounty is increased based on the number of players someone knocks out. Based on what is shown and what you have in your bankroll, its a very small PKO. Youre shown only winning .85 cents when you knocked someone out. In a PKO, a large part(usually half) of the money is in the bounties, meaning in order for you to have even come close to a $1000 payout, you would have had to WIN this tournament, OR knocked out a unbelievable amount of people. Both situations are very unlikely
Another bit of reasoning why you lied about this is because it would have been VERY exciting towards the end doing this, all the knockouts or getting closer to a final table(you would have HAD to final table to win even $500 for this tournament) . It would be hard to believe you "forgot" to film it. Part of what makes mtt's fun, especially for new players, is the excitement of running deep, making the "final table". Would have been the best part of the content for this whole video if you did this. There is enough time and flashy effects the sites do when you make the final table, you not finding the time is hard to believe.
Your statement about being "2nd" at one point means very little-nothing in a tournament with over 600 people left. There's SO much play left its silly to even mention this. The blinds didnt even change in the time you dropped down 7 places...
This video can fool someone who knows little or nothing about poker, which is fine and all, I just wanted to point out that its most likely a lie. Some in our poker industry would argue its good advertising, even though its false hope you're giving, which would be part of the argument against. But also I would argue that its an insult to those of us to play for a living and someone like you can just jump on and make it seem easy for the sake of your UA-cam channel. Would prefer to see honest content, failing isnt going to drop your viewer count, showing reality is what people prefer. Some would even prefer watching the pain of loss in poker.
That all being said, looks like this channel is dead and I'm just bored wasting my time writing out personally thoughts. 😝😝😝

Yeah very bed bankroll management there, large field tournements are the hardest format of poker to beat as a beginner because the variance is so high, would have put way more study in aswell but good video none the less.

The one thing that keeps me from playing poker for money is the fact that my consience wont allow it, since I know that I am taking away money from others and maybe even their families.
I had a gambling addicted father when I was growing up and I know that one of the "players" I take the money from might be taking the money from their families, and I don't want to be a part of that. Dont over do it my friend stick to one format bcuz they both are different games, either play cash game or tournaments, for example if u wanna play cash game u need at least 25 buyin for the limit u planning to play let say u wanna grind 5$ nlhm you need atleast 125$ bankroll so the variance wont effect u, for mtt (tournament) u always need 100 buyin atleast to play it, specially at micro giving how big is the field , sometimes u can lose even with AA , that beauty if the poker.
Remember poker is a marathon not a sprint, u cant just jumping in one week and hope to beat the game.
