Hi Doc, I’ve had cellulite for 40 years and found an effective, at home cellulite removal treatment worth sharing. As a PhD researcher I read up on cellulite and logic made me combine information about the fibrous bands and massage BUT I massaged my thighs with Baladacci silicon cups (like the glass ones used in remedial massage but flexible). The cups lift the skin as they massage. I used coconut or olive oil as a lubricant (mineral oils deteriorate the silicon) and rubbed the cups around my thighs for a few minutes every second night and it worked! Within four weeks my thighs were smooth and without cellulite bumps for the first time since I was 15. I bought the cups years ago to massage damaged shoulders and Baladacci information said the cups could be used for cellulite but I never tried it. I was finally so sick of my saggy lumpy skin that I tried it last summer and at 55 was happy to wear shorts again. It really did work and I will do it again next spring in readiness for summer clothing. Hope this helps even 1 person. It hurts a little but gradually breaks the fiborous bands and I never got bruising 😊

      @bc8964 Місяць тому +6

I imagine chemical sunscreen would be more effective because it works by penetrating into the skin, whereas physical sunscreens sit on top of your face and so can easily sweat off.

    • @meow3711

In a highly humid setting, people often avoid applying makeup and skincare products in the morning due to concerns about their sunscreen melting and potentially causing breakouts from sweat and humidity-induced clogging.

I have stretch marks only on my tummy area due to cushings syndrome, I started getting them in my very early 20s, I havent been able to completely eliminate them, which is fine, im not actually that embarassed about them, but about two years ago i replaced the body cream i was using with a retinol body cream and it actually made a difference for me. theyre not entirely gone because that would be impossible for scaring but the apperance is greatly reduced, they are pretty much the same colour as my skin tone now; the body cream is by "The Solution" and called Retinol Smoothing Body Lotion.

    • @rosemary5005

Damn Vogue magazine. You know the whole cellulite thing is their “invention”, right?
I bought (an expensive! It was from Dior, called Dior Svelte, so it wasn’t cheap either… ) anti-cellulite cream for the first time the summer when I was fifteen about-to-be 16.
I had anorexia and bulimia, chronically ill from either the one or the other, throughout my teenage years, until I had my son at 18 and I’ve relapsed in adulthood as well.
I doubt that I ever had cellulites as a teen (and certainly not to the extent that it was a problem worth treating) but after I’ve been pregnant with my son I had stretch marks all the way from my 😺purr factory😸 and up to navel. And some on my breasts as well. And this was really eating at my self esteem - which already was pretty much nonexistent but NOW, my self esteem definitely was on an extreme deficit level.
I haven’t been on a beach as an adult. I haven’t been on a bath house. I haven’t gone swimming since I was 18 years old.
Please please please, don’t hate on your body! ❤️‍🩹 Your body does great things for you and it works so hard every single day and it deserves all your love and respect that you possibly could give it. Don’t forget that!
Cellulites are a myth that a stupid magazine made up in order to make women insecure about their natural appearance and doubt themselves and that way they would be easier for the beauty industry to sell their products to.
      Don’t fall for it!

It has taken me decades to accept my body, cellulite, and stretcmarks (puberty and 3 pregnancies). @@blueseptember2174 I went to Tijuana, Mexico. Great surgeon (not all docs in Mexico are butchers as the media will make you believe) I was referred to this surgeon by a surgeon in Los Angeles. Cost in Los Angeles for a mommy makeover is incredibly expensive, plus Latino surgeons (Mexico, Colombia, Brazil) give a more hourglass result. I started off with a regular tummy tuck incision but after one recovery, there was still some excess skin folds so the surgeon opted for a close to 360 incisions and I went back in. Its a few inches off a 360. No insurance, cash only. I am caring for my scar with silicon tapes, it's a lot of extra post cost following a tummy tuck. People don't discuss those costs, like lymphatic massages, compression garments, and silicon tapes that need replacement every so often and are not cheap. Good luck you only live once, do what makes you happy because being a mother is the hardest job we will ever have. Our body deserves the love that cosmetic surgery can give us back.

You should definitely make a video about your career and your journey to get there. I'm interested in maybe becoming a dermatologist and I just want to know is it worth it? There is lots of school and I don't want to do something I'm unsure about and put so much time into it just to realize its not for me. I bet a lot of people would benefit from a video like this and I would enjoy hearing your experiences.💕

I have binged your videos harder than a nextflix enthusiast has showgunned baby reindeer. I love your videos, your advice and delivery is astounding and so easy to follow and understand when so much conflicting info is everywhere, even between professionals in the industry. I am almost 37 and would say i have been blessed with good skin, until the last month where ive noticed ever so slight forehead wrinkles sitting at rest.. where did these bad boys come from! How dare you... But what to do? Slow and replenish with skincare or jump to my first botox? Having never done any sort of injectables the fear is real! But also this is the first time in my life where I feel self conscious about my skin... All downhill from here!

Hello lovely doc !!! Kindly answer these questions if you find them to be resonating with masses, in a shorts or video .
Sunscreen - does tint in foundation applied over proper good 50+ sunscreen give the effects of applying a tinted sunscreen?
Can you use one sunscreen when in meeting and apply a cheaoer one after 2.5 hours after presentation? Like use different sunscreens through out the day ? Like in evening when you get out re-apply a tinted mineral?
Hydroquinone - does one need to keep cycling it forever? Once started can one stop using hydroquinone completely ?
Many thanks for all your help !!!

Could you please review the new Beauty of Josean sunscreen serum as opposed to their regular sunscreen.? But what is the purpose of the serum? Thank you so much - your videos are so informative!

Dear doctor Idriss, since I was a child (like 13) I was very very skinny, but I had cellulite everywhere. On my arms, back, legs, belly, butt even on my ankles. I was and am sportive, don’t add sodium to my food, don’t smoke. Also my skin is really loose. It has to be genetic, because I don’t do anything that’s bad for me. Now I’m 45, I’m too ashamed to go to the beach, always cover my body with clothes. And I think it’s so unfair!! I’ve never been fat, but I look like I lost 50 kilograms or something.. :((

Yes, as the commenter above said, look into Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (that’s actually how it’s spelled). I have it, and it can cause all sorts of skin, connective tissue, etc issues. It can also cause serious health issues, so I definitely recommend looking into it. It’s genetic. Sending you much sincere love 😊💕❤️

Hey, Dr. Idriss! I have a really nice cream infused with pepper oils, coffee extract and shea butter. It heats up my skin making it go super super red for a while (its supposed to do that, according to the fabricant). Is the redness and heat a sign that the cream is properly activating my cutaneous blood circulation and helping with the lymphatic circulation as well? Should I replace it for dry brushing or do I use both of the approaches for better results? Thank you and I'm a sucker for your content 👏🏼🌻 keep it up!!
