You two and your ‘endearing bickering’ makes me laugh. Looks like a beautiful area to explore. I am very familiar with spring water. Our old home base was adjacent to High Cliff State Park in Wisconsin and there were many springs running out of the cliffs year round with quite a few residents using it for fresh water. The bad side is in winter ice shoves grow and move across properties and have pushed garages off their foundations 😬

Wow. We used to do that on our family trip to Aurora WV for our family reunion...way back up in the hills of WV. But every year we literally had to stop on the side of the road like that to fill multiple one gallon milk jugs of mountain spring water. Nothing like it.
Nice! Hot Springs, AR has the fountains where you can fill them, but you have to do a heavier duty jug because it’s boiling hot. 🤣 I’m sure that people have learned some lessons with melted jugs
We go 4-wheeling in West Virginia all the time on the Hatfield Mccoy trails, it is beautiful riding all over. The pepperoni rolls are the bomb also!

Didn't read thru all the comments, but thought I would mention that the WV area is in a pretty severe drought. There is usually a lot more water coming over the Blackwater Falls. Really enjoy your channel.

We just got back from the Fayetteville West Virginia. Very beautiful! New River Gorge. A hike to a waterfall. An old coal mine etc. Stayed at Riftrafters camp ground. They have very good Wifi and the owners are very friendly!
Perfect! We’ve had a few others suggest that area as well. We will have to go there next time! ☺️

Yes! We had so many people recommend that state park. It was definitely worth it!
My wife is from WV. Salem, Sardis, Shinston and Mannington, grandparents lived in Mannington Traveled to Fairmont and Clarkston for big things. And my Bro in law and sister lived between Miami and Kayford, WV. There they took jugs and got water from the spigot on the side of a mountain. I loved chasing the lizards and salamanders (I was 15 at the time). What I remembered most was mountain, house, road, creek, railroad and mountain. Not necessarily in that order. And bears. I’m the walking fast… lol no to red, green peppers! Meat and taters man. Steaks Med rare. Pepperoni rolls in WV. Stick of pepperoni in dinner roll. Awesome! Enjoyed the video as always.
😁That sounds awesome! But those are often the memories that stick with us. Our lake time as kids we’re definitely some of our best memories.

In my old stomping grounds. Was born and raised in WV about 40 minutes from your location in this video. Just so you know you visited Black Water Falls at the peak of a long drought lol. It’s typically much wider and prettier! Another spot close to this area worth having a look is Seneca Rocks though you are likely out of the state by now. I have not lived there in 30 years now but it is a beautiful state!
Yes we passed Seneca Rocks, so we got to see them from afar, but that was it. Such a pretty area!

That waterfall is really low and it looks a lot better when it's really flowing and if you would have went on the other side there is stairs all the way down beside the waterfall

We've got the 6.6 Duramax with the Allison 10 speed and I'm with you on the steep hills. Sometimes they're steeper than I think, so if the truck shifts down more than two gears while on cruise, I'll turn it off.
Also...when I crest a hill that I know is super steep on the down side, I set the cruise at no more than 55 for the decent. It keeps the truck from going crazy on the down shifting to limit the speed.

Awe thank you! We won’t hit Ohio on this trip. We are headed to Pennsylvania and then we’re booking it to Indiana for a meet up. Ohio has a lot of nice gems too though!

Right?! That area had that small-town feel and I was chuckling coming out of the grocery store, because the men were so respectful and sweet. They seemed appalled that I was carrying a case of water and even one of the workers yelled at me and took it from me, before ringing it up. So funny!🤷♀️
Can you share your spreadsheet on tracking fuel? And how you differentiate between towing and non towing..?
The spreadsheet format is pretty simple. Date, starting point, destination, miles & MPG. I track the towing miles on a spreadsheet exclusively. The truck miles are what they are but I reset trip B at each oil change. The truck does a lot of it for me minus the trailer

We got these off of Amazon. We keep one under our coffee pot/by the stove and then one under our dish drainer. When smoothed out, they stay put, so we really never move them. They have different sizes and colors.

I love my large Traeger, but the small one I carried just acted up from day one. This one has been much BETTER. The small grills seem to be pretty finicky in comparison, but it's still nice to have on the road.
