I have a 2nd generation wired camera and it needed to be plugged in while being reset. Only then, I could hear the chiming sound and blue light appeared
It needs to be connected to power while holding the reset button for about 15-20 seconds you will her a few tones the light will turn blue when factory reset & ready to set up. I spent like 3 hours trying to figure this shit out 🙁
Your the best. Is there anyway I can get this camera to appear on my nest app with the rest of the cameras instead of this one camera being on Google home and the other 5 cameras being on nest?
True Hero!! I have spent days trying to fix my cameras. Nothing worked. The house across the way was broken into today and they asked for camera footage
That was the most important thing which is missing in this video. I tried multiple times and it didn’t reset until I thought of giving it a try with the charging cable plugged in and camera switched on
These cameras are the stupidest thing ever, I was setting up new Wi-Fi for a client and it turns out you need to factory reset the cameras to put it on a new wifi. So you have to get a ladder to reset them? Idiotic design, get a real camera system at half the price and twice the quality!

Thank you Brother. I was struggling with this all day. I was at my wits end. You explained this 100x better than google themselves. I am in your debt.
You will hear a tone when it is factory reset. This was not factory resetted.
Worked perfect, without being connected to charging cable. Thank You!
You're welcome!

Thank you for sharing day info.
Yes, incorrect, you must have the camera plugged into the mains with its charging cable

So how do you actually reset it? I can't use the app to do it and I've been trying for hours!

What about if it’s not installed
What happen if there's no wifi option, and shows error?
Only if it was that easy
It’s not easy. Neither is it so hard
