I dont know how nobody is talking about how beautiful Labyrinth is Above Ground. If Labyrinth was in mania and was like this mod I think it would be my favorite zone in the game! Aquatic Ruin act 2 is also nice looking.
Funny enough this single video has somewhat caught the attention of the algorithm and has been giving me a decent increase in subscribers, and as such I should probably post actual content again soon outside of the occasional shit post, which I will. I'm going to be recording a channel update pretty soon for the content I want to do this year, etc.

Wood zone was supposed to be the past version of casino night, as Sonic 2 was supposed to have Time Travel implemented. The scrapped zone Wood Zone was supposed to Past Casino Night zone, not past Metropolis as literally everyone thinks now.

Aquatic ruin zone was unpopular? back then when i played it in my MD, I loved everything in this stage - except the underwater part. the scenarios, design, specially the music!
Who ever made the beat for Wacky Workbench was in the studio KILLING SHIT. SO GOOD. That beat breakdown at 20:55 was insane and when it went lower? I definitely made the STANK face

I'm not sure if it's going to be in the final version of this mod, but I do think people have started to figure out how to do custom bosses. There are going to be custom enemies though because Burrobots have been ported into Labyrinth and I'm presuming since one of the people working on this mod is also behind the Sonic 1, 2 and CD decompilations that most of the enemies from those games that aren't already in Mania that this mod represents will have them ported over. This is merely speculation on my part though.
I have a feeling that redesigning the oil ocean boss to look like hill top would have fit better than having the death egg robot a lot early, but it's hill top 6:00

As much fun as the original game is, seeing mods like this makes me yearn for a real-world "Sonic Mania 2."

I think both of Flying Battery's bosses fit really well in Wacky Workbench so I'm glad that was the decision made for that level.
Fun fact: the flying battery mini boss is inspired by the wing fortress boss and flying battery act 2 miniboss
