What a wonderful interview !!. Thank you Harsha for your contribution to cricket broadcasting. Spoken so well, no aaa s, no hesitation. Excellent language skills. Master class.
Things I learnt: 1. Have your stats with you. Go with the flow. 2. When pictures say more words can be less. The magic of pauses comes with understanding the situation. 3. Unrelated criticism in social media is the result of purposelessness. 4. With practice comes confidence & hence slowing down. 5. Stay relevant - Understand what the audience knows. 6. Respect is crucial even when you don't get along for professional relations. 7. Double-check your fact. 8. Humility is crucial.
Well done mangalam…! That was a great interview…! This is Rakesh, commentator. currently with starsports Telugu ( I was one of the panelists for the world cup final the debate which you hosted)
I work in broadcasting, and while it may not be necessary to mention, everything he discussed about broadcasting is factual. What an insightful interview! One of the best in the business. #legend
Dear Harsha, I am scientist who loves cricket. I really love your commentary. I am waiting for the day you start your passion of taking about science. I enjoyed " The paradigm shift" podcast series. Thanks for all the good work.
WoW! What a long format interview! It’s been ages that I’ve consumed such a brilliant content (in real terms - what an insightful interview!)…. Thank you! Although not as grand as it is today’s day and age of broadcasting, I’ve been the other side of the earpiece and what Mr. Bhogle spoke about is real masterclass for every broadcasting student! Thank you once again for bringing such a well constructed‘Dreamliner’ as he puts it in the interview. ;) Would have loved to hear unedited version too, as I suspect there must have been some pearls, that may not have made it to the final edit! Nevertheless, it was a treat to watch!
Even you are a human marvel Harsha. Your understanding of the game and your ability to articulate the game proves that commentary is an art supported by the science.
I never thought this much of efforts are behind the commentary I used to think they just sit there talk to each other and blabber in mic about stats that they have on some paper
Last 10 years any interview i have seen of Harsha... 10 minutes are always spent on Sachin's retirement test match & his experience of commemtary that day.
I always had a feeling that there is a delay in the live action and what you see on tv, by at least 30 seconds. This gives the commentators a heads up on what to comment on. TV viewers don’t know that.
As in the movie dialogue, A good question deserves a good answer 🥳🥳 excellent works both of you 🫶🏻🫶🏻 & Harsha sir the more and more I hear your voice I became addicted to your voice ❤ the tittle voice of Indian cricket suits you better than anybody else at the moment 😊
But its more interesting to listen to a summariser who can call say a ponting Or ravi thats why india do not have great commentator except ravi truely speaking
Can this go on? Why'd it have to be only 45 mins. Just in awe of how beautifully harsha can articulate his thoughts! Reason he's the voice of cricket in the world!
Please mention Interviewer name as well in the description.....he did a wonderful job....intelligent questions and actually letting the other person talk....@Beer guy pls take notes and kuch seekhle...
He already has a podcast called ‘The Paradigm Shift’ on artificial intelligence and neural networks. This was in collaboration with Microsoft. It’s on Spotify.
Why bhogle off late always try to woo Power influential cricketers..is this something to do with his feud with that pathatic Bachchan or that arrogant Kohli because of which he's losing contracts and he kept running to that coward Bachchan's house for apology.. because that coward didn't like him praising foreign cricketers on air? Is Bhogle too scared to power centres of cricket here in India to lose privilegedes?
What a wonderful interview !!. Thank you Harsha for your contribution to cricket broadcasting. Spoken so well, no aaa s, no hesitation. Excellent language skills. Master class.
Can hear this man speak all day!! The voice of cricket on and off the comm box!!
